My mother lives in north Fort Worth, she is 81 years old and lives by herself. She had what we thought was a leak in her irrigation system. Sprinkler guy came out and discovered that we had a leak in the main line to the house. He recommended Strain. They came out and not only found and fixed the leak but did it at a great price. They could have easily taken advantage of my mother. they sent out multiple technicians and knocked the job out in about 4 hours. I highly recommend this comoany. Work was done quickly and appliance now works

Went well. Only problem was that new sink would not completely drop into the existing cutout because of the underside of the rim of the new sink. Strain plumbers informed us right away, and told us they did not cut countertops. My husband cut the countertop himself with the plumbers assisting him. Then the sink and faucet was installed without any problems. Working fine.

They understood that I was trying to minimize costs and we're happy to work with me on options. Completed work as described in a timely manner. Would use again.

It all went very smoothly. Mr. and Mrs. Strain (answers the phone) were very professional, helpful, he came quickly, gave us a quote on what we thought was a fair price based on another quote we got, sent out an employee who did a good job, and gave us advice about the best way to pass inspection. I'd recommend them.

Quality of work seems excellent. The broader team does not communicate clearly with customers or among themselves. We experienced no less than 3 significant communication issues across this work, which lead to incorrectly changed scheduled and incorrect expectations about what we were having performed. Team should work on assuming less and clarifying more with customers.

We had been having problems with the air conditioner and the technician determined that the system wasn't draining properly. The drain was clogged and he recommended that we get a plumber to correct the connection for the drain under the sink. We contacted Strain Plumbing and scheduled an appointment. Alex and Jeremiah arrived on time and were quick to find the problem. They corrected the problem with the drain and had covered the work area so that water and debris from the pipe did not get in the cabinet or on the floor. They tested the drain to be sure that water was flowing properly from the air conditioner and everything worked perfectly. Thanks to Alex and Jeremiah for the excellent work they did! We highly recommend Strain Plumbing for quality work at a reasonable price.

They were able to schedule a time within a few days. They showed up on time, and the work was completed quickly and competently. They had no problem using the replacement faucets that I provided. The price I was charged was within the range quoted on the phone. I would definitely hire them again.

They are lousy with their communication. They failed to help with any problems. Their "Master Plumber" left before understanding the full problem. I get a call from the city a few days after talking with them asking if I am permitted. I have never had as such bad communication from someone that actually did show up.

Our plumbing work stemmed from some foundation issues requiring inspection under our 60 year old pier and beam house. During the inspection the foundation inspector noticed a leak coming from one commode. This prompted a more thorough inspection. Along with the leak, corrosion of the original galvanized supply lines was found. There were no leaks coming from supply lines, but a burst pipe was likely in the not too distant future. I got a couple of repair estimates and decided to go with Strain plumbing. Their estimate was slightly lower, but I also got a better feeling from the two men who showed up, Alex and Jeremiah. They were polite, professional and friendly and had a good attitude, making me feel they like to help people enjoy their work and my business was appreciated. The initial inspection took about 45 minutes and bid a couple of days to be prepared. All hot and cold supply lines were to be replaced starting from front of the house and going to all the fixtures and water heater. The work was scheduled to start the next week. I met Alex and Jeremiah the first day, then went on to work. Each day they laid plastic and drop clothes to create a path from the front door to the two access panels under the house. At the end of each day they picked up the drop clothes and cleaned up. The job took 3 days. They worked and made connections in stages so that each day if the water had been turned off at main supply to make connection to fixtures, it was back on when we got home from work. We had no periods without water during the 3 days, which was appreciated. This was really a preventative measure to head off impending leaks, so I didn’t really expect anything other than a little peace of mind for my outlay of money. However, they insulated all the new pipes and cleaned a couple of faucets along the way. I was pleasantly surprised with both increased water pressure and hotter water. I was pleased with the work, my dealings with the office and attitude of the two employees I met. They seemed to have a great work ethic and respect for me as a customer and my property. The initial bid was accurate with no additional charges. Strain will be my first call for any future plumbing needs.

They were on time, honest and did quality work. My father also used them to install a kitchen faucet and garbage disposal. Same pleasant experience. It's nice we are able to find good honest companies like this.. Thanks guys!.

They did the job for far less than a large Dallas/Ft. Worth plumbing company had quoted. We like to use local businesses when possible and our experience with Mr. Strain and his employees was excellent. They were on time, answered all my questions, and performed the work in less time than originally quoted.

The technician showed up early and knew exactly what the problem was. He fixed the problem on three faucets in about 20 minutes. Now I have hot water, no more tepid showers.

I bought a coupon from Angie's for one hour for $100 and set an appointment. The plumbers came out and promptly fixed my issue. They even sent a thank you card. Very nice.

Water had pooled up on the livingroom floor. I called and left a message before they opened and they called back as soon as they opened. The master plumber was here to diagnose the problem by 10am. Then he left and someone else was out by about 2pm to do the work. They had to cut a hole in the wall to access the drain because it was out of reach. Snaked the drain, replaced the plumbing pipes, and cleaned up their mess! They were very quick, efficient, professional, and friendly, and at a fair price to boot! I will definitely use them again.

I was referred to Strain Plumbing by someone I knew, looked them up on Angie?s List, and then made an appointment with them. They were supposed to come between 10 and 11 today. At 10:30 I noticed I had not hear from them and thought I should call them. At that time I realized I missed their call. I called Strain Plumbing and apologize for missing the call. I was told that their policy is that if you do not answer the phone, your appointment is skipped, because they don?t want their workers driving to empty homes. This is understandable. I asked if I could make another appointment. The lady on the phone then proceeded to scold me for not answering the phone. Several times she told me, ?All this could be avoided if you would have answered the phone.? I again apologized for not answering the phone and explained I did not appreciate being told off over this. The lady on the phone hung up on me! I called back. A new person answered the phone. I explained that someone had just hung up on me. I was informed that I was speaking to the owner, Martha. It is unbelievable that the owner was the one providing such poor customer service. I asked to speak to Martha. I told her it is unacceptable to hang up on someone. She denied hanging up, which was a lie. She continued to be confrontational. I told her this was not going to work out, and I would be working with a different plumber. After my conversation with Martha I called my phone carrier to verify my cell phone had not dropped the call. The call was NOT dropped, and I did NOT hang up. That leaves one option; Martha (who is an owner of the company) was not truthful with me.

I was expecting serious drain problems in this 48 year old house. Rick Strain came the day we called and evaluated the problem as most likely build-up in the drains that could be cleaned. Possibly, more serious drain problems, but Rick recommended starting with a simple cleaning of both drains. I didn't know that it was possible to clean the laundry room drain since there was no clean-out opening. Rick said that they should be able to clean it using the roof vent. We scheduled an appointment for the next week and his guys showed up on time and did the work quickly. From the condition of the cleaning tool, they said it was just build up of grease over the years and the pipes seemed to be OK. We've used the drains for several days with no problems at all. Very pleased with the service. We've used Strain Plumbing before and we will be using them again!!!

I have used this company before. I contacted them on Monday regarding a leaking kitchen faucet and set up an appt. for Wednesday from1 to 3 PM. When I had not heard from them by 3 on the set day, I called to ask an ETA. (Good customer service would mean that they would have called me a bit before 3, instead of the other way around.) I was told that they were in Keller running late. Keller is 30 minutes from my house in most cases. She did offer to call and see how much longer it would be--by then, it didn't matter-I was stuck waiting regardless. I called at 3:25 and cancelled. I took off work for a certain time period and I expect that they know their business well enough to allot the correct amount of time for each job and then call the next customers if they are running late. I got no apology in either phone call, which should have been the first words out of the mouth of someone who cares about customer service. On a past visit, they used DAP to try to glue down an overmount sink to granite. The next real professional I hired said, "Everyone knows DAP won't stick to granite." Everyone except Strain Plumbing. If your time is valuable and you expect good customer service-go elsewhere.

The quality of service was very good.

I spoke to Martha Strain on the phone regarding what I thought was a broken pipe. She set up a same-day appointment to fix it. While on the phone, she also walked me through steps to diagnose it in advance, and we discovered that it was caused by rainwater, not plumbing. She referred me to a restoration company and a gutter company instead. I'm so thankful that she was so honest and thorough over the phone, and saved us the trip charge. We will definitely be calling them next time we have a plumbing issue. Thank you Strain Plumbing!

They new want they were doing. They had to work in my flower bed and did not hurt any of my plants. They left the area as they found it.

The initial conversation with the lady who answered the telephone became very complicated as she misunderstood the nature of the problem and I had to email the company to clarify what was needed. The plumbers who came to do the work were very professional and completed the job very quickly.

The first visit only quick scan through and didn't do anything. Just said needs send someone else come. Wait almost two weeks for scheduling and then repair the shower leaking behind the wall. They open a small hole and found the leaking from shower head connecting area. Overall is good, but the first visit should already fix it and not sure why wait for another visit.?

The had to open up the wall behind the shower to replace the valve for the shower. As usual they did an excellent job and cleaned up after the job. I have used them before and will continue to call them.

Two of the jobs went very well and I decided to put off the shower head issue to contact the manufacturer. The techs that came out, Alex and Jeremiah were on time, very pleasant and efficient. However, the final job, replacing the outdoor faucet, was not at all what I expected. What was a flush mounted outdoor faucet with a slight drip, was now replaced with a faucet that stuck out from the wall by at least 3 to 4 inches. Rather than to be flush mounted, sweated on and properly mortared in place, it was wrapped with foam insulation and secured with duct tape, which was already starting to peel as it got wet. I told the techs that I have rehabbed multiple homes over 30+ years and have never seen this type of repair on a residential property and that I found it to be unacceptable. They told me their company always does it this way and they were just doing what Strain Plumbing instructed them to do. I called the company and eventually spoke with one of the owners, Martha, who became very defensive and took an attitude that bordered on insulting. At day's end, they did come out and re-install the faucet. Though it was mostly flush mounted, it still had some foam insulation with caulking rather than mortar to seal the gap. Although they did give me a discounted price I still ended up paying extra for the additional repair. My issue with this company is not with the guys that did the repairs but with the fact that their "master plumber", who I never saw or spoke to, deemed that it was acceptable to have a faucet on a north wall, stick out 3-4inches with only 99 cent foam insulation and duct tape to keep is from freezing ... not to mention that it looked like something one would find in a barn! It only added insult to injury to deal with the owners attitude.
