We needed to extend our patio cover. We literally talked to over a dozen contractors. Never got any transparent information and pricing was just unreasonable. Thankfully one of my friend suggested Brian Hooven who had done great work on their pergola. Brian was easy to approach and very transparent about the details. The pricing was fair. This was during the covid times so there were upcoming increases and he kept me posted so we were able to get materials before the increase. He helped with engineering drawings, HOA approval and city permit. His team took care of the work in just 1 day! We have had bunch of storms since the installation and the cover is super sturdy without any leaks. We are extremely happy and enjoying our patio! I would recommend Brian Hooven and his team for any patio covering work without any reservations.

A patio cover is a must in Texas to fully enjoy your backyard. I invited several bids including from highly rated patio cover builders on Angi. I found Brian Hooven of Hooven Home Innovations to be the most experienced, easy to talk to, and committed to delivering a quality product. He was also willing to get the job permitted, which set him apart from some of the other contractors. We discussed several design options after which I settled on a combination design including a solid insulated cover along with an attached latticed pergola. The cover included recessed lights and ceiling fans. Hooven Home’s design and bid was the most attractive. Also, throughout the process, Brian was never pushy, which was refreshing. Hooven Home had structural drawings prepared, applied for the city permit and ordered materials. On install day, Brian and his crew arrived on time, and continued to work for the next three days doing a meticulous job to build a quality patio cover. I am very pleased with the patio cover and look forward to enjoying it for many years.

Brian did an amazing job building our patio cover. From my research I had found out Brian to be an expert installer of aluminum patio covers. What came as a pleasant surprise is his ability to design covers to fit the contours of our house and to meet our tough requirements. An added advantage is that Brian is a handy electrician and did the entire electrical installation which was challenging because of a) access to electrical wiring and b) our stringent requirements. Brian also took care of all the permitting including the necessary engineering drawings needed by the city. Finally Brian provided quick turnaround and completed project on time and on budget. I have nothing but positive things to say about Brian and his crew’s quality of work and work ethic. I strongly recommend Brian for any patio cover project and I do so without any reservations.
