Some ridge caps had come out of the roof and as a matter of fact the guys that had done the gutter cleaning found them so we called them out to reattach the ridge caps. And then while he was here he said we have a little bit of dry routes we can go ahead and catch that up and paint it at no extra cost. So he did that for us as well.

They kept us informed on the progress, the additional repairs that were needed when they pulled the old roof off and cleaned up the area completely.

I came across Evans and Horton when Scott made a courtesy call to let me know some repair work was completed for my condos HOA. Following the hailstorms, I contacted him for some emergency work on a shattered skylight. He had someone out first thing the next morning. When I requested a quote for the insurance repair, he was on top of the entire process, communicating every step of the way. He was able to accommodate a quick turnaround and complete all the work while we were out of town. In addition to the hail damage repairs, he adjusted the roof's ventilation and now our attic and storage space is 10-20 degrees cooler. When we returned, the work site had been completely cleaned and you would have never known they were there. Fantastic work. I have already recommended them to others and will continue to do so.

When they were replacing our roof the accidently put a few nails through our A/C duct system. We called them and said it wasn't their fault because the builder shouldn't have but the ducts so close to the roof. They told us to contact their insurance company to cover it but they have a very high deductible. After some time, we ended up paying half of the cost of repairs and they paid half for the repairs. They are always willing to come back if there are any problems and are very responsive.

I have used them earlier in my dad's house. They are very responsive and do a great job.

They did excellent work. They're prompt; they'll be there when they say they'll be there and they get the job done fast.

Performed quality work at reasonable prices. I will definitely be calling them for roof repairs in the future.

I contacted Evans and Horton on 9/13/11 to have someone come out and let me know if my roof needed to be replaced or not. Received an email from Pam Horton the same day to let me know that someone would be calling me. On 9/20/11, got a call from Scott Horton and he let me know that I didn't have enough damage to warrant getting a new roof at this time. I so appreciated his honesty and will be keeping Evans and Horton in mind when my roof does need to be replaced.

Very good experience

I've used Scott Horton for over 20 years for 5 roofs on 5 different homes. He's honest, hardworking, and does quality work and cleanup. His team has even come out and checked out the roof after a hail storm, and told me I didn't need a new roof. How many roofers would actually say that????!!!! Only a truly honest one like Scott Horton and his team. With the storm in 2007, his company also replaced my neighbor's roof and they were very happy.

Overall, the job went very well.

Scott came highly-recommend by a friend, and we are very happy with our new roof. We obtained quote from more than one roofing company, but Evans and Horton was able to offer more services (carpentry and replacement of flue pipe, in addition to roofing), and Scott seemed very comfortable navigating the insurance claim process. Scott is very knowledgeable and responsive. We appreciated his willingness to coordinate responsibilities / schedules with the brick mason we hired to repair our chimney. What impressed us most about working with Evans and Horton... Scott performed some carpentry where our eaves were damaged, and then his crew installed the new roofing over this area. After Scott had left our house, we looked at this area, and we were not satisfied with the APPEARANCE of the materials he used to complete this work. In our opinion, it did not match the existing eaves. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the quality or craftsmanship of Scott's work, but he was willing to come back and redo the carpentry that same day...so that we could be completely satisfied, and we are!

We had previous work done on a small, sloped section of our house by this company. The work they did the first time was great so when the remaining section of our roof needed work, we called them. We also called a secondary roofer who quoted us over twice the price. Once we called Scott at Evans and Horton, he came over immediately, within the hour to take a look at our roof. He explained everything in detail and talked to us about the most cost efficient way to replace our roof. Even though this was Labor Day weekend, he still came out on Friday and had the quote to us that same weekend. We scheduled the appointment, which was pushed back due to the heavy rain in Dallas, but Scott still called to check on us and the roof and kept us up to date. We always felt like we were in the loop. The roof took 2 days to replace and they did a great job. We would highly recommend this company to everyone.

Scott or Wes come and check out the situation. They are very careful and courteous. They have very fair prices. I've recommended them to a neighbor who was also happy.

Scott did a tremendous job, this is the 4th roof I've bought from him over the past 14 years (all different homes) and he is always responsive, professional, cooperative and his crew does a quality job. I'm very pleased and my neighbors also used him and were pleased. Good cleanup. My cost included an upgrade to a higher class, hail resistant shingle.
