Hugh Morren

Mr. Morren, is nothing less than outstanding. He is the most professional, most responsive painter/drywaller/handyman that I have ever contracted. I have been a rental property owner for 20 years and as such I have dealt with many painters or other repair specialists and never has anyone done what Mr. Morren did. 1/2 way through the job, he called me and made a suggestion to change the work. I assumed that he was going to ask me for more money, instead, he actually charged me less! To say that I was amazed is an understatement. Moreover, his quality of work and craftsmanship is second to none. If you need work done, he's the man you need to call and hire.

Hugh showed up on time every day and made sure we were happy with his work. Some of the textures were difficult to match, and he had to redo some of them at no additional charge.

I have used Hugh a few times over the past couple of years. Each time he has been responsive in getting to the job. Unfortunately, he has been very, very busy due to the high demand for his work, but he makes the time to get the jobs done. He gives the receipts for items he has purchased so that I know he is not charging extra for materials, and he daily rate is reasonable for such high quality work.

The process took a total of five days. He started on Monday and finished on Friday, just as he said he would. He was careful to protect the floor even though it is very old and is being replaced in a few weeks. He cleaned up after each day's work so that we could get in and out of our closets.

Came by when he said he would for the est. Started when he said he would, showed up each day at approximate time he said. Cleaned up after job completions. Over all very satisfied.

The work was done within the proposed time and was done well.

Mr. Morren did a great job. Mr. Morren kept us informed every step of the way with regards to the job.

He fixed some door frames, cracks in the walls and other miscellaneous work. He did exactly what he said he would do for the exact amount of money he said.

Hugh Morren was prompt in coming out to give us an estimate and gave us a fair deal. The spare bedroom and the hall ceiling had a lot of damage so it was a lot more work than it sounds! We feel he went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right and would definitely hire him again!

I felt the quality of work that they did was very poor and I feel that he did not have the required skill set to do this project. I would not recommend Hugh Morren and I will not use him again in the future.

Excellent! Hugh is trustworthy, works independently, and is honest to a fault. He is well groomed, professional, and someone you would have over for dinner. If he felt like he made a mistake he pointed it out to us, and then he corrected it. If we found something that we didn't like, he was not defensive about it, he just made it right to our satisfaction. Hugh is more than a handyman, he is someone who can help give direction if needed in any home improvement project. Many times we left him alone to work inside the house because we could trust him. You can't go wrong hiring this guy. His work and his Angieslist reviews speak for themselves. We have him coming back soon for our next project.

The work done was excellent. Attention to detail in aspects of the job. He takes particular attention to detail. He protected and cleaned up after each phase of the job. The job site was spotless at completion. Very impressed with Hugh’s conscientiousness. This is the second time I have use him for home repairs and will continue to use him in future endeavors.

I reached out to Hugh Morren for help with replacing an attic door and ladder last month. Hugh did a great job at a reasonable price and I will use him again in the future.

Hugh Morren did an excellent job. He was easy to work with and honest and punctual.

He came when he was going to and I told him what I needed for which I required 3 estimates. He sent me the same and I have emailed him back, that I am looking out for him and will be making a decision shortly. I am impressed with him and I will probably go ahead and follow through. We are talking over the money and willing to do it, probably from my retirement accounts. He was very thorough and came when he was supposed to. He told me, when I would get the estimates and I got it as committed. I am very happy with him and I will surely go with him. He will be doing a little bit of everything. I have a rent house and an own house. I had a lot of foundation problems, which has been fixed beautifully, but there is damage in every room, so we discussed all the rooms and what needs to be done. He gave me the estimate, although he didn’t know the exact cost of the materials, but he estimated what he thinks the materials would cost. There are several cracks and he is going to be doing, drywall, door frames and little bit of everything. I have a rent house where the outside panel is rotten and he will be replacing the wood and matching the paint. It involves a little bit of everything, a handyman type of work. I will be talking to my financial advisor to check how I will be paying for the job. I have been estimated roughly about $6000 and he has done everything he agreed to do, along with supervising. He is a nice guy and I will surely use him in future.

Overall experience was excellent. Hugh was very personable on the phone and arrived on time for the initial cost estimate. He climbed into the attic to perform measurements and then discussed how job would proceed. Replacement was completed a few days later without incident. I was very impressed with his attitude and we discussed several other future jobs that I will have him do. I highly recommend him for any work you may have.

Hugh completed all the work to perfection and even came back a couple of times to repaint because the paint I purchased did not match. The repair and texture is a perfect match and you cannot tell where it was done. I highly recommend him.

Hugh met with me and we discussed the work that I wanted done. He was on time and did not keep me waiting. Once Hugh understood what I was asking him to do he made a few suggestions that were right on and really would look better than what we had asked for. Hugh provided me with a quote for the work to be done and a time line of what would be done each day up to completion. The job took 4 days as he had told us and at the end of each day the area was cleaned up and in good order, On the completion Hugh walked through the work to make sure it all met our expectations and then packed up his tools and cleaned everything up before leaving.

Hugh Morren - Handymen. He is number 1. Did a heck of a job on our floors. It took a month, because we had other things going on. He is very easy to work with, very knowledgeable. Cleaned up everything, and put on a water line for our refrigerator. Did tile and grouted it. He was always there when we needed him. We even gave him a key to our house. He was wonderful. We will use him again.

The work is a work of a person who cares about the finished product. There were even some glitches in the plan, with suppliers of some of the hardware giving us the wrong pieces. He took it upon himself to research via the internet the correct part number, call the manufacturer in Houston, and confirm the part number that the local retailer had to order to make the job top-notch. Simply outstanding. He is a little pricey, but in this case you get what you pay for.

He did a real good job. He ran into some difficulties. It wasn't just a matter of replacing a couple of boards when he came out to give me the estimate. We found some additional damage that he had to fix. He went ahead and did that as well. We had some unique sizing for the wood. He had to go to a mill shop to get it to look correctly. He did an excellent job. He gave attention to detail in making sure that the job was done correctly. It took more labor. I don't know how you can measure the labor, but the original estimate was over $100.00 more. It was understandable based on the circumstance.

Hugh always shows up on time with a smile. He has done other work for us and we would gladly have him back. He is always great about coming back if you have any questions about anything. He will make the job right for sure.
