Oscar the Handyman

Oscar came out the evening after I called to have a look He was working on the north side of town and couldn't make it until the evening. He had a look, confirmed that he could do the repairs, provided a price, and scheduled the work for a couple of days later. On the morning scheduled, it was raining. Oscar called early and asked about postponing the work due to the weather. I agreed and we rescheduled for the following morning. That morning he showed up on time ready to go. He was careful to put down protective sheeting so as not to dirty up the house. The repairs went quickly and smoothly. He used appropriate materials for the repair, ie used mesh tape over the cracks, not just a mud job. He took care to match the existing paint colors as well as possible for the small repairs. Also, during the work Oscar noticed a couple of other nail holes and scuffs that he quickly knocked out. After finishing, all areas were cleaned up thoroughly. We are quite pleased with the results and would use Oscar again.

. First called Oscar to cut door frame on back door to check door studs for rot prior to having new door/frame installed. Oscar showed up on time and was courtious and professional. After he finished the job he noticed that caulking was miissing aroun many place on floor molding and that they needed painting. We agreed to the price that included him supplying paint. Again he was on time, neat with painting and he did a good job on clean up after his work. When I asked him about changing the balast for 2 kitchen flouescent lighting units he declined as he wasn't licsend. As we were looking at the unit he spotted a smal wet spot in the ceiling near one of the units. He went up into the hott attic and found the leak which he repaired the next day. I was impressed with the job he did by replacing insulation and a heat barrier. I certainly will use him again in the future. I was really glad to find someone in my community as I like to keep as much as my business locally.

Oscar came out the day after I called; looked the situation over, decided how to solve the problem and gave an estimate. He came back the next day and completed the job within a few hours. I think the quality of his work was very good and the price reasonable. He is a very nice man; he works hard and efficiently and takes pride in his work.

Oscar Zuniga was recommended by the builder of our new home. We were moving in a short time span, and needed a dog door for our new back door in a hurry. Oscar was able to come the next day. He installed the door perfectly, even calking around the edges to get a good seal. He charged $65. When we needed decking in our two attic areas so we could use them for storage, we knew who to call, Oscar! He came out to give us an estimate the same day, and installed all the decking about two days later. He charged $250, including materials. My new pantry is very large, but even with the builder's expansion, I still needed more room. Oscar installed a large L-shaped shelf above the previous top shelf, and even painted it to match the existing shelves. You couldn't tell the new shelf hadn't been there originally. He charged $100, including materials. Oscar has always been fast, professional, and very inexpensive. I have found all his work to be of very good quality, and will be using him again next time I need a handyman.
