Description of Work: In my opionion, Trapper John is a salesman trying to get the most money he can out of you. As soon as we called he was on our doorstep with a quote of > $7000 to fix our "rodent infestation" and to warn us that we could get sick by breathing the airborne rodent droppings and that we should probably turn off our AC. Scared my wife to death (he seemed to play on her worst fears) so she insisted that we had to get it fixed "right now" I wanted more quotes but she was so upset she took my daughter and went to a hotel. The rodent control work was done by Critter Control (another story) but Trapper John was the one that drew the conclusions and drew up the contract. I had the City of Richardson send someone out (after we had signed the contract) and they said they saw tracks but didn't see any signs of an infestation. They thought they could solve the probem with traps for about $400 and that there was no problem breathing the air. Trapper John said he had to file with the CDC which I found out later isn't true. I personally only saw 4 trapped rats over the 6 week period it took to get rid of them and I was checking daily.

It went very well.
Description of Work: Tom came out to my four-plex. There was a smell that I thought was a dead animal. Tenant was unhappy so I wanted to solve it if I could. Tom checked the apartment thoroughly and then went up in the attic. He was up there 20 minutes. He looked for light in the roof and between the walls for any sign of animals. He determined than a small animal or bird had got into an opening and fell into the wall and died. He said the smell would go away very quickly and to use deoderizer until then. He showed me where it had gotten in. We followed his recommendations and the smell did go away. I had the opening closed and no problems since. Tenant was happy and just as happy with Tom as I was. When I called Tom on Sunday afternoon, he said he could come that day. Pretty amazing service. I have 14 rental units and deal with a lot of repairmen. Tom is a very interesting likeable guy with a lot of integrity. He didn't want to charge anything since he couldn't help me but I insisted on paying him a trip charge. He was there over an hour.
