Ron and his wife, Carol, work very well together and are always very prompt about returning calls or emails. We originally contacted Ron because 4 of our friends had used him to install replacement windows in their houses, and they were all very pleased. We were dealing with a leaky 2nd story window which was leaking into the window below it...so ours was an especially challenging project! I contacted them through Angie's List late on a Friday night - and they offered to come out that Sunday to see what could be done to help with this window; that Ron could even come out after his golf game! I didn't want to take his weekend family time away from him, so he came out on Monday morning. Originally we had not even considered replacing our windows, but after discussing the problem with Ron, and also having other leak detection tests done, we determined that in this case, replacing windows was the only thing to do. At first we were just going to do the front and side of the house and save the rest for later...but in the end we went ahead and got everything replaced. Because of my unique situation, Ron and his crew installed half of the windows on one day (leaving the downstairs window that had the water leaking into it from above in place until we could determine that no more water was coming down into it) - and then they came back several weeks later to finish the job. I appreciated their flexibility and doing the job in the order I needed. Ron and his crew are a well-oiled machine. They arrive before the sun comes up - each has his own job - and they get to work very quickly. They work well together - communicating as they go along. They know their stuff. They were very patient with me, as I tend to ask a lot of questions and want to understand why certain things are being done. They answered every question and then some. They kinda felt like family before the whole thing was over! When they came back for the second installation, upon removing the old window that had the water leaking into it - they found rotten wood above that frame, so before installing the new window, they took out the rotten wood and replaced it with a hardiplank strip. We did not realize we had this damage until they were into the installation. They handled it with professionalism and expertise. Without hesitation, I would recommend Ron Hopper Construction for installation of windows. You won't find a more honest and experienced guy out there - he has been doing this for years. He told me once that you can get the most expensive windows out there - and still have problems with them if they are not installed correctly. His crew knows how to do the job right. Oh, and his wife, Carol, was always on top of things as far as getting my questions, answered, sending quotes, warranty information, etc. Both Ron and Carol are honest, down-to-earth people. We are enjoying our new windows and would recommend Ron Hopper Construction for replacement windows in your house.

I have been negligent in entering this review in a timely manner, but I wanted to follow through because I have never dealt with such an honest and straight forward person as Ron Hopper!! This is a family business. Ron's wife, Carol, handles the appointments and the ordering and delivery of the material, and Ron actually does the work his company is hired to do alongside his three long time crew members. Ron Hopper was referred to us by a neighbor who had previously hired him to put windows in their home and do additional work on the exterior of their house. My neighbor is a very particular person, as my husband and I are, and the referral was very positive. When Ron came to our home to give us an estimate for windows, he was very polite, very knowledgeable about his product (Mastic Windows by Ply Gem), and answered every question we had. He had a sample of the windows with him and was able to demonstrate how they work. When Ron measured our windows, he took the time to explain how the measurement is done and why certain areas had to be counted as more than one window (window sizes only come in a maximum width, safety requirements, special windows such as bay windows, etc). Ron even was able to recommend savings in some areas by combining two windows into one or changing a sash window into a picture window. The window manufacturer has 3 series of windows - 3000, 4000, 5000. We never felt pressured to buy a more expensive window from him. Ron felt the quality of the least expensive window was just as good as the most expensive. Due to the different options in each series, we selected the 4000 series because we wanted white vinyl showing on the windows inside of our home and beige vinyl showing on the outside. The 3000 series windows are white both inside and out. After giving us his price of $7100 for 13 windows, we hired him on the spot because we felt the price was definitely within market value, we loved the product, and most of all we felt we could not get a better contractor to perform the job. With Carol's oversight, the windows were delivered when promised prior to installation. On the day of installation, Ron and his crew were very prompt and began work immediately. Rain was predicted so Ron removed windows according to exposure to the rain. He and his crew all worked very well together - like a fine oiled machine. Each person was responsible for a specific part of the job and the installation went so incredibly smooth! It was amazing to watch them work! In one of our windows we had some old termite damage. They notified us of it and repaired the wood prior to installing the window. They were always cognizant of our landscape plants when working in them or near them. One of Ron's crew members' responsibility was to clean up after they put each window in. This crew member even brought out a vacuum cleaner and vacuumed to make sure that there was no glass shards anywhere. Ron and his crew treated our house like it was their own! They finished in the stated time and left our house like they were never there! We have had our windows in for 7 months now and we are very happy with our purchase. Due to the fact that we had original windows from 1978 in our house, our electric bill has notably dropped - more than we expected. Two of our neighbors across the street from us saw Ron's work and also ended up hiring him. We cannot say enough good things about Ron Hopper and his company. We understand why he has maintained a successful business for over 30 years! We highly recommend him! We would hire him again in a second.

They do excellent work. I was very pleased with the professionalism, workmanship, and quality of the material. They left the place spotless when they finished.

I was considering putting solar screens on all my westward facing windows in preparation for the Texas summer. I mentioned this to my coworker one day, and he said they used to have screens but hated them and eventually changed their windows instead. He recommended Ron Hopper to me. I was worried about the cost of changing windows, but the quote I got from Ron was a good price. (Also, solar screens installed cost more than I thought). So I went ahead and had all my westward facing windows changed, 13 windows total. The windows were delievered the afternoon before the install day. Ron and his crew of 2 other guys showed up the next day at about 7am and had all 13 windows changed by 12:30pm. Although there was a lot of breaking glass and ripping out of window frames, they did a very clean job. It almost looked like the house was built with these windows! I was afraid I'd have to go back and touch up the paint around the windows, but I really don't have to. Ron made the comment that he treats the jobs like it's his own house, and he definitely meant it. They cleaned up the work space thoroughly after they finished. I am a very satisfied customer and I will definitely have him come back to change the remaining windows in my house.

Ron Hopper and his crew did a fantastic job. They had all of our windows replaced in 2 days, and there was no mess, which had been one of my fears about replacing the windows. They were prompt and professional and had a great work ethic. Our home looked 100% better and it is much quieter with the new windows. We are very picky about contractors, but we were so happy with their work that we have referred several other people to them.

My house is adjacent to a busy street so we heard a lot of traffic noise. We also weren't able to open the windows because they were old. After Ron replaced the windows it was as though the busy street had disappeared--we can hardly hear the traffic, and the windows now open and close easily. One of the windows was installed with the wrong type of glass in it, but there was no problem getting that replaced.

Hooper did a great job. They sat down with us, went over the options, and helped us to choose what was best for our house. The pricing is on the high side, but their product is of the highest quality. The work they do is top notch.

Ron answered my call promptly, followed up readily with an estimate and installation. He was very reasonable with his prices and was able to explain the specific solution for lower heating bills and the warranties. The installation was scheduled as soon as the windows were available, and the installers were on time. They took out the old windows and put in the new windows and cleaned up all the mess. The house looked better after they finished, than before they started.
