Reliant Air Conditioning

Technician was thorough in checking our 15-year old AC system. He cleaned the section containing our indoor air filter as well as the outside unit. He found potential problems with the run capacitor and recommended replacement to prevent problems with the motor and compressor. We authorized replacement of that part. We appreciate that the technician did not automatically push for replacement of our system due to age and felt better after he advised us our system is in good shape, since this is our first full summer in this house.

Reliant arrived right on time and did a great job cleaning and servicing the A/C. The Special that they were running for the A/C tune up was great but the price per pound of freon seemed a little steep. Didn't complain cause the tech did a great job, even better than expected.

A/C unit was in need of attention. Purchased a discounted service agreement thru Angie's List. Provider arrived a little late but went right to work. Technician was knowledgeable and professional. He performed the needed service and pointed out things I could do to help the system perform better for me. I would use Reliant Air Conditioning again.

I do not normally write reviews, but in this case I am making an exception. This new unit is like night and day from the 30 year old mixed sytem I had. It was alot of money, but I feel like I got my money's worth. I have read lots of reviews. All say one thing pretty much. The products are all very close in cost and value. It is the installation that will make all the difference. I do not have alot to compare it to, but this crew did a great job. they had 4 guys here for 12 hours working on this. My front yard was full of old metal and parts. They were very polite and cleaned up after done. I was impressed with the quality of the work, and I do nto impress easily as I am a real do it yourselfer and feel I do most things better then most contractors would. Rich my sales rep was great. No pressure, even thought I had no ac for over a week. Can by when asked. He brought out a person that measured all the returns and recommended the outlets and returns need for the new unit based on my home and needs. One other thing, I think the air purifier might be the reason, but the air inthe house is so fresh, When the air comes on it feels like a little breeze after a rain. I have a roof window in my kitchen. I catch myself looking up to see if it is open. I had this old system sealed, but everytme it came on you could notice the attic smell and feel a little heat.. ALL GONE NOW. I do need to have them come back and rebalance the rooms, but that is a part of the install. I will up date this, if I can after that. I am waiting until it gets hot so i can really get a good idea of the balance needs.

I purchased the $135 full HVAC service agreement for one year deal through Angie's List. Our technician, Fort, was very polite, courteous, professional, on time, and explained everything he did in detail. He wore covered shoes in the house as well. I'm so glad I found Reliant on Angie's List! They are an excellent company with honest and trustworthy employees. He did a great job, and I will make Reliant my regular AC company. Thanks so much! Called to schedule appointment to have AC serviced when I noticed that it was struggling to keep up with 90 degree heat. First available appointment was 4 days later. AC then went out a few days after and was out when the technician arrived. He determined that there was a small leak in the evaporator coil, but that it should be ok for a while and that there were no guarantees on it as the system had a slow leak inside. I accepted this and when he quoted that it would be 60$ a pound for R22 I said that it would be ok. He put 4 lbs of R22 in and cleaned the outside unit and then charged me 75$ per pound for 4 pounds - he didnt volunteer this information either until I noticed that it wasn't $240, but $300... 2 Days later, the AC goes out again, so I had them come out to give me a replacement quote for the inside unit. Quote was reasonable, but a bit overpriced. I figured the system must have had a major leak and as a sanity check, I brought in another company who I had check both the inside unit and outside unit. They checked the inside unit first and found that it really didnt leak very much at all (same story as the Reliant). They then checked the outside unit and found a major leak in the 6 year old compressor requiring a replacement. You could actually hear the hissing sound of it leaking. They were very surprised that the first company hadn't found such a major leak. I had the other company replace my inside and outside units, and will not use or recommend Reliant Air Conditioning.

The technician arrived on time (4 hour window) and checked the unit (inside and outside). He also found a vent that has dislodged from the "distributor" and reconnected it. The unit has a nice health checkup and should keep on working for years to come. The unit is about a few years old, before I purchased the house. I just want to make sure it's running properly. He left his wrench at the house, so if he wants to come back to pick it up, let me know.

Reliant was very helpful with scheduling - had to reschedule once for ourselves and once due to rain. The service man arrived promptly on the day of service and performed a tune up on our two air conditioning units. The serviceman was extremely helpful and provided great service. I would recommend Reliant and plan on using them again in the future.

Reliant technician, Jonathan, arrived at scheduled time and promptly began thoroughly checking interior systems; then completed check on exterior condensers. He provided estimate for recommended air handler float switch to address water overflow problem due to plugged up condensate drain line. I was impressed with this technician and would call on Reliant for future a/c-heat repair and/or service. (Previous service company didn't take air handler covers off upstairs air handler to perform inspection but wanted to charge $1300.00 to rotate air handler for easier access.)

I was scheduled very quickly and a representative showed up on time. He wore covered shoes in the house and after inspecting everything went over the prices for replacement. He was very professional and not pushy in the least. While I went with the warranty company (they also have good reviews here on Angie's List) for the discount therein, I would recommend Reliant.

Excellent service! They were on time and completed the service promptly.

Technician was very polite, explained everything he did in detail, and was most helpful of any problems I was having. He showed me where the condenser is supposed to flow out, not where it WAS flowing out, and he was most helpful in showing me what needed to be replaced/repaired.

Came a little late in the day, but tech was great! Very responsive to questions and courteous. Estimator was punctual and very professional. Also called back to check the status of our decision and to answer any questions.

Purchased the $69 A/C Tune Up advertised on the site. The technician (John) that came out was very nice and professional. I noticed that my A/C was having a little trouble cooling about the same time I purchased the tune up. John found that I had a leak in the coil and added four pounds of Freon.

My husband and I can't say enough good things about Reliant's representatives and the work which they completed. Their representative, Brent, came to our home to look at the two units which we were considering replacing. He explained the different Carrier units which we could chose from in a very informative and knowledgeable manner. He also outlined how well their technicians were trained. We were impressed with his presentation and had confidence that Reliant would be able to complete this job well. We decided to have two Infinity 17 seer systems installed and we love them. We didn't realize that our two story home could ever be this comfortable and cool throughout the day and evening. The technicians arrived on time and worked efficiently and professionally throughout the day; Pedro, Efrain, Raul and Dennis completed a wonderful installation and were extremely polite and knowledgable. This was a big job, so we had 5 companies out to give estimates. Mike came out and we were impressed by the fact that he proposed solutions to address our problems (allergies, 1 room hotter than others). He took time to answer our questions and was very helpful with some follow-up questions by email. He also gave us a complete written estimate stating exactly what they would be doing and the exact equipment models (with 3 different options). By contrast, one of the other big-name providers in the area came by for about 10 minutes and wrote 3 prices and corresponding SEER ratings on a piece of paper with no additional information. We are happy with the system & are still looking forward to seeing a difference with our 1st utility bill. The job itself did not go as smoothly as we hoped. The crew swapped our primary & secondary drain lines, a new employee nearly stepped through the ceiling & caused some minor damage, & they brought a different thermostat than the one promised. However, in each case we felt that Reliant made a good-faith effort to resolve the issue. To Mike's credit, he continued responding to my emails and calls (usually promptly) even after we had paid. A technician came out late Friday night to rework the drain lines. They sent a drywall person out that repaired the ceiling. And Mike gave us a free Thermostat upgrade due to the thermostat issue. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and professional, from Mike to Raul (the job foreman) to Matt (who came out to rewire our thermostat). With a company that big, there is sure to be some training & experience difference which is what I think we ran into. But overall, we are very happy with the system and would use Reliant in the future.

I'm very happy and will use this provider again. He was professional, kind, thorough, and skilled. I'm confident my system will run well in the coming HOT months.

Our A/C units had started to act sluggishly so we purchased 2 deals on 5/31/14 to have them cleaned and tuned-up and to see if there were any issues. We called right after buying the deals and scheduled services for 6/11/14 because they were so busy and it was not yet an emergency. On 06/07/14, it got much worse and we called again to see if we could be considered an emergency and moved ahead in the schedule. (We have four children, the youngest is 14 months old and it was nearly 85 degrees in the house.) They said that there were still other cases before us and would still only be able to come out on Wednesday but would call us if anyone cancelled. I called another company and was able to have someone out the next day (6/8/14) at noon. Everyone I spoke to at Reliant was very nice but they must have a very busy schedule. You may end up waiting a long time for service. Keep this in mind if what work you need done is needed soon. They must book up very quickly and cannot get anyone in sooner than a week and a half.

They were professional and courteous. They explained everything and fixed a couple of problems that I knew about. I was happy that they did not try and up-sell me on new A/C units. I will definitely use them in the future.

Reliant Air Conditioning presented a competitive and reasonable bid. It was within 2 or 3 hundred dollars of the bid that we took. All of the equipment and labor war very comparable. The salesman was very professional. I would recommend this company for anyone's consideration.

They came out to do the tune up and repaired one part and had to order drain pan while waiting on that part, I spoke with the Sales department decided to replace the entire unit. Now I am receiving a bill for the drain pan that was not installed due to receiving new unit.

Great, they came early and they were really prompt on their time, I'm surprised with that, very professional.

Most of the job went extremely well. There is an additional part that remains unfinished, but it turns out they need an electrician for that aspect, and will resume once completed.

I purchased a tune up package for the year with this company. They did a excellent job and even performed a couple of services for no extra charge that weren't normally included with the tune up I had purchased .

The install was prompt, professional and quick. I have been very pleased with the service. They have had to come out several times to adjust the air flow and add vents to make the system performed as expected.
