About us

Mosquito Shield was founded in September of 2001 in direct response to the absence of an effective and affordable mosquito barrier spray. We have all been there as homeowners, planning a family event in the backyard only to have it ruined by mosquitoes. It was clear that the available mosquito control products such as body sprays, candles, mosquito magnets and all other do it yourself mosquito barrier sprays were just not effective. Frustrated with trying all these expensive gimmicks, I decided to develop a real option for eliminating mosquitoes in my yard. After much research, and understanding the science behind the life-cycle of mosquitoes, I determined that a professionally applied property spray barrier would be the best option. After a few years of testing different mosquito control products and working tirelessly to develop the proper method for applying the product, Mosquito Shield was born. It did not take long to realize how effective this method was and the true need that existed for something that really worked. Mosquito Shield began to train licensed technicians on mosquito behavior, preferred habitats, and proper spraying techniques. We developed a patent pending barrier spray that, regardless when started, would last for weeks and grow in strength as the season progressed. This product is amazing!! Since the first spray, we have not noticed any mosquitos! I've alway been a "mosquito magnet" and now our grandson is too. We can be in the pool or yard in early morning AND at dusk with no worries and no sticky bug spray! I've been recommending it to all my friends. They make it easy - send me an email when they are coming and when they've sprayed. I wouldn't even know they were here otherwise!
