It was great! James worked with the insurance company, was here when they inspected the property, and was always available. After the roof install he was still responsive when we discovered a leak in the roof and sent someone over right away to fix it. Followed up a year later to do a free inspection of the roof. I used him again for a second property that we own.

My aluminum-shingled roof was damaged by hail and high winds in 2013, which I was unaware of until started noticing leak stains. James and his crew worked with my insurance company, and in a very timely manner the roof was replaced with steel shingles. They were considerate and efficient, and the new roof is beautiful. I was very pleased with the entire process and am happy to recommend J Duncanson Roofing.

Failed to make appointment - No call, no notice, no show.

He was the first to respond. I felt a kinship with him with his mother living in the house I was raised in. He was good.

Three weeks after finishing the roof we are still trying to get someone to come out and rectify some minor problems in appearance. Everytime they say he will come something happens to his schedule. I would not recommend this company even though their work overall was good and on time.

James provided excellent customer service and offered us numerous roofing options, providing us with addresses of completed work for viewing to help us in our decision making process. He was readily available for consultation when needed. James was professional at all times and his crew was punctual, courteous and cleaned up thoroughly upon completion of the job. James inspected the work and made sure we were pleased with the final results.

They did a great job on my roof and not only does it look great but they did it all in one day before I got home from work even. Awesome job! Will use them next hail storm, which happens often in my area quite often!

They were good at first. We had a misunderstanding at first but then they corrected it. They were friendly people and easy to talk to. The quality was good and price was good, they did change it one time.

James Duncanson was referred to be by a trusted friend and I asked him to come look at our roof the following week. He was personable, professional, and very detailed in his examination. He helped me call in the claim to Allstate and told me in advance what to expect from them. When the appointment was set with the Allstate adjuster, James met him at the house and went up on the roof with him. The adjuster appeared to be reluctant to approve all of the damage until James circled (with chalk) several areas of obvious hail damage on each elevation of the roof and they walked the areas of the roof that were in question again. He also walked the adjuster around the property and convinced him to include two small storage buildings on the property, our log fence, our metal fence and gates, as well as all of the ornamental metals we have hanging on our brick fence in the loss estimate. I was very impressed with how James convinced him to total out the roof and include these extras as I never would have thought about those items and the adjuster never brought them up to me. Having worked in and quot;people businessesand quot; all of my adult life, I was even more impressed with the way James worked with the Allstate representative without annoying or angering him. James was so professional, not to mention respectful, with his requests that the adjuster seemed to have no issues whatsoever with the additional requests. The adjuster was a bit and quot;surlyand quot; when he first got to the house, but seemed to be in good spirits and very friendly when he left, which had to have been because of how James approached him during the appointment. I made the deal with James that day and he ordered the materials and scheduled the crew to do the work. When the materials were delivered, the crew was here to unload and go to work. I was impressed with how efficient they were, as well as their professional approach to the job. They were well organized and everyone seemed to know what their job was. They worked fast and had the job done way ahead of schedule. But it was the little things that impressed me. Every time my wife and kids came in or out of the house, or drove into the driveway, they would stop the work and wait for them to get out of harm's way. The foreman also came and told me each time he needed our dogs brought back into the house so they could move through the rear courtyard. They also removed all the trash and debris from the area, as well as running their nail magnet through the area, before letting us know it was OK to let them back outside. This made us feel that they actually cared about more about doing the job the right way than just getting the job done and getting paid. The foreman also called my wife hours after they left the job and asked if he could stop back by that night because they had forgotten to clean out the enclosed outdoor shower area because the gate was locked. He cam back at almost 8PM and took care of it himself! I also noticed that they actually stopped one of my neighbors from driving through the alley until they had run that magnet over the concrete as they did not want her to get a flat tire. This impressed her husband so much that he called to tell me to thank them! As a matter of fact, this neighbor ended up calling James to look at his roof too. He had been turned down by their adjuster and did not think he could file another claim. James worked with his adjuster as well and was able to get his roof totaled out too. James did his roof after he finished mine and my neighbor was every bit as impressed as I was! I think my neighbor and I have referred James to over twenty houses in our area now, including a metal roof two houses down and a tile roof across the street, and I know that at least six of them have been completed in the last month. I mentioned to James that he should keep the crew that did our house on speed dial, because they were so good, but he told me that the crew was one of 11 that only worked for his company and that they had all been trained to act that way. Pretty impressive! James made our little construction project as painless as possible for my family and, after suffering through home construction projects at the same address for 23 years now, I really appreciated that fact. The bottom line for me is that I would refer James and Jduncanson Roofing to anyone who needs a quality roofing company. They were fast, efficient, professional, and were actually less money than the other roofers we had contacted.

He was charming. He was a good guy. He came and went over the roof with the insurance suggester. I didn't get an estimate from him. He was a very nice guy and he gets to suggest. Everything was good. The only complain I have with James is that he didn't give me an estimate. I would use him in the future.
