Accu-Find Slab Leak Inc

We were concerned about seeing lots of cracks in our 35 year old home.

When Barry came out, he looked at the job and gave me an explanation of the work that he thought would need to have done. The only thing that I would have liked to have had is some more details in the quote that I was given. He did follow up with me after the quote and I am now deciding which company to go with for the work.

The company was very easy to do business with. The folks that answered the phone were pleasant and knowledgeable. They provided accurate written estimates for both the leak detection and repair. The leak detection and repair technicians were excellent. They did their difficult job in an excellent manner with extreme attention to leaving the repaired area in as good a condition as when they arrived. I was amazed that there was virtually nothing to clean up after they were done with jackhammering our floor and going under the foundation to repair the leak. WOW is all I can say. The guys did accidentally nick a small spot on our porcelain tub. When I discussed this with them they said they would have it repaired at their cost. They arranged to have another company complete the tub repair and that company did an excellent job. You can't even tell it was nicked. I highly recommend this company for your leak detection and repair. They are very quality oriented. Most importantly, when something did not go as expected (nicking the tub) they promptly addressed the problem and made it right. This is the mark of an excellent company that I would do business with in the future.

I have used Accu-Find before, so when the city notified my mother that she had a plumbing leak, I called them again. Accu-Find came to her house within one day of my call to diagnose the problem and it turned out to be a leak in the sprinkler system. They shut off the sprinkler to stop the leak and explained everything to my mother.....all at no charge. I am going to attempt to repair the leak myself, but will definitely be calling Accu-Find the next time I have a slab leak.

It was fine. They were very courteous, they were very clean. They wore booties over their shoes when inside of the home. They left everything clean.

Accu-Find showed up on time and provided professional service. In addition to smoothly diagnosing and repairing the leak, they discover a natural gas leak on my furnace. Accu-Find specializes solely in slab leaks, so they recommended I contract with a different plumber to repair the gas leak. Henry's All Service repaired the gas leak.

They were on time very clean and explained what they were doing when I had asked them questions.

They were awesome. Good service, timely, professional. They were careful about the cats when they had to go into the back room. They were willing to stop and answer questions as the did stuff - explaining as they went so we knew what was going on. I would definitely use this company again.

Well the house was disrupted for sure, but that is to be expected with the level of work needed by my home. My home layout didn't help that much as the bathrooms are back to back and quickly become one (inter-connected) under the slab. However, at the end of each shift the plumbing was temporarily restored so that we had at least one each of the big three (shower, lavatory, commode) plus the kitchen sink. Boards were placed and taped over the slab penetrations and cleanup performed each night. The crews were always considerate of us, our pets, and our belongings. Anything that I was concerned about was quickly addressed or explained. Proper permitting was obtained and inspection by city inspector was performed before slab closure.

The 2 employees (1 licensed plumber, 1 assistant) were punctual and professional. They went right to work and identified the line that was leaking (the location was obvious because there was a hot spot right over it) and cut out part of the drywall in the adjacent bathroom (below sink) to access the line. They cut it, then added a new line directly from the water heater. It took nearly the entire day because they had difficulty routing the line through the attic and down an exterior wall. But they did a good job & insulated the entire line in the attic. The results were positive, & the water even seems to get hotter faster due to the shorter run. The only complaint was that we had asked if they could just duct tape the drywall they had to cut (they had actually made 2 cuts because the first was not in the right spot to access the line) until we get a chance to repair/patch/paint, and they said they did not do that because it falls under the no aesthetic work clause. It is understandable that they aren't in the business of patching and painting, but simple duct tape shouldn't have been an issue. In fact, the city inspector came while they were still there & told them (without us mentioning it) that they needed to promise to duct tape the drywall to pass inspection. Still, we would consider using them again if we have another leak.

I had used Accu-Find before and they had done an excellent job, so I chose them again. I had already removed the carpeting and underlayment, about to install engineered flooring, and located the general area of the leak by floor temperature and sound. I drilled and located the leak with a small access, and temporarily plugged it so we could have the water on until they could get to us. A very experienced team arrived on time and began the expansion of the opening and repairs. After drilling and opening an appropriate access into the slab, the crew replaced and re-routed the piping in a manner that avoided compromising a beam, which would have negatively affected the foundation. They found a second leak in an adjacent pipe and replaced that as well. All the repaired piping was pressure-tested, to verify repairs, the access was filled, moisture barrier installed, and concrete poured.

Accu-Find Slab Leak was professional and friendly throughout the experience. The work was completed in one day and the town inspector came out the next day for the inspection. The work passed and Accu-Find Slab Leak came back out within an hour of the inspection to cover the holes in the sheet rock. They do not make sheet rock repairs which was disclosed up front and was consistent with what other providers said as well. So the sheet rock is taped back in place and we will repair it more permanently later.

We were seeing water seep from underneath the ceramic tiles in our kitchen so we thought we might have a slab leak. We called Accu-Find and the owner came out the same day. He took water pressure readings and determined that there was not a slab leak. It turns out the dishwasher was leaking and had to be replaced.

He was able to come up with a more cost effective solution for the break in the line, he said they could use a boring machine and reroute new pipe outside the house wall and trench it to the outside. They did a great job and now I have all new PVC pipe on the side of the house and saved a lot of money. I could not be more happy with Accu-Find. Both times I used them I could not have been happier with the results.

At the beginning of January we discovered we have a hot water slab leak. I called a few companies to give us a quote and the quotes were just insane. When I found Accu-Find Slab Leak Inc on Angies list I called them right a way. The owner came out the next day to give his quote. I was surprised when he gave me the quote because everyone else was just sky high amounts. He told me that if we schedule this it couldn't be done til the end of January. Well with the reviews and the price I scheduled for the work to get done. The owner also told me that even though I had a hot water slab leak doesn't mean I had to take cold showers everyday. He showed me how to turn off the hot water when your not using it and turn it on when I need to shower or wash dishes. I didn't know how because my water heater is gas. The crew (2 men) showed up January 31st about 8am and got busy right a way. They didn't even drill in the foundation, they rerouted the hot water line through the attic so that we wouldn't have any future problems later down the road. They also did the cold water line just because they were right next to each other. They cleaned up there mess. I recommend Accu-Find Slab Leak to anyone. They are very professional, fast and the price was reasonable. I also felt confident that I picked the right company because slab-leaks is all they do. It's been a few weeks now and I'm blessed to have hot water again.

They were very good and do plumbing repair and plumbing replacement. Their work was excellent and they were here for a month. They were done on time, clean and timely. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. They work with State Farm; that could be a positive or a negative. Their quality was excellent.

They called us the day before the work was scheduled to confirm we still wanted them to do the job, showed up exactly on time, worked quickly and efficiently, finished early, and called for the inspection. Inspector came the next morning. Except for the wait because they are so busy, it was a stress free experience. Oh, and they gave me the Angie's list discount without me even asking. I would definitely use them again, although I hope I don't have to. .

Price was too high vs others.

I thought the cracks in my home were a foundation issue but the foundation people told me I had a sewer leak. Accu-Find located 5-6 leaks and scheduled the work. The locate team was prompt and efficient. The repair team came in as scheduled. This was hard physical labor of jackhammering concrete and digging. Some spaces, near toilet, were narrow. They worked diligently and methodically- a team of two workers. I was told to expect 8 hours, 2 man team per hole. Estimate was exact. The workers were pleasant, neat, and cleaned up each day before leaving. I had one concern and called the office. It was immediately addressed and I was made to feel as though they appreciated my calling. I would absolutely use this company again and give them my strongest recommendation.

I called on a Monday morning and was told that the owner, Barry, probably wouldn't be able to get out to look at the property until the next day - I said that I would be available any time to get this addressed as it was urgent. Barry called an hour or so later and said he had some time to come take a look at the issue. He arrived 20 minutes later and proceeded to listen to all the pipes in the house with a small sound device and headphones. He quickly determined that the leak didn't appear to be in the house or under the slab. He concluded that the leak must be between the meter at the street and the house. He eliminated the sprinkler system as the source of the leak and then determined that the leak was about 2 feet from the water meter. I hired a plumbing company to come out and repair the leak and it was exactly where Barry said the leak was. He was professional, on-time, accurate and reasonably priced. I would certainly use them again.

We bought a rent house that needed foundation repair. The plumber for the foundation company detected a sewage leak when he did the pre-repair hydrostatic testing. Knowing this could be potentially very costly, we interviewed five or six plumbers to get estimates as well as a feel for their knowledge and professionalism. From the start, we were very impressed with Accu-Find. They were also one of the lowest quotes. They quoted us $300 for the first two hours, which included a $100 camera rental, plus $95 per hour thereafter. While other plumbers had estimated 6-8 hours, Accu-Find estimated 3 or 4. On the date of the service they arrived promptly, were very courteous and highly professional. They found three leaks in three different locations of the house and were finished in 3 hours. Their service includes a full report with drawings and an estimate to repair the leaks. We would love to use them for the repair. However, they are booked several weeks out and we're trying to get this house repaired quickly so that the warranty on the foundation repair just done will be valid
