Mister Sparky (DFW)

Mr. Sparky responded quickly to my HomeAdvisor request. The service tech (Daniel) was very professional, knowledgeable. He quickly determined the issue with the wiring to my pool pump timer box. (It had fallen off the wall, and that cut one of the wires.) My only issue really is the pricing. I was charged $770 something for diagnostic, removing some conduit, adding a junction box and re-doing the wiring to the box. Overall, it was probably 2.5 solid hours, not counting the run to get new conduit from HomeDepot. I would've felt more comfortable with $400-500. But the work was completed, and well done for future maintenance.

Obviously a very customer-centric culture. They were on time and contacted me, as they said they would, 30 minutes out from arriving. They also provide an Uber-like tracking system so you can follow the service person's truck.

Glenn, the repairman, was friendly, efficient and mindful of his "footprint" in the home (i.e., he took precautions to ensure he didn't leave a mess behind). I can't recall her name, but the woman whom I spoke with to schedule the appointment was exceedingly friendly and upfront about come-out costs, etc. I would highly recommend Mister Sparky to anyone needing help with ceiling-fan issues.

Punctual appointment, with prior time of arrival notice. Professionally mannered electrical technician who explained the repair/installation/ cost estimates and approximate time required.

Terribly overpriced electrician service. You are on the hook for a minimum of $49 before even getting an estimate, this money is not adjusted even if you have them perform the overpriced service. I was charged $109 plus the $49 bucks for installing a light fixture and for replacing a few wall switches I was quoted $127 per switch. Unbelievable rates, got all 5 switches installed for $180 from another company. I would not recommend this service to anyone, and do shop around before you decide.

We did not hire them (too expensive for what we needed done), but we did meet with a technician, Glenn, who was very kind.

Loy was friendly and knowledgeable. Would use him again.
