Custom Painting

The first time I hired them was about three years ago. At that time, they painted my living room and dining room area. We were so pleased with their work and service, we decided to call them again when remodeling our kitchen. My husband and I wanted to remove our kitchen’s wallpaper, but it wasn’t budging. Custom Painting provided a great solution, and instead primed and textured over the wallpaper. Because of their great work, you can’t even tell wallpaper is underneath the paint. They do great, high quality work, and I would definitely give them my recommendation.

They did interior painting and dry wall repair for my new house. They did a fantastic job. They painted about ten rooms, and repairs some large holes in the dry wall. They arrived on time, provided all paint and colors as ordered, they finished exactly when they promised, and there were no surprise charges at the end of the job. I am extremely pleased with the work they did.

I have hired them to paint my house. I thought they were very professional and that they had good references. They came when they said they were going to come and their work was excellent. No complaints

They were really good. I was really happy with them. They were punctual. I wasn't home, and I wasn't truly happy with the way they did the outside. I called them back and talked to the guy. He agreed with me and sent somebody out to correct it. They remedied that situation. I have been recommending him for about 12 years now.

Please ignore my previous rating on Custom Painting. I got him confused with some one else. My fault. He's a great guy. Just didn't meet our bufget requirements.

I had a water pipe leak in my wall causing extensive damage to the drywall and carpeting. Custom painting gave me an estimate for the drywall repairs and painting which was less than half the next closest bid. They arrived on time each day (it was a two day job) and finished work earlier than I expected. They not only repaired the damaged/missing drywall but did many other drywall repairs and patches. They textured and painted my great room with high vaulted ceilings and the hallway leading to my front door. In all aspects of the job, their work was excellent. Because of being the lowest bidder, I expected them to shortcut the quality of the work. They did no such thing. They even had a supervisor come in to check on the work and progress each day. They did an EXCELLENT job and EXCEEDED my expectations in every way. I would definitely recommend Custom painting to friends and family and anyone else looking for a great paint job at an excellent price! I plan on using them again to do more interior painting. What better recommendation can I give than that?

They are a very good firm. I rate them an A+ overall. They were kind of expensive. They did not tell me that if I wanted a second quote of painting to be done that would cost me extra. I ended up paying for a second quote. The work was supposed to cost me $2500 and it ended up costing me $4500. They thought first that only one quote will be enough; however, they had to put another quote. They did a great job. They were very responsive and were on time. The work ended up looking great. I was very happy with the result.

First, I would like to say that I used this company based on the reviews here at Angie's List. I was very disappointed in the overall service. The one painter spent most of his time talking on his cell phone while he was painting, which definitely affected the quality of his painting. I asked them to put 2 coats of paint on since I paid for 2 coats, and he told me that one coat was fine. I called Stephen, the gentleman who gave me the estimate, and he said that they would apply 2 coats. However, you can tell that in certain areas there is only one coat. They sprayed our bathroom cabinets and did a terrible job - a terrible job for $700! They completely missed a section on one side, so there is a stripe of the old color showing through. I asked for a receipt, and Stephen seemed annoyed to have to write one up, and told me that he would get it to me in the mail. He was very busy with a big job that he let me know about, so our small project was apparently not a priority. By the end, I really just wanted them out of my house. I have gone back over areas such as baseboards where they couldn't be bothered to take their time and do a good job. I definitely won't be recommending them to family, friends, or neighbors. I had simple reasonable expectations of quality service that were not met.

They had done the interior painting before. The exterior painting was for a small section of the house. They were on time and sent plenty of people to do the work. They did a really good painting job. They worked non stop until it was time to go home. They were great and I will use their services forever.

It was very good value for the money. I would definitely recommend them and already have.

Very well. The gentleman making the bid had to reschedule our first appointment but showed up on time for the rescheduled day. The crew arrived right when they said they would each day. They were very neat and professional. The job was very well done and they left everything as they found it. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I felt the price was very fair and that I got more than I paid for.

They did a great job. We were told that the project would start at 9:00am and conclude around 5:00pm. However, we needed to leave the house before 2:00pm to make an appointment, so the contractor brought extra people to paint to ensure we left on time. They actually concluded around 1:20pm

I got an estimate from Stephan several days before closing on my home. Called him the day after closing, and scheduled them in for the following Tuesday. He said they'd be out by noon Wednesday, and they were. You couldn't tell there had ever been any damagewhere they had repaired a 2'x4' patch where there had been water damage to the cieling, and some other places on the walls. They left the place as clean as they found it. A great experience. I will probably use them again.

I was really happy with the work. It was suggested that I put crown molding in my living room. They could have done it and charged me but he said that I may not like it. There is a place where the high ceiling angles down to a normal height ceiling and then kind of meets up with the kitchen, and it is really odd where it does that. He said that they could do it but I would hate it because of that one place. They must have a lot of experience for him not to recommend it, and I thought that that was great. I didn?t check other providers because they came recommended by decorators who had used them a lot. So I?m not sure of the cost but I think the price was pretty much on. They put furniture back after they were finished.

Anthony was prompt in coming out and pulling together an estimate and providing it while at our home. The work was done in one day in a timely manner with no clean up issues. Prices are very good. I will use this company again for future services.

The process took about 3 weeks. They did a good job. There was nothing really that I didn't like about this company. They did everything they said they would do. We chose this company because it was on Angie's List & other people who have used this company seemed satisfied with them. I would give them all A's across the board. I would use this company again in the future.

They are great! They do clean up after themselves. They are very friendly and they do come to work on time as well. The price that they gave me is reasonable and they are doing quality work.

It went very well. I didn't meet Anthony in person but his workers were very professional and neat. They didn't spill any paint on the floor. They did a very good job. When my husband told them he wanted to do the entertainment center and the damaged wall too, they immediately got Anthony on the phone who quoted $70 for the extra work. They did a good job on everything.

They came in and did a good job at a reasonable price.

Reasonable prices. I liked the fact that they were so neat. There wasn't a drop of paint anywhere. Trust me, I looked. They worked so efficiently it was like they weren't even there.

Overall the project went very well. They had difficulty with covering the wall paper in the master bath and had to re-do a couple of walls multiple times. This extended the time and effort of the overall project and there was not additional cost. I even changed my paint color on one wall (they mixed my paint colors) and changed from painting one bedroom to adding a half bath (texturing and painting) with no change in my price. The workers were very neat and cleaned up behind themselves every day. They accommodated my schedule when asked. The only area for improvement would have been the detail on a couple of smaller pieces (they needed a smaller brush).

This was just an okay experience. There was some miscommunication and one day they didn't show up and left their things lying around. They did pick up some mess. We had to have them come back 3 different times to correct some minor things. They had to re-do one portion of the house because they forgot to put on the Hardy planks first.

I was very pleased with the work that they did. Every problem they found they took care of with no hassle. They showed up on time or would call 24 hours in advance to let me know what was going on.

I was not home when the painters arrived, but came home shortly thereafter. The living room was already halfway painted. There was only one person working but he was very efficient. The job was finished by early evening and the house looked great.
