I called both numbers. Message was that mobiles were out of the area. No hours. I drove by address. Van was there with same phone number. It was a house so I assumed they were gone or not wanting to work. No hours anywhere! Very inconsiderate. No message on recorder. This is how a business is run?

Description of Work: I lost my car keys on a Saturday. Bad move. Hill Country doesn't do weekends. But, he showed up when he said he would. My jeep is a 96, so it was tough to make a key. He got very innovative and solved the problem. Other than not working on weekends, Hill Country is superb

We'd just moved into our new house and wanted to change out the exterior door locks as one of our security measures. We found Hill Country Lock & Key in the Yellow Pages and gave them a call. Their estimate was reasonable, and they came out and did the work. It was done quickly, professionally and to our order. We believe we got good value for what we paid.

We recently moved into a new home, where the main locks had a dangerous feature: when locked, they could only be opened from inside with a key. We needed to have this corrected, as well as rekeying the locks for security purposes. We called Hill Country Lock & Key, explained the problem and set up an appointment. At the time of the appointment we received a call from the owner asking to reschedule due to "a flood of emergencies". We agreed to a new appointment for a few days later. This time the 2-person crew showed up promptly, thoroughly reviewed our options, and immediately went to work implementing our decisions. Conditions necessitated some minor changes to the plan, not surprising when back-fitting new locks into old hardware, but these were explained and handled in stride. The work was completed in a little over an hour. We were very satisfied with the work, and the need to reschedule was the only reason they didn't get "A" throughout. They are a small operation, and we can understand that the instances of folks locking themselves out of their homes, cars, etc. is not something they can control. We would recommend this company to others.
Description of Work: Rekeying three doors in a single-family home. Installing new deadbolts in two of them.
