+ -1 moreNot only did he not charge me for his time but he was very professional and more importantly he knew what he was doing. This guy is the real deal, 20 plus years experience and it shows. I recommend Katy Pools to anyone out there who wants quality pool service and who is looking for an experienced professional to help them out.
Description of Work: Dave came out and sorted out my pool cleaner, my spa controller and disconnected the power to the pool lights (they have water in them).

+ -1 moreThey do pool service and pool remodeling. It was very good. They were very responsive. The owner is involved and they do everything well. The services were good. I like that they explained what they did. They showed us how it worked and all that stuff. The communication and friendliness was very good. They told us when they were going to be here and they followed up when they were done.
Description of Work: I used Katy Pool for pool service. They were last here for a pool repair.

Description of Work: They were asked to come and look at a leaking hose on my pool filter and to call me with an estimate of the cost of repair. They came and did the repair without my authorization and left me a bill for $95. When I questioned them about it they said they were very busy and it was just a $10 hose so they didn't bother to get authorization. I pointed out that for a $10 hose I was charged $95. They said the difference ($85) was the service charge (which was never mentioned when I made the appointment) and asked me if I wanted them to come back and remove the hose. I said no I did not want them to do that. Presumably it would cost another $85 to remove the $10 hose. I paid the $95 but found them to be very unprofessional.

+ -1 moreWe never used him because he never came out when we were supposed to go look at some pools that he finished or called us or even answer our calls. He was great for the service call and the price was reasonable. We had a clogged filter line and he worked very hard to get that unclogged and that is why we were trying to get him to give us a quote even though it is a small business.
Description of Work: We used Katy Pools to service our pool. We called them again in 2009 to get a quote to have our pool refinished.

+ -1 moreDavid is super!! Called because pool equipment was "not functioning properly". He came out figured out the problem and the next morning he replaced the "challenger" motor. Checked out the existing equipment and made sure everything was in good order.
