I didn’t go through Angi’s and boy do I wish I did. I hired Guillermo Iglesias for a few jobs and the first thing he said when he walked in was, “I forgot to tell you, but I’m going to need some of the money upfront to start the work”. He said it so kindly, in a way that you felt like you can trust him. I genuinely thought this person was a good guy. He told me that my projects would be complete within four days, and on the fourth day he never showed up and the projects weren’t even close to being completed. I reached out to him on the fourth and fifth day and by the sixth day I was upset bc I felt taken advantage of. That’s when I saw the real Guillermo, I questioned the quality of his work, because I was not satisfied and asked if he was coming back to fix what he started. He immediately got defensive but said he would come back to fix what I was unhappy with. He never showed up, and when I asked him for a partial refund, he stopped responding. I definitely feel taken advantage of and wish I did more research before hiring him.

Guillermo did a good job with the paint. He also put up wooden beams over our window 3 months ago after the painting and within 3 months they were falling off. I reached out to him and asked him how he put it up, willing to fix it myself, and he said that he would just come and fix it the next day. I thought that was so nice and great. Two weeks have passed since that interaction and he has yet to come, however he tells me every day that he is coming, therefore I wait on him, and he doesn't show. The lack of honesty and integrity is rude and concerning. Especially because my original question was how to fix it myself. I have asked countless times since the first time that he can just tell me how to fix it and he ignores me. I called him out on it and have been ignored ever since. What is awful is that I have referred him to 2 other clients yet he can't answer simple questions or just be honest with his answers (like he's too busy and it'll be a few days before making it out). I had a list of projects I was planning to use him for too, but not now. I would not recommend hiring him and would never hire him for another project again.

BUYER BEWARE! I hired this guy to remodel my new place. Gave me a 15k estimate to which I agreed. 5k up front, 5k in the middle, and 5k at the end. We had friends in common, that's how I came upon him, and because of that, I (stupidly) trusted him. I gave him the 5k up front, and another 5k prematurely, this guy takes off to Vegas and blows all the money! Meanwhile, he lies about where he is to me, but he forgets we have mutual friends and I know exactly what's going on! It gets better....while he's in Vegas, he sends me a message to send him more money to "pay his guys" lol!! Of course I declined, at this point he's been working on the remodel for a month and a half. Anyways, he got away with 13,000 (materials cost which he tried to sneak in tools for me to pay for) of my money and did NOT COMPLETE ANYTHING. I feel violated. Please don't hire this guy. He's a con artist with obvious money problems, and other issues.

He is very prompt to show up for a estimate and to finish the job to get paid. They replace the wood around my chimney and when putting up the new wood did a super rush job as they were trying to finish in one day so that they didnt have to come back. they did not properly screw in the wood (4) total screws on the the chimney and it blew off roughly 1 month later. When contacting him he said he would come out and take care of it next week 6/10-6/14/2019. no show and no call or text so i reached out again and the tone started to change when holding him responsible but he agreed to come out on 6/20. 2pm rolls around no call no show so i texted as i was taking the day off to ensure completion. He was very condescending and said he will be there when hes done with the job. Guess what? no call no show again so i message him today 6/21 he is now refusing to inspect and stand by him work. I should of never hired them and wouldn't recommend them to my enemy.
