Everything was done on time with care to protect our property. They raked up the pieces that were scattered and we were left with a nice pile of wood chips to use as mulch in our flower beds. Good work.

So, so nice. On short notice did work a few days before New Year's. On time, worked non-stop until finished. City removed dying very old, large oak tree from parkway--but, not obtrusivness, danger, and the eyesore of the stump. Didn't damage a thing. left the ground level. Spread the large amount of wood mulch created by grinding in all my flower beds. Didn't make a mess and our place looks so much better. The mulch would have cost a bunch, and we needed it. Seemed to only take a couple of hours. I was so relieved to have it gone. Seemed extremely trustworthy. Paid electronically once work was done. Price very reasonable.

My experience went very well. I was pleased with outcome of the service. The pricing is reasonable. The staff is friendly and professional. I would recommend this company to others.

The company I used to remove this tree told me they couldn't get a stump grinder into the location to remove the stump. In order to get the damaged fence repaired, however, I needed to get the stump ground. I found Dean's stump removal and gave them a call around 9am in the morning. The Lady who took my call was quite nice and told me Dean was in my area today and could come by. She would give me a 1/2 hour call before to let me know he was on his way. I agreed and around 1:30 I received her call. Dean was there before 2 and assessed the situation. He was concerned about damaging the post that the tree had grown up next to and said he would get as close as he could without damaging it. The damaged section of fence needed to be removed in order for him to get the stump grinder into the area through the neighbor's yard. He gave me a price and I agreed - he began the work. (He had the grinder with him!) Dean removed the fence piece for me which was very nice of him. Before the hour was up the stump was in bits. He discussed with me some options for keeping the roots from sprouting a new tree in the future. I wouldn't hesitate to give this company a call again.

Overall work was speedy, professional and done right the first time.

Actually, it all starts with Dean's wife June, who answers the phone. She is very pleasant. She booked the time and date, and called me as Dean left his office to come to my house. His stump grinder actually DOES fit within a 30 inch gate, and that is a show in itself. Dean used a tarp to enclose his workspace, and no sawdust went into our pool (which is adjacent to the stump). I was worried about how they were going to avoid damaging sprinkler system, pool deck, but they were able to demonstrate and reassure me. They cleaned up after themselves. They were polite, professional, and the price reasonable. Dean gave me further advice on how to clear the rest of the area. I will use them again if I need.

It went well and quickly, and the price was very reasonable. I was very pleased.

I phoned Dean's and spoke to his wife. She took the information from me and I authorized Dean to go into my backyard (I am not living in it but it is being repaired) for purposes of assessing the job. The next day she phoned me with his bid, which I quickly accepted since it was so reasonable in my opinion. She phoned me early in the morning a couple of days later to ask if Dean could do the job that day, to which I agreed. I went to my house at noon and the job was completely done: the stump was gone and the crater filled. As an aside, the contractor repairing my house told me he observed Dean for several minutes that morning because Dean and his helper were working so efficiently and hard grinding the stump. I actually had to call to get the bill faxed to me, which she quickly did and I paid (gladly) for a job well done.

I called and talked to Dean's wife on a Friday morning and requested an appointment to remove the stumps. Dean had already left for the day and would not be back until late that evening. She asked if Saturday would be OK and I said I would be going out of town this week, but would be home the next Friday. She said she knew of someone else who may be able to call later Friday afternoon. About 2:00 we got a call from Tracy, Dean's brother-in-law who was in town helping Dean with the large amount of work caused by Hurricane Ike. Dean stopped by and gave an acceptable quote and got to work. He was very careful moving the grinding machine to minimize damage to other plants and the fence. Tracy uses the same type of custom grinding machine as Dean does. The machine has adjustable wheels to allow it to fit through a standard backyard wood fence gate opening. The more common stump grinding machines are too wide to go through a gate opening and require that part of the fence be taken down.

Dean was GREAT! I called for a quote and he came out the next day and wrote one up. I called back that night with questions, and he called back the same day and answered all my questions. The next morning I called his office to schedule the work and he fit me in the following day. He and his wife June are tops in "customer relations." They're professional, responsive and nice!

IT WENT WELL. THE JOB WAS DONE IN ABOUT HALF AN HOUR.

I was very pleased with the work performed by Dean's Stump Removal. Had contacted 2 other stump removers for estimates and they were poor to respond, if at all. Called Dean's, they came out to estimate next day, had equipment with them. Liked their estimate (expected to pay more!) and had them do the work right then. Needed to mow front yard so they could do the job, but was out of gas after doing back yard day before. They filled up my mower for me so I didn't have to leave to get gas! They left everything level and easy to clean up afterward (didn't have them take away, not sure if they do). Very, very pleased, highly recommend, would definitely refer to others, and use again if/when needed.

We have them come in whenever we need tree work done. We have used them several times and have never been disappointed yet. They removed three stumps for us this last time, and he mulched them right away for us. They were also the only ones with a machine that could fit through the side to get in our backyard.
