Perfect service..excellent salesperson, efficient installers.

My friend recently purchased a home and as a a gift, i bought him an A/C tune up. The price was great, and the service seemed like a good buy. Be careful what you pay for! The company was a no call no show on sautrday (07/28/12.) I am awaitng a call from them now to reschedule so that i can ask for a full refund.

Was told originally 10 ten days to install. First lie. They could not get the door hardware in for the original so I had to select different hardware. Second lie. They lost the original 9 foot width patio door after it was delivered to the local store How do you lose a 9 foot door? Took two months before my 9 foot was installed. Ten days went to almost eight weeks. I could have got my original door hardware I wanted. Really messed up my vacation schedule. Install crew was very professional. No compensation offered for my misery. I paid cash I expected to be compensated in cash! Gift cards don't cut it. I don't business with them anymore. I take my business elsewhere.

The estimate was smooth, and accurate. The workmanship was on time and the quality was very, very good to excellent. The complete the entire job (40 plus windows) in one day. All of the window fit as designed. With the only exception being two windows failed to get ordered. They ordered and installed both of those windows a couple of weeks later.

Price and quality of job were very good (and I shopped around). Still trying to obtain final warranty information and they are unresponsive (which provides me pause with regard to how they would honor the lifetime warranty); but I can probably obtain the warranty information from the manufacturer of the siding.

The first phase of the work (23 windows) was done in December, 2008. The sales rep was great. He explained everything in detail, and followed up frequently to let me know that the order had gone in, the windows were being produced, and the installation was scheduled. He was much more dependable than the Home Depot web site that was supposed to track the job. The installation crew arrived right on time, and did an amazing job. They removed all of the old windows, installed the new windows, cleaned up inside and out, were finished in 5 hours, and still had time to explain everything to me. The only glitch was that two windows that were supposed to have grids in them did not have the grids. They were unusual custom windows, and the lack of grids did not affect the overall appearance of the house, so we installed them. I was assured that I would be refunded the $500.00 for these grids. We love the windows, and a year later called the sales rep back to quote a patio door. At that time, I told him that we had not gotten the $500 refund, and I was having trouble getting anyone in the office to talk to me. He promised to look into it. He called back a few days later and told me that his boss had our file, the boss had agreed that were were due the refund, and it should be coming to us. The patio door was installed by another excellent, professional crew, and we are very happy with it. It is now 2 years since the first contact with them, and we still do not have the $500 refund. It appears that the sales rep no longer works for Home Depot. No one in their office will talk to me, and now they don't even answer the phone. I have never had anyone return a message left on their answering machine. Overall: Excellent windows and door, outstanding service from the sales rep and installers, professionally installed job that has helped our heating/cooling bills, and we are generally satisfied. Unfortunately, we feel like we were ripped off for the $500, and no one at Home Depot seems to care. Evidently, customer service is not a part of the contract with them. I am now planning to replace two tank water heaters with tankless heaters, and I'm not even going to consider Home Depot. I hope they realize that they are going to lose a job worth several thousand dollars over their refusal to deal with the $500 that is due to me. Please share this evaluation with the Home Depot. Perhaps they will respond to Angie's List. They don't respond to me.

Our A/C blower motor burned out. Home Depot's quote was better than that of our usual HVAC company. Installation went OK but dragged on for hours when they tested the installation. Alternately, the excuses were "your electrical system is not good enough", then "rats chewed through your thermostat wire" (yeah right, the old system worked fine with the thermostat) until they brought in an "expert" and they finally got everything to work.

The salesman who looked at our house was OK but a bit too much business and pressure to buy. We declined the radiant heat barrier (too expensive) but decided to get blow-in insulation and two new turbines for attic ventilation. For the first installation appointment, they pulled a no show. I called Home Depot and rescheduled. This time they actually showed up, installed the two turbines and wanted to leave. I asked "what about the insulation", and they said "what insulation?" One of them got on the phone, figured out they were supposed to do insulation, and if I remember correctly, they did it right then. At the end of the job I almost got in an argument about the height of the insulation with them. The guy used a big cardboard ruler to measure the height of insulation (which is what I pay for), but he pushed the cardboard ruler down so hard that it bent and falsely indicated more insulation than they really put in. Only after I complained quite firmly did they put enough insulation in to actually hit the mark, and they were not happy about me speaking up.

They were professional and responsive. It was on the high end of the price spectrum though.

Absolute nightmare. We ordered doors and hardware ( special order ) for the doors on 5-1-10. We were told it would be 10 days and and doors would be ready. The next week we get a call telling us the hardware would not be ready until 6-25-10 and we decided to go back to to store and select some hardware off the shelf. When we select the hardware off the shelf we are told oh no the doors will not be ready in ten days but over two weeks! Sure enough we get a call I believe the date of 5-17-10 that the doors are in. We arranged with the install group to install the doors on 5-25-10. The day of the install the installation guys go to pick up the doors at the local Home Depot store has lost the 9 foot patio door! The installation guys come out install the front entry door only on 6-25-10. So after several calls ( oh by the by cell phone only, the store couldn't accept land line calls. We had to call Atlanta to make contact. Get your cell phone minutes ready with these guys ) with the management at the Home Depot store over the Memorial Day weekend the next Tuesday Home Depot reorders the patio door. No expedite was done to get the door any sooner even though they lost the first one. I told them I expected to compensated for my treatment and I did not want Home Depot gift card! Sure enough we end up we an installation date of 6-25-10. The installation guys did a great job. The next Tuesday the door knob on the patio door comes off in my hand. I took the door knob back to Home Depot. They give me a new door hardware. I installed it myself. To this date no offer of compensation. If I had any idea it was going to be this poor of service for that kind of money I would have gone some where else. All said and done I could have had my original door hardware by the time this circus was done.

Only issue was with the project manager. We told her to call me, but she continued to call my husband who couldn't answer the phone during the day. Also, when we did try to set something up, the project manager was out and didn't have a back-up to answer the phone. Work crew was great, on-site manager was great.

He did a great job. He was on time and professional. He was a delight to work with. Very easy to work with. His name David Hall.

They are very reliable and were here when they said they would be. What I disliked about them was that they charged me twice as much they told me in the estimate. If anyone plans to use them, they should ask up front if there will be any extra charges.

AFTER A SLIGHT DELAY IN GETTING STARTED, I WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE. THEY WALKED ME THROUGH EVERY DETAIL AND WANTED TO MAKE SURE I WAS SATISFIED BEFORE THEY SIGNED OFF ON THEIR COMPLETION.
