Effectual Painting

Effectual Painting was subcontracted for the work through Carl's Handyman (separate review). The crew removed the wallpaper and sealed the walls, returned two days later and textured the wall with knock down look. We decided to wait on paint until we decided if we wanted to redo the whole master bath. They did a really good job, but since they were a subcontractor we didn't get a separate cost breakdown for them.

Jose never showed up!!! Wasted my time and cost me time away from work. I am not a housewife.

Good. The owner, Jose was present throughout most of the work to make sure things were going smoothly and that we were pleased with the results. His workers were polite and hard working. They did a good job. We were pleased with the finished work.

We were in desperate need of some painting to be completed. We regularly use a local handyman company (Carl's Handyman) for our projects. While they were out one day, one of Carl's Handyman's Managers identified our need for full blown paint job and because of the size and scope of the work (multiple rooms, trim and exterior) he suggested that we use Effectual Painting. This was a company they used for all of their big jobs, full remodels and house flips. He set us up with an appointment to get us a quote and it came back far less than what we expected. They were able to start a few days later and bam it was done. The quality and detail was awesome. They worked fast and clean and we're very polite. We highly recommend Effectual Painting if you need work done in DFW.

The Better Business Bureau and I have been trying to contact Shareen and Jose De La Rosa[ Effectual Painting] since 2008 to serve them with due complaint. I'm now aware of Shareen and Jose's location. When I met Shareen she was a very likable person, when Shareen was paid in full she became the complete opposite. August 9th 2008 I had a contract with Shareen to power wash,replace rotted wood, caulk, and paint the exterior of my home. I specifically asked Shareen several times not to forget to paint north side of chimney for reasons it is hidden from ground level. Months later due to issues with roof fan I noticed rotted wood behind chimney did not get replaced, caulked, or painted. Also caulk was missing in many areas of my home. I called Shareen and she assured me someone will be at my home in a couple of days to complete job. One week later I tried calling Shareen leaving messages and she would not return my calls. Over the years I contacted the Better Business Bureau several times and they were unable to contact her. I would not recommend anyone to hire Shareen or Jose, very unprofessional. Also, if you have hired Shareen in the past take a close look at the job you contracted with Effectual Painting. Shareen and Jose have a F rating with the Better Bussiness Bureau this is someone you do not want to hire.

I called the owner, she came out within two days, to give me an estimate. As we went thru the job, she asked specific questions to make sure all the details were thought thru on my part. She offered alternatives and suggested many different ideas and also made sure I knew what they did before each job, detailed. While the job was in progress she was in and out making sure things were going well, making sure we both went around and checked everything. After the job was done she again went thru it all with me to make sure I was satisfied.

Competitively priced and very professional. Work was done in a short amount of time and workers cleaned up after themselves. Loved working with Shareen.
