Big Chucks Sprinkler Systems

The guys knocked out everything in one weekend which was impressive because I asked them to level the entire yard on top of installing the sprinkler system. Chuck always answers (or returns calls quickly) and is always willing to swing by if something isn't right.

He installed a new sprinkler system, I paid him an extra $100 to install a new water meter, meter was not installed - never saw him again. Never returns calls or texts. Do not use. I just hope I don't have any issues with my sprinkler system, as his two year guarantee is worthless. I spent time going over with him how I would like the zones set up, and it was not set up the way I requested. The side yard floods, so I have had to turn those sprinkler heads off. Also the mosquito system lid does not fit - wish I had never done business with him.

It was okay. It's been fine, so good. There is nothing major. He just had to connect in some pipes in a container that holds the hose with fertilizer on it to our already existing sprinkler system and it works fine. He did the job a couple of years ago and then periodically, when we run out of fertilizer, we just phone him up and he'll deliver some for us. The price was on par with everybody else. He came when he said he was going to. He was very informal.

On the day of installation he was on-time and the crew worked hard. We had the walk-thru, there were a few adjustments to the sprinkler heads and he had not added a new zone, instead he tapped in to an existing zone, which basically left us with little to no water pressure in that zone. We pointed it out, he sent his crew to fix it. Instead it was worse and has left us with a leak in the entire zone and we are left with a sprinkler system that can't be used. If we turn it on, our backyard is a pond. We are pretty patient, don't like being rude to contractors, but I have left 3 messages, 3 text messages AND an email on his website and not a peep back in one week.. Really nice guy but would not count on anything more than a very basic problem...he was over his head and left us "high and dry, and very wet ?" Sorry Chuck, you were super nice, but our job should have been finished!

The installation seemed to go well, but they forgot to secure the system to the brick wall so it is loose and wobbles. They also punctured the drain line for the water softener that runs along the driveway so it leaks and erodes the soil along the driveway and sidewalk. I have contacted Chuck Massey several times, and he sent his crew to fix the leak and when I informed him the leak was still not fixed, he promises to return the following day to fix the leak and secure the system to the brick wall. Have contacted many more times since then with no response.....apparently service after the sale doesn't exist. I figured the alleged two year warranty is probably worthless as well, with his non- response to the issues I've mentioned.....I'd steer clear.......

Chuck came out and provided an estimate the same day I called. Crew showed up exactly as scheduled and began work immediately. The crew cleaned up completely when they were finished; I did not find any trash or construction remnants after they left. My yard was left in very good condition, as the crew carefully replaced all sod that had been removed while placing the lines. Chuck was here twice to check on the crew's progress and stayed to show me how to operate the system. They system is easy to use, and I am extremely pleased with the installation and operatoin.

Awesome awesome. This guy was incredible. They did the whole installation in one day. It looked just looked they had never been here.
