Description of Work: I had approximately 1000 sq ft of solid oak installed. They cut some corners in the install like not removing the fridge to the garage. I should have insisted. There is a color change line under the edge of the fridge as a result. I caught one of the guys digging through my kitchen drawers, and the painter they hired used non paintable silicone caulk along the tops of the baseboards along with refusing to use primer on the bare pine baseboards. I heard the line "oh yeah, we'll fix it" but in the end we came to an agreement rather than them fixing things not done properly. The floors are beautiful, and the flaws minor but when I am shelling out that much cash, I expect things to be done the right way.

My husband and I recently closed on a home and decided to redo the floors prior to moving in. We did some online research and noticed that Texas Hardwood Flooring received positive reviews from prior customers. Bryan served as our primary contact for this project. He met us at the empty house to provide an estimate, discuss our flooring options, recommend a vendor for the actual wood, and determine a timeline for completion that worked around our painting contractors and their schedule. The price point was competitive with other contractors. Ultimately, we trusted Bryan the most and believed his company would do a great job. We were correct. The project started on time, and the crew worked diligently to complete all work within the estimated time frame. They demolished the old floors, leveled the floor using concrete, and installed the new hardwoods. Bryan was generally available via phone or text message to answer all of our questions. The floors look beautiful. They also installed new baseboards along with the hardwoods. Minor touch ups were scheduled and completed promptly. My husband has one criticism about a squeaking sound we now have near the middle of the stairs, but I do not mind it--I think the squeak gives the stairs a bit more character. We will likely rehire Texas Hardwood Flooring if/when we decide to update the flooring in our bedrooms.
Description of Work: Installed approximately 1000 square feet of engineered hardwoods (Shaw Engineered White Oak - Ivy League) in our downstairs common areas, stairwell, and upstairs hallway.

Overall the experience was good. I made things fairly complicated having a death in the family shortly after contacting them. I also went from an oak based product to Patagonian Rosewood midstream. They were very accommodating to my various calamities including a roof replacement related fireplace leak one day before a scheduled install. We started talking in July but did not actually get my floors down (90% my delays) until 12/8/2015. The install itself had its moments but it got done and it was done right. The workmanship and attention to detail were outstanding.
Description of Work: Provided materials and installed engineered flooring in my house, grade and above grade .

Description of Work: Bryan with Texas Hardwood Flooring was excellent to do business with. He was honest and upfront with what we could and could not do installing our new hardwood floors. The floors look fantastic and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. It feels like we just moved into a new house. I would highly recommend Texas Hardwood Flooring to anyone who wants AAA quality hardwood floors.
