When I called to set up appt for free estimate employee was friendly on phone. When workers got here to measure they said the office would call back with the estimate for the damage. Later that afternoon the woman who called gave the estimate and wanted to know when to schedule the work. I stated that we had another estimate that my husband and I would compare and get back with them. She then became very hostile on the phone and stated, "She wished that we would have stated that we were getting several estimates for the work when I had called to schedule". I said at the time I was not planning on another estimate because they had been recommended to me but our neighbors used someone else and he was there completing their work and came over for an estimate(which was significantly lower). She just kept repeating we should have said we were getting other estimates. I then questioned what difference it made how many estimates I got. She said that they had gotten away from doing bids on projects that weren't sure jobs for them. This is not stated on their website anywhere. I again stressed that I had not planned on getting another estimate but it just happened and said that it is my right to get as many estimates that I want to compare. Woman continued to be extremely hostile. I then told her to not worry about hearing back from us because we would not be using their services and hung up the phone. I have never experienced that amount of rudeness on a phone call from a potential business transaction. If the company does not want to do free estimates anymore then they should post it on their website and when calling to set up appt ask if job is a sure thing or one of several estimates.
