Katy Memorial Roof Cleaning & Power Washing is Houston's oldest (since 1994), most experienced roof cleaning company, and offers an exclusive 5 Year warranty. We are members of the Roof Cleaning Institute of America (RCIA), and owner Marcus Raif is a Master Certified Roof Cleaning Instructor. Other roof cleaning companies have not been around more than 3 or 4 years. We will be there if you should ever need us again. Katy Memorial Roof Cleaning & Power Washing does not use a pressure washer nor a harmful pitch witch to clean roofs. We apply chlorine based solutions approved by the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA) with no pressure that kill the bacteria & toxic mold spores immediately. Then we restitute your soils' pH and neutralize any runoff. Our system leaves no yucky sludge residue pollutant in your yard like a lot of our competitors do. That is the benefit of hiring a seasoned professional roof cleaner who uses the proper roof cleaning solutions and knows how to correctly clean your roof. Any company that is not applying chlorine based solutions approved by the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA) to clean your roof is not killing the spores of the bacteria that is growing on your roof. Therefore those companies set you up for a maintenance contract because it will need cleaning sooner. I do not believe in maintenance contracts. Repeat customers always get a discount.

Thank You for taking time to review my company. I like challenges and the back of your house was a challenge to clean because it had been so dirty. Please call us sooner next time. Mold and mildew causes paint to loose it capability to adhere to the substrate. That is why paint sometimes starts peeling off. To make the paint on your house last longest it is recommended to clean the paint every 2 years in the Houston area.

Thank You very much for the positive revue. However we did not power wash your roof. The number one rule off roof cleaning is that you do not pressure wash nor power wash a roof. Doing so dislodges the ceramic granules on composite roofs, forces water under the shingles, and only removes what you see. It does not kill the spores of the bacteria that are dissolving the roof. That is how we offer a prorated 5 year warranty on roofs that we clean. We spray a solution that kills the spores of the bacteria "Gloeoscapa Magma" that create the black streaks on roofs. Once you kill the bacteria it becomes transparent. We leave the solution on the roof and the rain reactivates it until it all gets washed off. Many of our customers, including myself many years ago, wonder what the difference between pressure washing and power washing are. When you pressure wash you use high pressure by using small diameter nozzle which creates high pressure. You should only allow your concrete to be pressure washed. Concrete takes 99 years to fully harden. In the 1st 6 years you can actually remove the cream of the concrete with high pressure. Therefore in those cases you must reduce the pressure. Power Washing is a technique that utilizes a pressure washer but you use a large diameter nozzle. This creates a venturi effect which draws a cleaning solution through the hose. You spray this low pressure solution on the house. It kills the mildew & mold on painted surfaces and deep pore cleans the areas it is sprayed on. Once the mildew & mold is dead, it no longer clings to the surface of the house and can be rinsed off with low pressure. In the case of your pool cool deck we cleaned it with the roof cleaning solution also. Mold causes the cool deck to loose it capability to adhere to the concrete and therefore comes loose and flakes away. Pool cool decks need to be cleaned as soon as possible after the mold on it turns black or you will have to repair it. The reason that I understand about all of these techniques is because I am one of only four power washers in the Houston metro area who is a certified member of the national organization of Power Washers of North America (PWNA). I have taken classes at yearly conferences on how to properly clean homes. I am also a Master Certified Roof Cleaning Instructor for the the national organization of roof cleaners - Roof Cleaning Institute of America (RCIA).

Responded quickly to request for estimate. On time for appointment. Claimed the estimate was at 20% discount, but I've never had this work done, so it's hard for me to judge. They also gave me an extra $25 discount, if I'd do it today. (The "price only good today" claim was a bit of a turn off, but I took him up on it just so I could get the job handled and off my list. I guess I had a good enough impression of the company that I also blew off the other estimate I was going to get). When I mentioned that I'd have to move the stuff off my patios, he said that they would do that. That was a nice touch, I thought. The work took about 1 1/2 hours. I'm very happy with the quality of the work.

Mr. Raif came as promised and made my house look like it did when I had it painted a few years ago. I assumed I would need to spend thousands to repaint, but Mr. Raif did such a great job that I can postpone the paint job. He stuck to his estimate and explained his process completely. He is very knowledgeable and it shows in his work. I have had power washing done before painting on this house and it did more damage than good. Not this time because Mr. Raif has taken the opportunity to train on the latest technology which makes him stand way above the rest out there.
Description of Work: I have an old home with lots of wood siding and wood windows that were dirty and covered with mold and mildew. I also had old brick that needed mildew removed. My concrete and brick steps in front and back also were dirty.

The owner (Marcus Raif)came to do the job as promised and introduced me to his technician. I had all my lower brick work cleaned and driveway and back patio cleaned. This was a lot of area and it was extremely dirty. I have seen neighbor's have this done and one young person with a small power wash unit would come out and spray the concrete. Mr. Raif came with a large trailer full of equipment. My technician sprayed solvents on everything first, then used a large circular power brush to clean the concrete and then power washed all the areas. He applied solvents on the brick to kill the spores and then washed that off with low pressure water. He did an excellent job and my brickwork looks great. The whole process was very professionalism I highly recommend this firm if you want the job done right. I may have paid a little more but it was all done in a manner that accomplished the cleaning and did not harm anything. I will also call him when next I need this type of cleaning.

We agreed on the work and the price and he gave me a written proposal. He established when he could do the work and was on time as promised.

Marcus or Katy-Memorial Power Washing, is the BEST! This is the second time he has done our patio, and is the only person/company we trust to do the work. He is delightful to work with, as he is professional and timely. I can't say enough wonderful things about his work and demeanor. Each time he cleans our patio, it looks brand new, like the day we had it built. I am also impressed that he continues his education in the Power Washing industry, by being CERTIFIED by the PWNA (Power Washers of North America). That shows he really cares, and is always knows the latest in his field.
