At Reliant Air Conditioning we are committed to providing great heating and air conditioning services, informing our customers on better ways to lower their energy bill, and giving our customers healthy homes with quality HVAC repair and sales. We are committed to the quality of service of your HVAC system, which is why we require our repair technicians to be NATE certified to repair your heating and conditioning system. Because of our superior air conditioning service, we maintain an “A+” rating with the Better Business Bureau in both Dallas and Fort Worth. Reliant Air Conditioning provides professional air conditioning and heating repair services along with providing quality energy saving products for customers that need new systems. Located in the center of Dallas Fort Worth, we are able to service customers from all over the metroplex, from Weatherford to Rockwall, McKinney to Mansfield and everywhere in between. We have been servicing this area for the past 20 years and have installed over 30,000 systems and serviced over 50,000 homes. We are well prepared to handle any air conditioning repair DFW has! Description of Work: I got a 20-point tune-up deal through Angie's List. The guy came in and told me that my downstairs unit needed a new part, so I paid for that and he fixed it. Then he told me that my upstairs unit was not working and that we needed a brand new condenser for about $3500. It was just me, my mom, and my newborn baby there, and we don't know anything about air conditioners, so I got my husband on the phone so that he could talk with the technician. The technician just kept telling him that there was no fix and that we had to have a new condenser. We decided to get a second opinion, and it turns out that the condenser was working fine. It was old and not as efficient as a newer model, but it was still working. We felt like the technician was just trying to take advantage of us, probably knowing that two women and a baby didn't know anything about A/C units. It seemed that he clearly lied to us about needing the new condenser just to get more money and business. Thank goodness we got a second opinion. We will never use them again, and will not recommend them to others.

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. Upon reviewing the notes, our technician found the compressor to be weak and showing signs of impending failure. Based on the readings he recorded, best practices recommend to suggest replacement. While the unit could indeed be operating for the time being, in our experience units with these readings tend to fail very soon (we hope not!). A quick note: our technicians don't work on commission, so there is no incentive to do anything other than to recommend and abide by industry standard best practices. We sincerely apologize that you weren't happy with our service. We're more than happy to send another technician, at no charge to you, to confirm this diagnostic.
