Great experience from start to finish.

I got four bids and from highly rated contractors and Colony was the lowest, though they were all within $1000. In addition, Colony had a shorter waiting list, offered a $200 discount for Angie's List members, and said they could replace my roof in just one day. I found Steve Furber from Colony to be professional and trustworthy. I selected Colony to replace my roof and they did so on 2/24/2016. They came on schedule and completed the job in one day as promised, despite dealing with windy weather. They did a good job cleaning up. The final cost was unchanged from their estimate. They sent me the warranty paperwork for the roof on 3/3/2016. The new roof looks great and came through the first big rain since it was installed with no apparent leaks or other problems.

The sale of my property was pending on replacement of the hail damaged roof . The contractor moved in with minimum delay and replaced the roof in two days. The workmanship was excellent. The protection of landscaping and post job cleanup was very thorough. The post replacement inspection passed without a problem and we were able to close on schedule.

Steve and the team that he sent to work on our home were amazing! I had a nightmare experience with a previous contractor on my floor so went into this a little gun shy. Steve the owner communicated exceptionally and the team that did the work were the best I have ever seen. I have had people stop and ask who did our home because they are so impressed with the upgrade. It truly has made our house look new again. Anything that these people can do for me, I will definitely be calling them first. I plan to replace my windows in the future and found them to be the most affordable out there, and from this experience I know they would do great work. I also had them do some work on my chimney's and sealing around all areas on the roof and they did a great job with this as well. I will be referring them to everyone I know. It's a breath of fresh air to have a contractor that you can truly trust :-)

They replaced our roof, and it went very well. The crew arrived on schedule, and completed the job in 1 1/2 days. Steve the owner was present both days and stopped by Saturday afternoon to conduct a final inspection. Hubby told me later that the hot water heater duct was damaged in the process, so had to replace it, but overall we are still pleased, and the GAF shingles look great. We got several estimates and this company was in the middle, so think the price was fair. And the fact that Steve was a really nice guy, added to the experience. We are considering having them replace our windows as well, so would hire them again and recommend them to others.

Can't recommend highly enough. Steve (the owner) is honest and wonderful to work with. His crews are punctual, hard-working, do not cut corners, and do a quality job. Ours was not an easy job (steep slopes, lots of valleys with potential for leak if not done right) and we are extremely pleased with the end result.

Excellent job done by Colony Roofing. Workers arrived on time, were very professional, repaired the problem and cleaned up before they left. This was the second time that I have used Colony and I am very satisfied with their work and prices.

Right on time and worked all day, cleaned up everything before they left on day one. Came back on Tuesday and completed the job. The roof looks so nice and complements the brick on my home. I'm very happy that a friend of mine gave me Steve's name. He put a roof on her home and she was very impressed with Colony Roofing. Word of mouth is the best advertising...

I needed a new roof and decided to have some exterior painting done and some hardy plank replaced on my patios before the roof was replaced. I researched and read reviews on several companies and narrowed it down to meet with 3. All 3 companies had good reviews but after meeting with Steve Furber at Colony Roofing and Exteriors I chose him to do my project. I liked Steve's approach. I thought he was honest and straightfoward and his quote was competitive. I asked a lot of questions and he was patient in dealing with them. He provided me good information and did not try to sell me. Both the paint and roofing crews did a great job. They showed up on time and finished the jobs in a timely fashion even though they were working around some weather delays and the holidays. Both crews kept the mess of doing any construction work to a minimum and did a good job of clean up. Steve was on site several times with both crews to inspect their work and had some things corrected to his satisfaction that I probably would not have noticed. I would use Colony Roofing again in the future and would recommend them to anyone i know who needs their services.

Sometimes just everything goes right! Steve showed up on time, and gave a good price. Our rood was leaking, and rain was predicted, so they put a tarp over the roof for the next few days. His crew started on Thursday, ( when they were supposed to) and got right to work. They were done the next day. They did a great clean up job sweeping all the roofing nails off the driveway.

All when very well. We got off to a slow start, however, once the crew got started they performed like a well oiled machine. The Furbers are stand up guys who go the extra mile to get the job done right!! I met will Steve jr first. Steve jr is a very honest guy. He answered all of my questions and made sure that I was comfortable with the work that was going to be done. Once I meet Steve sr, It was obvious as to why Steve jr handles business in a very professional way. The crew as great! They even did things that I was not expecting them to do. Overall, I was very satisfied with my price and the work that was done. I have recommended colony roofing to a co-worker. I hope my co-worker decides to hire colony roofing. He won't regret it!! One more thing, They did an AMAZING job with the clean up!!!! I can't say more, you have to hire colony roofing!!!

Everything went like clockwork. Steve is punctual, professional and returns phone calls quickly. He helped me understand the insurance process (hail damage claim) better than my insurance agent and claims adjuster. He worked with my insurance company and submitted all the required paperwork in a timely manner. Now I have a beautiful new roof and I am completely satisfied with the process and results. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing a new roof or roof repairs.

I have chosen Colony Roofing & Exteriors because of the good reviews on Angie's List. I have learned now that a good review, even on Angie's List, is of little value. About a year ago this company fixed a leak in my living room. A little more than two weeks ago, the living room leaks again. I have called Steve Furber once and left two messages on Colony's Roofing answering machine. Colony Roofing never called me back. The contract states that the warranty for repair is two years, so I am well within the warranty period. Two years is a good warranty in theory, but worthless in practice if Colony Roofing does not even has the courtesy to call back. P.S.: Just before submitting this review I was checking on recent reviews by other people. It seems that this company has problems with calling back their customers. UPDATE(1):This update is about Colony Roofing reaction on my critical review above. Mr. Furber reached out to me by email. He explained the situation and apologized. I accepted his explanation and apology. I commend mr. Furber for fixing an unwanted situation. He came the day after we talked on the phone. Mr. Furber fixed the leaks himself under the warranty terms. The next day he called to inquire if I noticed any leak during the heavy rain of the previous night. The leaks were fixed. He told me that I have to call him if it leaks again. I could afford to wait a couple of weeks to fix the leaks because they were tiny. Also, I wonder if mr. Furber would have reached out, had I not written a critical review.UPDATE(2): We can argue if the leak falls under the warranty or not, but regardless, I have offered to pay but Mr. Furber did not accept. Overall I am pleased with Colony Roofing. They care about what customers think.

Updated: He contacted me and apologized for the inconvenience. He had some personal issues and vowed to make it right, which he did. He came a few days later to repair the shingles that were causing a leak and water damage in my garage and didn't charge me. That's something you don't see too many businesses do nowadays. That's something i appreciated. Old Review: He acknowledged my request that I had sent to him via his website and said he would call me the next day. I heard nothing. The following day I emailed him and asked if we could set up an appointment since I didn't get a call from him. He said he'd call me the next day and once again I heard nothing from him. First contact was last Thursday and it's Wednesday evening and never heard back. I'll never know if his quality is top notch. Not professional.

I got three bids from different companies for a total roof replacement. Steve Furber from Colony Roofing was right on time for the estimate, explained the advantages of using high quality GAF shingles and addressed all of my concerns about the existing roof and its trouble spots. I decided to use them because of their Angie's List reputation and their price of the total job using the higher quality materials. They were not the cheapest of the three since one bid used lesser quality materials, but they were much better priced than the other company which also used the same GAF materials. Steve was very responsive to my follow up questions after the initial visit and stayed in touch with me during the few weeks it took to get my job scheduled. When the scheduled day arrived, the crew showed up just before 7:00am and went straight to work. They quickly had the old roofing shingles removed and started installing the new materials. They worked until 7:30pm and I was amazed at how much progress they could make in one day. We had a little rain the second day, but the crew did an excellent job of having exposed sections of roof covered and minimizing those sections so water did not penetrate the surface. By the end of the second day that just about had the whole job complete which was just amazing to me. Since we had heavier rain scheduled for the third day, the crew showed up even earlier and made sure that everything was complete and water tight before the rain began. This was good because around noon we had heavy rains, but they were already done and gone and the house was completely water tight. The crew had mistakenly removed a power attic ventilator from the garage and decked over the hole, but a quick call to Steve at the end of the second day remedied this and Steve purchased a new ventilator and had them install it with no change in the cost of the job. When they were finished the roof looked great! They did an excellent job at properly installing side flashing which included cutting into the brick wall of the second story and properly adhering the flashing which was not done originally. At the speed at which they completed the job, I was amazed to find every line straight and true. Steve has a real professional crew and I can not say enough about the quality of the job and the time it took to complete. Although the house looked like a huge mess during the job, when they were done, EVERYTHING was picked up and gone and you would not have even known they were there. It has been over a month since the work was completed and I've only been able to find about 6 nails! We've had trouble with our roof since purchasing this home, but after the job was complete I got up on the roof and looked at the work closely, paying special attention to the 'trouble' areas. I'm confident that my days of worrying about leaks are over! Steve runs a really fine company and obviously works with crews that really know what they are doing. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing roof work without hesitation.

I had a good experience. They showed up on time. They did what they said they were supposed to do. It's all subjective. They did a great job.

Steve was great - his guys were professional and finished the job on time and cleaned up afterwards. The folks he subcontracted out for painting and gutters were just as good. Steve was very patient with us because we have a very aggressive HOA - the process can sometimes take forever - Steve was courteous and checked up on the work - I would recommend Colony to anyone who is looking at a new roof or roof repair.

They did a terrific job. The owner is a great guy and replaced this same roof 10 years ago with the previous owners.

Steve Furber with Colony visited with us and provided information and answered all of our questions. Provided estimate that we accepted on the spot. We were impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. The day of the installation, his crew showed up on time and got straight to work. Job took a little over two days and all areas were cleaned up afterwards. Roof looks great

Work was done correctly first time by date promised for cost quoted.

Steve, the owner, was great. I thought he was very professional and helpful. The guys that did the work of roofing the house did ok. There were a few places where they could improve. We had a small solar light panel for a small solar light screwed in with two screws on the fascia board, and instead of removing the panel (or even asking about it), the roofers cut the drip flashing and put it on either side of the solar panel. The solar light was by no means a long term fixture or even difficult to remove (2 screws held it in place). I had the guys fix that because the light one day would be removed and the drip flashing would have been missing. The guys also got sloppy with the ridge rows on some of the hip sections. Instead of taking the time to pop a chalk line and make the ridge straight they tried to "eyeball" it and it was crooked all the way up. I had to ask them to fix those. The water heater vent got jostled around and it was leaking water around it. I had to call Steve about it to get it fixed. The roofers did not always do a very good job cleaning up the job site every day before they left. They even left tools on the roof one day and I had to go up and get them off so that there wouldn't be a risk of them falling on someone's head. At the end of the job after asking the guys to fix the items mentioned and clean up some of the mess they made, the head guy at the site was obviously frustrated with me and even called me names in Spanish thinking I would not understand what he was saying. I did not let on that I knew what he was saying because all that really mattered to me was that the job was done satisfactorily. At the end, the roofers loaded up all the debris from the roof in a single, long trailer. The trailer was so loaded down it looked like the tires were going to blow out. When they drove out the trailer, I believe they broke the end of my driveway from the weight. I didn't notice it was broken until a couple days later when I actually walked to the end of the driveway to go get the mail, so I never bothered Steve about it and I only mention it here for others to be aware about this potential. Steve followed up the job with a call to ask me if everything was to my satisfaction. The final product was satisfactory. I did not discuss these small issues with Steve at the time. Had I not told the guys at the job site about the issues, maybe Steve would have. That would have taken more time to get things finished up. I didn't want to have to wait any longer to have things finished. We had rain and the job ended up taking a little over a week to complete. We also had out of town company coming the next day or so and we did not want to have any construction going on at our house when they arrived. If the rating were for Steve it would easily be an "A." Because of the slight issues I had, I do have to give a "B" rating.

Working with Colony Roofing was as pleasant an experience as one can have when putting a new roof on your house. Steve showed up and went over the quote with us and didn't try to up-sell anything. He listened to what we wanted and made reasonable recommendations. When it did come time to do the installation, everything we perfectly. The workmanship is great and at a great price. When everything was done the crew did an excellent job cleaning up all the construction waste. I haven't found any nails in the yard. The work crew even took extra care not to trample the plants around my house. The new roof looks great. I would not hesitate to recommend Colony Roofing to anyone looking for a new roof.
