Air-Pro A/C & Heating

I do not even know where to start! My two HVAC systems really struggled through this summer. They were BOTH ancient and, apparently, BOTH were leaking freon from the (rusty) evaporator coils. We really needed a zoned system, but when we built an addition on to our home, the contractor simply added a unit for the addition. The second floor was NEVER cool, and if it was, the downstairs was cold. Finally, toward the end of the heat wave, one of the units started failing. The best it could do at the hottest time of day, was a balmy 80. That was OK, but not for the long term. So the fabulous folks at AirPro (who my reliable friends at Long Electric and A/C recommended after they retired) came in and diagnosed the problem. After analyzing every aspect of the existing ducts and system (remember, we built on a major addition to the home) designed a single system with two zones and two thermostats by installing new ductwork with dampers and AMAZING Bryant/Carrier equipment. AMAZING because (1) IT IS SO QUIET. I don't mean just the compressor outside, although THAT is amazingly quiet. I mean the unit INSIDE. My previous system came on pulling so much power that it dimmed the lights and then blew so hard that I had to install diverters to keep the air from blowing me away. (I uninstalled them yesterday!) I cannot even TELL when this one is on! I have to look at the thermostat! (2) It keeps the temperature SO EVEN all over the house. It's just so different from the previous systems. I am speechless! (3) I can control the schedule and the temperature from my PHONE! So, if I am out of town and forgot to turn the temperature up or down to save energy, I can do it from wherever I am. The new system required a LOT of work up in the attic to connect the two sets of ductwork and the dampers. But they were SO fast and efficient it was just unbelievable. We thought it might take more than a day, but they started to work really early and got it all done in one day. They were VERY careful to keep my rugs and floors pristine and they cleaned up THOROUGHLY. AirPro is a great family-owned business with a great bunch of folks who design and install great systems! He was very prompt. Called to say he might be late, but wasn't late after all. Very polite and knowledgeable. Found a dead lizard in the ac unit that caused a part to short out. Definitely will call him again!

We have used Air Pro for years, they installed the system in our house and they came to do a tune-up. They are prompt, honest and professional and they use the best quality products. The price is good.

Good company, buts expensive services Punctual, knowledgable and reasonably responsive service

I found a Air-rPro business card in my mail box addressed to the previous owner, marked and quot;Tune-Up Special through May 18thand quot;. Then I found Air-Pro on Angie's List with a good rating. I call to set an appointment. My call was returned while I was driving on the freeway , so I said call me when you have an opening in the afternoon. Then one morning I found a text message on my phone timed 5am that he could come by that morning. I called back later that day to ask for at least 24 hour notice for an appointment at the end of the work day. I detected a tone of annoyance in the response. Then later an appointment was arranged. I left work early to meet the service man. He was polite enough. I showed him the units in and out of the house and left him alone while I prepared for an all night shift at my job. Soon he called me to the A/C unit. He said the Capacitor should be replaced. The part would cost $159. I did not have time or knowledge to question and said OK. Before he left, he handed me the bill - $357. ($99*2 for 2 units + $159) . THIS IS NOT A TUNE-UP SPECIAL !!! Later Angie's List offered an A/C Tune for two units at $64 total. I went to a retail electronics supply store to find the Capacitor. The same one that Air_Proc changed $159, I could have bought for $14. Also I found the the outdoor units were NOT cleaned out. What a Price Gauging, dishonest, lazy business. I will NEVER NEVER use Air-Pro again. This also means Angie's Business List is not always recommendable.

They were punctual. They did a good job checking my system and explaining everything.

Scooter was very knowledgable and great to work with. They installed a new air conditioner and divided my house into two zones - upstairs and downstairs - and put in a programmable thermostat. No problems whatsoever. Very pleased with their work.

The fan on the outside unit would not run. From my self diagnosis I was fairly confident the capacitor needed to be replaced. Called Air Pro because they were local in the Bedford Texas area and had 3 positive reviews on Angies list. Scheduler was nice and gave us the option of after hours repair. To save on money we opted for the next morning. I believe the owners name is Scooter; showed up about 9:30 am and tested the unit and confirmed that only the capacitor needed to be replaced. He also explained that the dust and dirt in the coils that the fan pulls air through should be cleaned out. I agreed to this service. He showed me the pressure readings and amperage draws before and after the cleaning and it was substantial. If we had maintained the unit then the capacitor may not have failed prematurely. I will use them in the future and will also recommend Air Pro to others.

The techs and the office personnel were all very friendly, helpful, and professional. They worked with my situation for very prompt service. Scott and Christian provided lots of information and thoroughly explained the work they did. I would definitely use this company again for my A/C and heating needs.

They are very thorough. I like their good personal interaction between the people who come in to do the service. They proactively replace things if necessary. I have had a 10-year warranty with them so they installed the regular air conditioner. I think they are little more expensive than I use to pay for another service provider. I have used them for several years, and I don't know now whether the other service provider has raised their rates or not. Usually I pay about $75 for somebody to come in and do the seasonal service if necessary. That is what they charge. Their quality of service and professionalism is very good. They usually are there when they say they are, that makes them punctual.

The experience with them has been good. They are very honest, its a family owned business so you either get the son or the owner. They are dependable and they call and re-confirm appointments with you before they come out.

The price was a little expensive but everything was done correctly and in a timely manner. They came right on time. The price did not include the filters as we already had them. We wouldn t change anything about our experience.

THE AIR PRO TEAM WAS PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, ON-TIME AND HELPFUL IN EXPLAINING ALL PHASES OF THE PROJECT. WORK WAS DONE WITHOUT PROBLEMS AND THE AREA WAS COMPLETELY CLEANED UP. THIS COMPANY IS SMALL BUT VERY COMPETENT AND DOES GOOD WORK. THE PRICE WAS COMPETITIVE.
