They did a great job. They visited my house twice, once in the summer, and another during the winter. Both individuals were very professional, answered all my questions, and pointed out issues that needed to be addressed without trying to up-sell any services. I have been very happy with their service, and definitely would use them in the future.

The guy came out and some of the things we were concerned about, he assured us it wasn’t a problem. He had an opportunity to charge us a lot more for problems, but he was very professional and told that was not indeed a problem.

We are relatively new to Angie?s List. Before joining our experience has been this: Over the years anytime some major appliance would break down we would have to approach the situation with great trepidation. Each company we contacted, each individual repairperson we spoke with, we had to wonder what could go wrong, would we be over charged, would the workpeople sent out be competent. Often, even after talking with several companies we did not feel at ease about going into the job, didn?t know who to choose. So when the heat went out during the holidays we became worried. There are two 90 year olds in our households and the heat just cannot be out in the winter even for one day. There are two units and they are old. We knew we would have to replace them and getting several estimates. This was going to be a huge job and purchase for them to make at their age. It was a day before New Years Eve. My mom started the process nervously asking, ?Well, do we know anyone who would know of a good heating company?? I looked at her smiled, ?Mom, we have Angies List now!? I got on the website and picked three of Angie?s A rated companies, called them and in minutes we had three companies coming out the before and even on New Years Eve to give us estimates. Each company took amazing care preparing the estimate, thoroughly evaluating every aspect of the potential job, teaching us along the way, and each person from the office rep, the sales rep, the technician/s so polite and accommodating. They did not get all those A?s at Angies by behaving any other way. So now we have all our estimates. We are making our decision tonight and we are in an altogether different kind of dilemma than we have had with past repair experiences. We don?t know who to choose from the three companies because they are all so excellent, they each did everything right and we don?t know who to choose between them. Thank you Angies for making these decisions harder for the best of reasons and for connecting us with such wonderful people, who care about the quality of their work and the jobs they perform.

Reliant was our home's builder's contractor, and we have always used them for HVAC needs. They have consistently been professional and given us great service and prices. They have never upsold us or tried to replace more than was necessary, have always given us options for repairs. So when we needed to replace our units, we called Reliant. They gave us a great deal, helped us reconfigure the balancing on the air ducts, and completed the job in one day. We are very pleased with Reliant and will continue to be our HVAC contractor.

We were using contractors from our home warranty company to deal with ongoing issues with leaky coils in our a/c. The coil had to be replaced twice in a year and the contractors were lousy. So we cancelled our home warranty and talked with three HVAC companies. Reliant was best in terms of price, customer service and professionalism. They were able to replace the coil just before the warranty ran out in 2013. In September of 2014 we discovered that the third coil installed by Reliant had started to leak and to make matters worse it was no longer under warranty. I reached out to Terry Neden at Reliant and explained to him the history of the problem. He looked at all of the details and agreed that replacing the coil so often was indeed unusual. He discussed this with the a/c manufacturer and was able to convince them to replace the coil even though the warranty had expired. Mr. Neden even made sure that these things were taken care of at no extra charge to us. I became a Reliant customer in the Spring of 2013 because of their customer service and professionalism but I will stay a Reliant customer because of the individual care that is represented at the company by people like Terry Neden. Reliant goes to bat for their customers and as long as they continue to do so they will be a great company!

Let's just say it took over 5 days to get my system up and running. My expectation would be that knowledgeable repairmen be dispatched but out of 4 people that visited my house only 2 knew what they were doing with my system. The first day they convinced me to put in a UV light in my attic unit and from that point on it was down hill with a system that was working prior to the UV installation. The system would come on but the blower would not work and blow hot air into the house. They said it was the blower motor, ordered one and then installed a motor with the wrong voltage and when it made an awful sound they said they did no harm. They then told me that it looked like a shaft was bent as well, and that it probably happened another time. Bottom line is it took 5 days to get me up and running and $700 later. Turns out it was a wiring issue causing the blower not to work and I would like to know how a unit running prior to their arrival got wiring problems after the only people that touched the unit was their techs? I have one PM call left on the contract but hesitate to let them near it. Update - 12/12/2014 I was contacted by David from Reliant management. After discussing my concerns about the service I received we came to an agreement and I have revised my marks based on the actions he demonstrated regarding their responsiveness and concern for their customers. I plan on using them for my Spring PM to allow them another opportunity to prove their commitment to quality and customer service.

I have used the company twice so far. The same guy has come out both times. He was very professional and punctual. He is conscientious of my home and makes sure to be very clean in his work. They will not push services on you and will keep you well informed on what you can do for your units. He made sure to call 20 minutes before coming out and scheduling is easy.

The technician found a potential issue that was not an emergency and he explained the risk and benefit of waiting which I really appreciated the low pressure and honesty he had to explain the issues.

My a/c started blowing warm air. Finally had to shut it off completely and called Reliant based on the reviews. The person who came out rinsed off the a/c outside unit. Went into the attic, but don't know what, if anything, was done. He said the a/c was fixed, and even though I kept saying that the temperature wasn't going down in the 1/2 hour he was there, he maintained that he could feel cooler air. He said since the air had been off the day before, it might take a couple of hours to cool down, but even though the unit ran through the night, it never got cooler. 24 hours later I called Allied American. They found several problems, including the fact that the unit had been wired incorrectly at installation 9 years prior. It's odd that none of the vendors I used for maintenance in that time never mentioned any problems. Allied told me what the problems were and ordered 2 parts and got everything working perfectly. No one tried to sell me a new unit; in fact, I was told that my inside unit should last another 10 years. My bills are now lower than they have been at any time in the past. I gave "b" rating on responsiveness only because the company sent someone within hours of the call. The overall "c" rating is due to the fact the vendor kept insisting that the unit was working properly even though I kept saying there was no cold air. I wouldn't normally initiate a poor review, but since Angie's List pursued me on it, I responded.

They are very professional. No doubt about that. They are not trying to play or jug around with you. They only talk to you if they have to and they are very thorough.

I bought one of the Reliant Hero Service Plans. They came out to for Fall service on 2 systems. On time, changed filters and gave me a big ole thumbs up. A little cleaning and my systems are good as new. I like this company because they don't try to sell you something you don't need. James was our service tech and he was GREAT!

The technician tried to sell us on a complete system replacement which we ended up getting from another company for $4,000 less than we were roughly quoted. We were told that we would have to be contacted by a comfort specialist to get an actual price and details. The company that ended up replacing it did so the very next day and made our family a priority since it was extremely hot and we have a toddler.

When the upstairs AC unit in our house stopped working I called a few HVAC repair places to see who could get here the soonest. Reliant was able to get here the next day where others were 2+ days out so they got the initial business (ie. to diagnose the problem). When it became clear that my 25-year-old AC was done, I asked them for an estimate on replacement. They sent a fellow out to do the estimate. Prompt to arrive and clear in his explanations, he gave me a replacement cost of around $7k, and this would include the additional air-duct work I requested because I knew that the system needed more air intake than what was currently in place. I had never replaced an AC unit before and so the cost was a bit of a shock. To make sure I was getting a reasonable deal I called around to several places (about 8 of them) checking prices. Every other place that I called quoted a higher price and most of them using less reputable brands of equipment. The prices for and equivalent system from the other places ranged from $7.5k to $11k. So I signed up to have Reliant install the new system (AC condenser, furnace, et al). They install team arrived on the day they said, at the time they said they would. They got to work and replaced the system that day. At the end of the day, I inspected the work and noticed a small leak they had created but hadn't fixed. When I pointed it out they fixed it within minutes. Overall I'm very pleased with this service firm. I have another HVAC unit in my house (the house has one for upstairs and one for downstairs). The downstairs is old like the one I just replaced. When it finally goes and needs t one replaced, I'll definitely call Reliant again.

It went fine except when the tech was here changing the filters he ignored one latch and pulled it off. Otherwise, all was fine.

Did a great job inspecting all the components of the a/c system and did indicate a kinked drain pipe that could cause drainage problems. Saved me a bunch of money by pointing that out.

What I really liked about them was that did it come out right away and gave me a quote. I really liked the two young men they sent out to do the work. They found some other issues once they got into the work that was not originally quoted and the company handled it very well. They gave me quite a break on it since they felt like it would’ve been their responsibility to report that during the quoting process. It was very well done. They cleaned up everything and when they showed up, they showed up to go to work and they worked all day. They didn’t even want to take a lunch break and I insisted that they do. The price was expensive however, they did a good job so I'm not quite complaining. The quality was excellent. There were some providers that I contacted and I gave them the information and they wouldn't even give me a quote and that was a little bit disconcerting in the middle of summer with no air conditioning.

I contacted them after finding the company on Angie’s List. They were punctual to the appointment and there were no troubles. They cleaned up the unit and added some refrigerant. They did a good job and I would hire them again.

To be more specific, I wanted someone to come by and just check up on our AC units in general. I also had a few questions here and there about some stuff around our newly bought home. Both times, Gustavo came within the time he was suppose to. He was very nice and easy to talk to. Along with all the other little things I had questions on, I wanted to show him an addition we made to the house that had a new AC vent put into it. Of course I had a feeling it was done wrong because I could tell it was not cooling very well. In fact, the cooling to 3 other rooms was worse off as well. Gustavo checked the contractors work and found that they had done the venting all wrong. They had put in a new line off a secondary line instead of the main line. Without telling him anything about the other rooms not cooling off well, he brought it up to me. Right then I knew that this guy really knew what he was talking about. He fixed the problem and everything went really smooth. All rooms now are cooling very well. He also gave me some great info about a possible future units that I could be interested in. I know that it is very hard to find a good AC company but I think I have found one that I will be using for a long time. Thank you Reliant

They did a great job and they are very friendly. It was quick, easy and very convenient to have been done before we moved out. I chose them because they had great reviews and the price. They got a hold of me and were here the next day. They were amazing. They gave me ideas of what I needed to do to make sure that I was up scale for the inspectors.

They were prompt, very courteous and professional. My wife and I got the sense that they were honest, reliable, and trustworthy. They gave us their complete assessment along with prices for things that needed to be attended to. We will definitely use them in the future for all of our air-conditioning services.

I bought the servicing package for routine maintenance of the system. I had not had the system cleaned/checked in over two years and it was having a hard time maintaining the temp in the August heat. Due to my system being frozen up (old system was running non-stop to try and keep the house cool), the first technician could not perform all of the necessary work/checks so we had to shut down the unit for a day to let it defrost. Both of the technicians that we dealt with were very helpful, informative, and professional. Seemed like they did a thorough job in checking/cleaning the system and were able to clear a clogged drainage line. System is running great and I will continue to use this group.
