These guys are as honest as they come. I didn't have the key for the lock so they cut the lock off to access the panel. They called ahead and showed up on time. They didn't overcharge me and were great to deal with. I highly recommend them.

Alan an Susie were very punctual and professional in getting back to us. They were quick to give us an initial estimate for work done and a realistic timeline. They were $300 cheaper than our first estimate we got, so that was good. While work took a couple of weeks to finish, they were very up front that they had a lot of catching up to do from the rain. I didn't mind waiting an extra week or two since they were forthright about it from the start. After sending in our first check for half of the work they informed me that the fabricators had started on the gate the next week, and then a week later they called to do the install. The two workers that showed up were right on time and very kind and professional. They got right to it and finished within 3 hours (teardown, installation, re-attachment of motor). They seem to have been very thorough about making sure the gate was in the right place and the post was level so we wouldn't run into draggin issues. Alan then came out to inspect the work about halfway thru and help with the installation of the motor. He showed me how to program remotes to it and collected payment himself. Overall it was a great experience.

I called Alan's Gates and quickly he came out to look at the problem. He made good suggestions and now we have a wonderfully working gate. He was great to talk with because he could explain things so well. Many times workers just dismiss the wife and want to talk to the husband. I felt I had his full attention with my questions as well. I wish all business transactions went this smoothly.

Alan's Gate is one of the most honest companies out there, i had work with them twice and been more then satisfied. There really are not allot of "Gate" companies that specialize in Gate so if you have a drive gate this is THE company to call.

They were great and fantastic. I've used them before and they really explain everything. The price was reasonable. They were responsive and professional. There have been a couple of times where the gate were giving issues, they showed up and I wasn't home but they were able to service it. I will use them again.

This was the seconed estimate I received to repair my electric gate and it was $300 less Then once Travis started the repair he realized it was a different issue that was causing our problem and he did the entire repair for $100. We were very pleased with the company ... they fit us in during the holidays and came right when they said they would. Bravo!

Alan is very knowledgeable. I was very glad that they came out and worked for me a bid because another company I contacted never followed through with the bid. He did a great job and the gate works very well.

We had a really stubborn electric fence gate that we had called several people about with no good solutions. Alan's came out and figured out the problem in 5 minutes and so far the gate has been working better than ever. Would highly recommend.

We had contacted Alan's Gate due to Angie's List recommendation. In the initial contact, we had expressed that the outside wires had been cut from gardening in the yard and needed a new line. Travis came out and gave an estimate of $200. He didn't have the proper supplies to complete job and came back the next day. After the job was completed, he charges us $275. I didn't dispute the charge, even though he left his trash and cigarette butts throughout my yard. The next day, my remote in my car was not functioning properly. I had to get up really close to the gate, whereas before Travis fixed it, my remote was working great. Our gate would work sometimes through the connection from the house. After a couple of weeks, I called to get Travis back out thinking that this was at least a 30 day warranty. I immediately got push back and was told that I had an old unit and that I needed to get a new unit. I explained that our remotes from cars and handheld were working great until Travis repaired it. Again, I was surprised at the resistant. Travis came back out, did a few adjustments and said if this doesn't work, then we really needed a new unit. Again, the gate was not working properly. So we took it upon ourselves to fix it. We sealed the wire where Travis had connected outside since he had left it exposed and also found that the antenna on the gate had been bent (that is why the remotes weren't working right). The gate is working fine now. Needless to say, I will NEVER use Alan's Gates and will tell everybody I know what had happened.

Super professional from the first call to the finished job, They are the best ever.

Fantastic! I scheduled the appointment a few days ahead of time for Alan to come out and reverse our driveway gate from one that swings in to one that swings out. We also had him program 3 new remotes and program the homelink in our car. This is the second time I have used them to service our gate and have been very pleased on both occasions. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Alan was GREAT and very professional!

Called on Monday and made an appointment for Tuesday morning. They showed up on time and talked with me about my issue. In addition to my specific need they re-routed my wires to avoid future problems and re-set the open/close timer. They were done in short order.

Alan's Gates fit us into a busy schedule and promptly repaired our gate. Professional and courteous; also provided suggestions for regular maintenance. Highly recommend this service provider.

The electrical motor to my gate quit working. Alan's gates came out and diagnosed the problem as a burnt circuit board and tried a field repair in order to save me money and not have to buy a new circuit board. However the circuit board was too damaged so they ordered and installed a new board. They also cleaned and lubricated the chain and adjusted the closing mechanism so it also closed better than before. Took the time to service the whole system, not just the current problem, which was much appreciated.

Arrived early (after calling to ensure that doing so was okay), fixed the problem and was great.

There were multiple failures that needed attention. The gates are working fine now. Very professional service.

This was great! Alan was here shortly after we called. He worked fast, found the problem fast and had my gate fixed in under an hour. while he was here he programmed the gate code into 3 remotes and my wifes car. Oh, and he is also really nice. I will call Alan for all of my gate needs.

Punctual and professional service performed by Alan! Old-school business ethics. Excellent follow up by Susie keeping us informed about scheduling details. I was expecting a repair of our gates that would require significant cost. Alan was able to get the gets operational in under 2 hours. I'm very impressed with the service rendered.

Travis was great. I was thoroughly impressed. One of the best home maintenance contractor experiences that I have had. On time, professional, very knowledgeable, quickly ascertained the problem, and went above and beyond to repair and pre-empt damage to the chain structure on our back electric gate. Absolutely great service.

Suzie was great and very easy to talk to. She was able to schedule to have Travis come out the same day to take a look at our broken gate opener. I had already gotten another opinion and wanted to know all my options before investing in a new system. Travis came out and identified the problem that our existing motor was too small for the gate. He broke down all our options (long vs. short term) and also did his measurements to make sure the new motor would fit the space. Travis was really knowledgeable and explained everything simply. The installation took about 4 hours and we now have a new commercial grade gate opener, key pad, and remotes. Alan's Gates were very easy to work with and I will be using them to for tune ups!

I called the office and we set up a time for repair. The technician called before heading over to confirm our appointment. Once he arrived he quickly figured out what the problem was. He left to get the part needed and quickly returned to install. The gate works great now! We would definitely use them again!

Returned service call request same day. Very polite and professional on phone. Explained fee schedules. Offered to service same day or following day. Tech (Travis) was very professional and in general, just a super nice guy. He showed up on time and performed all necessary work. By suggesting an alternate repair option, we were able to save $$ -as we thought we would need to pull up and re-seat gate line. It was obvious he cared about customer service and went out of his way to obtain a part for us that he did not originally have on his truck.

I called and they were able to come out that same day. Travis was very professional and fixed the issue perfectly. He was very professional and double checked all his work before leaving. I recommend these guys if your gate isn't working properly.

Made a call for service in the afternoon and appointment was set for the next morning. Alan showed up right on time. He worked very efficiently both to discover and resolve the problems, particularly since there was multiple issues (GFI was tripped, battery and cables were old and corroded, wires were cut in multiple locations both above and underground from landscaping). I presumed that at least one of the gate actuators would need to be replaced or repaired, but he was able to get it fully operational without doing any of that. Alan was very friendly, professional knew what he was doing. I would definitely recommend him for service.
