Cobalt Custom Pools LLC

How did it go? Horrible! Recommendation NOT to use Cobalt Custom Pools. How do I even start? We signed a contract with Cobalt Custom Pools in November 2021 to complete a pool remodel. The work began in February and was supposed to be 3 week job - we are still in mid-May and not complete. Cobalt Custom Pools is not paying their subcontractors and I am getting invoices on my doorstep and sent to us to pay since they are not being paid. We have paid our invoices to pool company. We are getting threats that they are going to come demo our project and undo all their work. The owner / contractor will not call my husband or I back. Nor will he meet with us. Last time we saw him was March 1st. He won’t respond to emails. Texts occasionally with excuses but will respond to FB Messenger. He has blocked me so I can leave a review on FB on his company page. Our construction site has been a mess and I have had to pay for debris and materials to be removed so my kids wouldn’t get hurt. Do not recommend getting into business with him!!! Beware. And if you have a project with him, make sure your subs are paid. Every word out of his mouth is a lie.

I called Cobalt Custom Pools because they had done work with us in the past. We are planning on doing extensive renovations and upgrades on a pool at the house we recently purchased. The approximate cost is on the order of $100, 000 (based on other estimates we have gotten. We set a date for Clint to come up to our new house to assess the extent of our renovations and to prepare and estimate. I did explain to Clint that since we weren't yet living there, we were only driving up to the house to meet him. I asked that he call us if he couldn't make it and he said he would. He never showed up or called. When I called him, he said he had sent an email earlier in the day. We eventually got an email from him. He also sent me a text message wanting to set up a new date and time. We responded to him via email giving him a few choices when we could be up there. To this date, he has never responded to that email and we have had no other communication with him. We have since gotten other proposals and we will use a different pool contractor. I am not sure why we got no response when we were prepared to do $100,000 worth of work with him. We were not planning on soliciting other proposals at the time we called Clint.

Clint sent a text 1 hour before scheduled appointment time to cancel. rescheduled for the following Monday. Never showed. Tried calling and and quot;voice mail was fulland quot;

I would highly recommend Cobalt Custom Pools in the future.

Clint Pressler is a very good and very knowledgable pool builder. He knows how to fix any problem or issue with pools, patios, mosquito systems, and almost any other general light maintenance. We have known him for four years and he built our pool and our outdoor living area with built in grills and the works. He is a super-star and I highly recommend him.

It went pretty well. We were set back a couple of times due to the weather, but that was out of anyone's control. The various crews that were there throughout the project were nice and courteous while being very hard working. Clint was good about telling us what was happening and what was going to happen. He also helped us with some of the 'looks' that we should consider and brought many samples of tiles and finishes until we found what we wanted.
