ACME GARAGE DOORS

It turned out well. The door works better now. It's more quiet and smoother.

I made the appointment on Thursday, she said he would call Saturday morning to set up a time that was agreeable to both of us. He called about 9 and said he would be here between 10 and 12, which he was. He was very thorough and knowledgeable about what he was doing. I was very impressed with the service and quality of workmanship. My garage door sounds and runs like a new one!

They were very timely in their response. They kept the appointment and they were real good at following up after the job was done to make sure we were satisfied. They removed the old door and disposed of it. After the job was complete, we found a small problem and they came back out to fix it. The door looks nice and overall I am satisfied, I would have been happier if there were no mistakes and it was right the first time. I kind of rushed to have the door put on so I didn't even get any other estimates.

Our garage door opener was running, but nothing was moving. I unplugged the main unit and removed the cover, hoping to find something simple. The main gear assembly had reduced itself to powder. On the other opener in our garage was a label for the Acme Garage Door service company. I called, explained the problem, and was given an estimate over the phone along with the assurance that this is a common problem with this type of unit. I didn't get other estimates. It didn't seem to be an outrageous estimate, but I figured that I would do a little research first; so off to some other companies to price a new unit and get some more information. The price for a new unit was approximately twice what the repair would cost and being Christmas time, the decision came easy. We called Acme back the following morning, was told someone would be there between noon and 2 that day. The technician came, as scheduled, repaired the unit, checked it all out and made us very happy.
