Chuck Hart's Energy Connection

The sale service they put up was misleading. They said they will seal up to 20 external windows. What they did was not sealing the external windows but put some clear seal inside the corners of the windows trapping dirt and bugs with it. The windows are now ugly with trapped dirt and bugs.

They provided very bad customer service. I had to call every day for two weeks and they never returned my calls. I googled the business and got a different number, they finally answered, and advised that they had been terminated from Angie's List and that he would not be able to honor the deal purchased from Angie's List, and told me that was it.

The service did not really work out. He came to my house and there were two things I wanted done. One of them he could not do at all without coming back at another time. I said okay, fine. After that, he never responded to a text or email about coming back to finish the project. I paid for the whole thing but he never finished it. I am not a complainer, I just move on. He made promises he did not keep. I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service.

'It went well. Since it was many months ago, I don't remember details. Sorry. I also just guessed on the date. We have moved, and the paperwork is still packed up, and I couldn't check for sure.

I was the first one to make contact and I called twice. The first time I got no answer, and the second time I was told that someone would call me back and no one ever did.

In March, we purchased the "$199 for a Door and Window Air Leak Seal and Home Energy Evaluation" deal from Chuck Hart's Energy Connection. We were in the middle of a renovation, so we waited a while before calling to schedule the service. However, the coupon was supposed to be good until September. I called their office and the person answering the phone took my phone number and said that someone would get back to me soon. After waiting several days, I called again. Again, the person on the phone could not connect me with anyone to schedule the service, but took my information and said someone would call me back. I ended up calling them a total of five times and they NEVER responded. This very poor customer service is very disrespectful of my time. I called Angie's List for help. They said they would contact the vendor and have them call me. After three weeks with no response, I gave up and asked Angie's List to give me a refund.

I had this done in May and my electric bill so far has not went down. I also have nothing from them showing that they came out and performed this service. I thought they would give me some type of documentation that shows they were actually here and what they did. They were nice, but seemed to be rushing the job. I was going through asking them to fix things throughout. At this point I do not feel that this was worth the $200.

These guys were awesome. They weatherized my home by caulking windows and doors. Also added a door sweep to my front door. Found major leakage around my newly re-done fireplace. They then ran an air-leak audit and explained to me what was good/bad and left me with a tube of caulk for the future. Highly recommended.

The company was very prompt about contacting me to set up an appointment. The gentlemen showed up at the correct time to perform the service. I inspected the job that was done before your service men left my home and found a window that they had not even done. I walked outside and had to ask that they come back in and finish their job. I was then asked by the technicians if I had any gas that they could borrow in order to get to a gas station. Then, this last weekend I was doing deep cleaning on my house to prepare for my son's graduation and party that was at our home. It was then that I realized that along the caulking line in my windows the animal hair and dirt that I was trying to remove was UNDER the caulk. It was then that I realized that the technicians chose to caulk over everything that was in my window seals. I would have been happy to have them all thoroughly cleaned if I had been told that this needed to be done prior to arrival. I now have dirt and animal hair permanently caulked onto each of my window seals. I have emailed the company with no response.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They didn't do my windows outside. They were supposed to caulk them. It was supposed to be $199 for door and window air leak sealing and an energy evaluation. I didn't pay any additional.. I trusted them and they took advantage of me because I thought they did them outside. It cost too much for what they did. Anther company would have done it for free; I thought I was getting everything sealed. They didn't do what they said they were going to do. They came out at the designated time and they were on time. I was very, very disappointed.

They did a good job, and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. They charged a little bit because they couldn't fix one of the doors because of the design, so they couldn't completely seal it, and one of the other doors had more junctions, and they had a standard, so this was a different door. They did more than was on the scope. They did a good job, they were timely and accurate, and so everything was dead on.

The two men came - I will be honest and say I don't remember the date - but they did a great job of resealing the doors and windows. It was a quick service. It was a little expensive, I thought, but I didn't have any problems either that they had to contend with. They just came in, did their job, and left. No mess. They were very punctual and didn't fool around. I did need to have my doors insulated better and I was very thankful for that - along with the garage door.

I wasn't very satisfied with the service. They couldn't schedule me right away because of issues they had. One of the reasons that I had bought the deal was because we have a door to the patio with a gap to the bottom where the threshold is, and they weren't able to do anything about that apart from tap a metal strip on the inside of the door, which looked very unsightly. I asked them to take that off, and so I still have the gap under the door, and they told me that I could go to Home Depot and buy the strip. They tacked up some stripping on the outside of my house, and it had unsightly aluminum stripping, and so when you walk up to the house, that is what you see first and foremost. Under the door, there is the stripping which is very unsightly, and I am thinking of bringing them down. Unfortunately they drilled holes to put the aluminum siding, so I have to figure out how to patch the holes. They also did the home energy audit, and there was quite a bit of air leakage, he said it was more than twice of what should be normal, but his recommendation was to replace all of my light fixtures with expensive replacement fixtures. They weren't very helpful, because the cost of changing the lights is $100 per light and I have about 50 lights around the house, and they wouldn't do that. The solution he gave was not viable. It took them a week to give me an alternate date, after I had checked the available date on their website. They were on time for the appointment itself.

The service was good. They were quick, efficient, and gave us feedback on things we could do ourselves.

Took a while to get it scheduled. I work and they dont come on weekends and was hard to get afternoon appointment. Pleasant to work and came on time as scheduled. Said that the deal included sealing 5 doors and 20 windows, but I couldnt tell where the windows were sealed ( use a clear sealer) and dark wood trim windows would show the sealer they said , so couldnt be sealed. I was thinking it would be more of a weather stripping than a sealant applied. I never got the written evaluation that was going to be sent by email. He was knowledgeable and had advice of things to do and not do.

It went fine, only problem was trying to match our schedules

The contractor showed up 15 min. before the scheduled time which was exceptional in my book. They explained to me what they would be doing,etc. and were in and out in under 2 hours. They even waited to begin work in our bedroom where my wife and 4 year old were sleeping in as they decided to sleep in. Overall the work was great! Luis, Brandon and Ernesto really worked as a team to get this done so quickly. They even brought in a shop vacuum to vacuum up any mess (not much). I even had a door sweep that I intended to put on my attic door but wasn't able to get to it. Luis took it upon himself to install this for me. To me that was the icing on the cake. I would definitely use them for this again or any other services they provide.

He arrived on time and worked on several doors that had air whooshing through the cracks at the bottom and in between. He also showed my husband a opening in the heating unit closet and showed him the best way to seal it up. We never even noticed it. He did a great job.

They did a really good job. They were very fast and clean. The technicians were super friendly, very helpful, and answered all my questions. They got the job done in about an hour. We had no issues with scheduling.

Don't bother with this company

They had a battery that was out and were unable to finish the job. They we're suppose to return the following week but I have never heard from them again. I feel that the service they provided was way over priced especially because they never gave me the report.

It went fine. They were here about an hour and did a good job. The price was reasonable and I was satisfied with the quality of the work.

They sealed all accessible windows and replaced the seals on the front and rear doors. Did a pressure check to see what was the replacement air within the house.

Instead of using a ladder to reach top part of window, young man just stopped there. I noticed it on two windows and told the head man (R.L.) about it and asked him to check all the windows to make sure he had done the job all the way to the top. He had not, so he himself finished the job; however, after they left I noticed that the tall window which they did not have the ladder to reach was not done at all by either one. I can tell because there are several thin cracks along the window that are not sealed at all. I had questioned whether the window man had done that window and the young man assured me he had. Not true. I wish someone would contact me from the company and send someone else to check the windows again and finish the job as promised. When I asked for a receipt so I could know their names for sure, they said they didn't have one, that the Angie's list receipt was all I needed. Overall, R.L. did a good job but I cannot give good reviews when his helper did such a poor job.
