Great service! Very professional. Did exactly what I asked them to do for a GREAT price. Not so much as a stick on the ground after they left. Could not be happier.

Everything went well, very quick turnaround and the yard looks great. I was told it might take 3 hours, but it only took 1.

I have definitely found the right company for all of my tree service needs! Sal was recommended by my current lawn service company and when contacted, he came right out and provided a very fair quote for quite a bit of tree work around my property. Scheduling an appointment for the work to be completed was simple and the crew did an amazing job - VERY thorough work and a fantastic job cleaning up. The crew did not leave until they knew I was completely satisfied with the work! The price was very reasonable for all of the work they did (7 hours with a crew of 3 - worked hard the entire time) and payment through their office was a breeze. Thank you to the entire team from Sal's Landscape & Tree Service - I greatly appreciate the great work and courteous service!!

This man and his crew are incompetent. They did as asked in cutting down the dying Elm tree to prevent it from falling and taking out several smaller trees. However there were 2 problems with the work. First, I called Sal 3 weeks before the service was performed and told him to do it when he was available but I didn't hear anything from the guy for weeks as to when he might be out to do the work then while I am out of town for Thanksgiving I get a call on that Saturday that he is at my house and ready to do the work. No warning at all. I was very reluctant to let him proceed since I couldn't be there to make sure it went OK but he said he was clear on what I wanted and could easily do the work that day and wasn't sure when he could come back. When I got home from my trip I saw that the tree felling was done correctly and the stumps were left behind as instructed for me to make firewood. Then we realized the second problem. The second problem is that I had also asked sal to clean up a very large and old Post Oak tree in our backyard. By clean up I mean remove only the obviously dead branches in the tree. Instead of removing some branches that none were larger than 4 inches in diameter, he decided to chop off a large branch that was roughly 16 inches in diameter that grew perpendicular to the ground and shaded a very large area of our backyard. The tree it self is over 100 years old and that growth will not be back in my lifetime or my son's. My wife and I were overwhelmed by what we saw when we viewed the damage these morons had inflicted. I called Sal immediately that day and left him several other messages as well but I never received a return phone call. I never received a bill which I would not have paid because the damage he did far out weighed the cost of the work performed. I never thought to review this jerk on Angie's list until now. I got an add from Angie's list from another tree service company and it reminded me of this incident and I decided to see if this horrible company was on Angie's list at all They have a B rating which in my opinion is ridiculously generous. If you value your landscaping and especially your trees I suggest you look for someone that actually will do what you ask and in a timely manner. These butchers will ruin your property. Our back yard was like a green cathedral and now it has a gaping hole that may never fill in.

The service was rescheduled due to rain so I was not able to observe the process. JR called and assured me that I could expect an excellent job. Upon review the following day his assurances were validated. The job was excellent and cleanup was complete. JR and other staff were polite and professional. I plan to use their services again in the future.

Unbelievable! 5 guys and stump machine was three feet wide. NO DAMAGE to fence. Had to repair a few pulled wires on low voltage deck lighting near tree on top of fence. Used 10% discount from Angie's list which covered the $7 cost of your group even though I was skeptical that I would ever use your list.

Sal came by personally to go over all the details with me and to schedule a date for his crew. His crew was efficient and prompt. No problems or complaints. Will hire again.

This is our second time using Sal's tree service and we were just as pleased with their work this time around! The crew works very hard, very clean and very fast--we were amazed at how much work was done in the amount of time they were here. They went above and beyond our expectations, even returning on their own time to cut up one very large, fallen tree, about which there had been some miscommunication (largely our fault!) Sal is very professional and punctual and we can't recommend him highly enough!!

The work was very well done, and sooner than originally scheduled. The French drain is very substantial-- several catch-basins, gravel where necessary, and the whole flow was carried under the sidewalk and to the street. The crew cleaned up every twig, every clump of mud--everything was neat before they left. They were good people, well managed by Jared. We will definitely call them for future work.

Punctual, did the work in a short amount of time, and actually cleaned up the yard much better than expected.

It went very well. All done in two days. Love the results.

Sal had his employee come to give me an estimate for tree trimming. He arrived on time and was very professional and had helpful advice. He quoted a very reasonable price for the work. Later met with Sal to discuss additional landscape needs and I was impressed with his knowledge and advice.

On 4/6/15 Jared came by to give an estimate, I had already received other bids and he was not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive bid. I informed him that we were having our Landscapers completely till the yard before they installed the sprinklers then after they were going to put in sod for us. So I had to have a few days to get that arranged and he said it would be 2-3 weeks before it was done. I called the office to see if we were on the schedule and they still did not have us scheduled. I made arrangements to take care of my daughter after her surgery and on April 21, 2015, I received a call from Jared and he informed me they had a cancellation and could do the sprinklers that day. I told him it needed to be tilled first and he said they would till the yard so I told him OK then I received a phone call from my husband saying they were there and installing the sprinklers without tilling. I immediately came home and asked about the tilling and Jose said they do not do the tilling. First lie. After Jose spoke with our landscaper they got the OK to go ahead. They finished the next day and Jose went through the instructions clicking buttons and asking me when I wanted the sprinklers timed so I really didn't get to see what he was doing. On May 1, 2015 our landscapers came and tilled and put in the sod and we tried to see if the sprinklers were working properly. They were not. After speaking with Jose, Jared and Sal, I got nowhere. The sod we had put in has dried up because the first few days it didn't rain and I couldn't get anyone to come out, but after a week we were bombarded with rain. On 5/4/15 Jose did come out and indeed the sprinklers were not working. Long story...would nor recommend or use them again. 6/15/15 We still have not heard from Sals and need to have sod rep;aced. will be contacting Angie's list and the BBB.

I told Sal I was flexible and said come out within the next couple of weeks when he would be in the neighborhood, just let me know in advance. I was trying to help him save a few bucks. Sal decided to come out on a rainy Saturday while I was out of town with no notice. He called me when he was at the house and asked if he could do the work. I had been waiting for several weeks and had even called him before I left town to see when he was planning on coming. I agreed to let him cut down the tree and to cut only the obviously dead branches off of the large Post Oak tree that shaded half of my backyard. The tree removal went fine, but for some reason that I have yet to have explained to me, his crew removed a branch from the Post Oak that was still very much alive. The branch where he cut was over a foot in diameter. This removed roughly a third of the tree and has probably shortened the life span of this once beautiful and very valuable tree. The branch had a couple of small limbs that were dead that needed removing but they were less than 4 inches in diameter and it was obvious to me they were all that needed removal. Needless to say, my wife and I were shocked and sickened by what we discovered when we arrived home. The removal of the dying Elm tree had left a huge gap in the tree cover of our back yard and the removal of the branch from the Post Oak had made it a much larger gap as well as butchered and beautiful tree that is well over 100 years old. We are to this day sickened by the stupidity and incompetence of Sal and his crew. I called Sal immediately and left him two voicemails to discuss the situation, he never returned my calls. He also never sent me an invoice for any of the work. I had agreed to pay him $500 for the Elm tree and whatever the cost for the cleaning up of the Post Oak (Sal had estimated $150-200). If I had received a bill I would have sued Sal for the cost of the tree he destroyed so he avoided that but i would have preferred to taken him to court. If you're looking for a tree service or landscape company i suggest you find someone that is good at it because Sal Ruiz's company is incompetent and not afraid to blow you off if there's a problem.

The work was performed in a timely manner and the price was less than comparable quotes that I received. They were able to perform the service weeks before others and the work that was quoted was performed as promised.

They are always meticulous, consistent, and their crews are hard-working.

I wish I could have been there, one of the bushes was a bit uneven after I mentioned to flatten it out. Everything else looked good. I would use Sal's again but would want to monitor the work.

The crews from Sal's always provide excellent service. They do a great job of keeping the yard looking good. They have always been prompt, friendly, and professional.

Work was fine. Cleaning up the oak tree was great. They cut it back from the roof so that critters could not jump around and that was great. The shrubs all were updated as several had died. Added Azelas and they look great. I recommended to another neighbor to have them come update their tree and they were happy with the work completed. So they are now doing other work in our neighborhood.

It was not very long that they came out after we asked for an estimate and there was no cost for the estimate. We did not use the service because we are undecided. They were all prompt and very professional. I did not see anything bad about it. They knew what they were doing and they gave us a fair price. They had a very competitive price.

Job was started when scheduled and completed same day. Everything was cleared and removed from yard as agreed. Stumps and roots were ground so area could be tilled.

I worked with Jared and it was a great experience. He quoted us a lower price than a couple others, and the quality of the work was very good. I will use this company again.

They do a good job. They are on schedule. Their punctuality and quality of the work are the ones that stand out.

Their bid was less than a couple others we received. Did a fine job.
