Description of Work: As it turned out. I did not have a problem with my electrical system. TXU had mistakenly turned off the power. My electrician successfully helped me resolve the problem and assure that there was no damage done by the mistake. I am grateful.

Description of Work: It was an emergency electrical problem. We called a few companies and finally Mister Sparky and that was the best choice we could make. Customer support was quick, supportive and communicated well. Service man was onsite in two hours and everything was solved within the hour. The technician was efficient and communicative. |Not a fun situation but I am glad I used Mr. Sparky

Description of Work: Electricians are expensive. Appointment was easy to set and convenient. The electrician called in advance and arrived as he said he would, early. He was professional, immediately put covers over his shoes and then walked with me and spoke with me to confirm what was needed and where. He removed an old light fixture and installed a fairly sizeable wrought iron ceiling light along with a dimmer switch; he replaced 10 wired ceiling smoke detectors through out the house. Took a bit longer to get the work completed than I expected, but he was very informative about the use of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Could I have gotten this work done more cheaply? Without a doubt. But with Mr. Sparky the work was done in the timeframe I wanted and warranteed.

Description of Work: Very professional; inspected the entire electrical system at home and provided a quote for the necessary repairs. Repaired a light-switch in the dining room and the ceiling fan since it had been installed incorrectly by a relative. |I am very satisfied with the technician's knowledge, the patience to go over all and explain the what's and why's of everything they saw at home. In addition, while inspecting the system, they discovered an electrical cable that was left incorrectly sealed/covered in the attic and immediately corrected with the proper electrical tools and accessories. The quote provided after the electrical system/wiring inspection provided the itemized repairs needed and their costs so as to provide me the flexibility of selecting the repair needing the most attention and meeting our current budget. I will definitely used Mr. Sparky again and again.

Description of Work: Checked light that was fading in and out and found that the wires were old. Did not have the right kind of light to replace the old fixture, but stripped and cut the old wire, put on wire caps and put the old fixture back on until I could get a new light to replace it.

Hi( members name removed) , my name is Richard Hodge I am the president of the Mister Sparky. Thank you for posting this review - we clearly deserve an "F" here for lack of response to the Angie's List E-Commerce Platform. I have my team fixing this by creating an email "group" for these type of notification rather than a designated person that may be sick or out of town on holiday. At this point, all we can do is the next right thing which is once we identified an error, pounce on it and fix it. Additionally I have asked my team to sort out giving you additional services for free because of our delivery defect here - if you are open to still permitting us the opportunity to fulfill your order. On behalf of my team, I have no excuses - just the truth. Our company runs over 1000 service calls per month. 99.9% of those come in via telephone. Why? I don't know, I am like you and like to do business on amazon, opentable, uber, text, and resist the phone unless its needed. So the bottom line is that this one email which is all we get from Angie's List that notifies us that someone has purchased something fell through the cracks. So we get one shot to get it right - no reminders... additionally we don't get any type of payment on this for about 30 days so a check in the mail would have prompted us to find out where the money came from because we have to match payments (revenue) to work performed... if the email fell through the cracks, we would then pick up phone and call customer to book the work. In this case, it appears that we missed the email, I am assuming you didn't call us? because we are open 24x7 and have a solid escalation path internally for problems. So the only way this hit our radar is an email notification of a review which we reviewed and why we are here today - so thank you for the review again. I am truly sorry for the fact we overlooked the email. I want you to know that we have not received any monies on this. if we did, it would have driven us to the website to investigate the source of funds and a determination of if we had successfully fulfilled the order. As of this writing, my team has reached out to you and left a voice mail. We will support what every your wishes are immediately. Description of Work: Had electrical issues that I didn't understand - the Technician provided an explanation and up front cost that was very acceptable. Description of Work: Installed a whole house surge protector. Apparently my ground rod was inadequate and I declined their offer to replace it at a cost of $266 so I rescheduled with them after buying one at home depot for $11 and installing it myself - took about 15 minutes. If they'd charged $100 I probably would have let them but they priced themselves out of that job. Other than that, the job went well and Leonard the electrician was very good, punctional and professional.

Description of Work: My heater was flipping the breaker and the ac company stated that the breaker needed replacing. Mr. Sparky had replaced my breaker box last year, they came out and stated that the element in my heating unit needed to be replaced and once it was the breaker was fine. Mr. Sparky treated this call as warranty work. I have been very pleased with Mr. Sparky and will use them again as needed.

Description of Work: He ran late but called to let me know he would be late and by how much. He came in and I showed him what I needed done and the materials I had. He talked with me about what he needed to do and performed the work. It took him approximately 25 minutes and he was completed. Great job.
