The impetus for this job was a slow drip from the laundry tub faucet. We decided as long as we were at it we should replace the faucet (we have been unable to turn the water on or off for years due to corrosion) and the laundry tub as well as the clothes washer connections and hoses. All of these were very old and inadequate so a little preventive and deferred maintenance was in order. Our call was answered immediately by a knowledgeable person who explained the pricing policies and made an appointment for a service call that same day. Jon Scheumann showed up a few minutes early after calling to confirm his arrival. He explained options and provided an estimate and completed the work that afternoon. The plumbing work and fixtures are all top quality. Jon nicked the wall in the stairway carrying the new laundry tub down to the basement. He apologized and arranged to have a painter come patch it up at his expense. That work was done the next day and also is top quality. We will not hesitate to call American Eagle Plumbing again the next time we need a plumber.

Everything is working great now and the plumber who came out was very helpful!

We spent thousands of dollars on various projects around the house at such as a sump pump and fixing the pressure issue. A few months later, the pipes began to rattle and make noises at nights after not being used for a bit. It was a pressure issue. We contacted American eagle plumbing since it was under warranty and they said if it is the issue they will fix it. If it is not the issue, they will charge 80 dollars for coming out. YES 80 dollars for the visit when they should just honor their work. We decided to go with someone else who isn't overpriced. If you are planning to use American eagle plumbing, look at their membership deal it will save you money on huge projects or go with someone cheaper. American eagle plumbing will not honor warranty on their work...

Do not work with American Eagle!!!! American Eagle was hired by my contractor to do the plumbing for my kitchen and bathroom remodel. The contractor gave me an estimate two months before the work was scheduled to start. A week before the work was scheduled to start, American Eagle more than doubled the projected cost of the work (from $2,100 to $4,800). I wasn't in a position to postpone the project, so I had no choice but to agree. Most of the work they did was just fine, with one glaring exception. I'd asked them to reinstall my existing garbage disposal, which had been working just fine. When they took it out, they neglected to mention to me that it had a crack in it until a month later, after they had already reinstalled it. At that point, they left for the day - with the broken disposal still installed - and left me a voicemail saying they would sell me a new one and install it for an additional $963! My contractor talked them down to $500 (still an exorbitant price), but at that point I'd had enough. I found another plumber (Norblum Plumbing) on Angie's List who sold me the exact same disposal, took out the broken one, and installed the new one for a total of $263 ($150 for the disposal and $113 for installation). My advice, hire Norblum instead!

They were on time, very respectful of my home by bringing there own rugs and drop cloths and wore boot covers. Provided step by step information so I understood what I was receiving. Do not hesitate to call them!

They made some recommendations. They were very thorough in their work, and completed the project in a few hours. I really enjoyed working with them. Very professional and friendly, very clean. Jon is great. We’ve only used American Eagle Plumbing for our plumbing needs; he’s been with us for two homes!

Josiah and Derek were prompt, courteous, thorough, and very professional. They identified several parts that need to be replaced due to aging or because the original plumbing (1960) no longer meets code. They did not pressure me to make all of the updates now. However, when they found tha the upstairs toilet was leaking down to the basement floor with each flush, it was apparent that the toilet needed to be replaced. They were able to go get the new toilet and install it on the same day. Cost was reasonable. Works great! Highly recommend them!

Not so well. They were professional and timely, but out of site on cost. All told it was almost $2400 for materials and labor. They would not give me a break down of parts and labor cost. They work off of some sort of chart pricing, that din't seem to really reflect the scope of what they were bidding. After checking other plumbers, I was told the typical cost should be in the $800 range for parts and labor. Another company said I could supply the pump and only pay 1 1/2 to 2 hours of labor to install. Much better deal. These guys must think I am an idiot to pay their asking price. It was almost insulting. Stay away from these guys.

My overall experience with American Eagle Plumbing is great. I called in the morning and described the issue, the lady who answered the call was fully on board and understood what I need. She found an open schedule in the same day and follow up with me when the tech (Josiah) was running late from previous service call. Josiah also has professional attitude and honesty. He explained the issue and give me the options (fix or replace) for the issue. While the option will cost me $300.00+ or $1,500.00+ and it was top decision for me as I don’t want to pay for $300.00 and end up not fixing the issue, then have to pay another $1,500.00 on the top of it. But Josiah was able to tell me that I can going with fix option first, as long as I let him do the job for replace option if needed, he will not charge the time that he has to spend to try to fix the issue. At the end, he fixed the issue. I am all happy and will recommend this company for other people.

Called them on Monday morning because water heater was discharging. By early afternoon Jon showed up. Diagnosed problem to be related to very high water pressure (nearly 80 psi). Installed pressure reduction valve and pressure tank. I had called water heater manufacturer and this was the remedy they suggested so I knew Jon was doing what was recommended. However, within a few hours the tank again discharged lots of hot water. I called Jon and he arranged for a new control component to be sent under warranty by the manufacturer. Early Wednesday morning Jon installed the new component and we thought all was well. However Thursday morning found hot water flowing from the discharge pipe once again. Notified Jon and he returned and installed a new overflow valve. He also rigged up PVC pipe to direct water to the drain in the event it happened again. It has been over a week now and the water heater seems to be performing as it should. While I was not happy that it took multiple tries to fix the darn thing, I know Jon was following the recommended protocols and did so in a professional manner. He was very responsive and empathetic. He checked in with me numerous time to see if there we problems. He was genuinely interested in solving the problem and eventually did.

Professionalism, respect and integrity go a long way with me, and Josiah and American Eagle embody all of these qualities. The price point was higher than some competitors, but I am a firm believer that in the end, you get what you pay for. Josiah did a thorough inspection of my home inside and out and discussed with me his recommendations, but in no way pressured me into buying those services. I will recommend American Eagle, and definitely hire them again.

Originally, I was just looking for a quote on a water heater and softener. But, they charge for that. Then I had a kitchen faucet come loose and figured two bird one stone and I would at least get my faucet tightened. It was a sales job from the start. Jon mentioned he started working for this company, he is the owner. Found a lot “upsell” issues with the scary word of “illegal”. Amazingly the quote for the faucet tightening alone came in so high that it was cheaper for me to go with someone else even with the trip fee. Over twice as much.

No work performed- they want $59 to come out and estimate the job. To avoid unnecessary travel on their part, I had pictures and written details. They wouldn't accept them and only want to travel out for the estimate.

Very professional & knowledgeable. Installed a BrassMaster water softener that has been fantastic. For the shower plumbing, what I thought was just a small drip involved more to fix. I was given 3 options to fix, at various price points. Definitely will use again for any plumbing needs.

Plumber, Josiah, was outstanding. Went through everything we needed to know. The job was completed and we're happy with the results. I do feel like they are a tad on the pricey side but I was able to get what I wanted and completed same day.

Excellent!, without one hitch, mistake, miscalculation, or delay. And, no problems with any of the work completed since it's completion.
