MIDNIGHT HOUR MOVING

If I could give a negative 100 rating I would. The movers did not wrap my brand new $1,200 leather couch & now it is destroyed. The company said they would give me $90 in compensation. That is complete bull****. My couch is ruined. It's been nearly 3 months since my move and I have yet to receive my measly reimbursement check in the mail. I have emailed and called daily for the progress about this check. The accountant (which is the owner's wife) stated that I would be charged a $35 fee to do a stop payment on the check. Which would leave my reimbursement total of only $55. They are careless because they can get away with it. And the owners condone their poor customer service, because even they have poor customer service. Kika, the owner's wife, stated that my couch isn't ruined because "it's still usable". Just because I can sit on my couch, apparently means that it's not ruined & therefore condoned her movers and her behavior. All I can say is WOW. This is unbelievable. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!!!

Their guys arrived when they said they would and moved our stuff quickly and competently. They didn't waste time and were very courteous. They were careful to listen to our instructions and to do everything the way we wanted it done. All of our things arrived in good shape and the move took less time than we thought it would. Nice job! Horrible. Move 1: Movers were constantly bickering and one of them walked away for 45 minutes. Move 2: 3 hours late-They sent an extra guy to make up for it but boxes were put upside down which were marked FRAGILE IN BIG LETTERS, items were broken and went missing. COMPLETELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. BROKEN CHAIRS, FRIDGE DOORS BROKEN, ELLIPTICAL MACHINE BROKEN AND SEVERAL COLLECTIBLE STATUES THAT CAN NOT BE REPLACED. Called on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and asked to speak to Marcus and was told he would call back-3 days later...No call back. Team has made it very difficult to get my items repaired and the only thing I asked for was for the chairs and fridge to be fixed and I would cover the rest of the items out of pocket. I filled out the claims form as asked and sent pictures to Kika even though Chris Lynch documented it all when he was here.

We have used Midnight Hour Movers 2 other times in the past and we love them! If we ever move again they are who we will call! They are very professional and fast!

I would hire this company again in a heartbeat, From the initial telephone contact to the end of the job it was flawless. The guys were professional, friendly and fast. Everything went exactly the way they told me it would and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The lady in their office was totally awesome on the phone. She walked me through what would happen and when.....and that's exactly how it went down If there is a perfect move this was it.

I found them on Angie’s List. It was a pretty big job. They were very good. They were very courteous and very professional.

It was a trouble fr ee move in a horrible situation

The movers arrived within the specified window of time. I received a call giving me a very specific time for arrival. They arrived within a few minutes of that time. The two moving guys were very professional and completed the move efficiently. I am completely satisfied with their service.

A friend recommended them to me. They charge by the hour. 2 guys showed up and it was for 3 hours. They will do whatever you ask them to. They were very punctual and I have used them twice. They stuck to the estimate price and they were in and out. They were very competitive with price. They were courteous and conscientious. The quality was very good.

I had no problem with the set up for the job. The woman on the phone was very polite and helpful. I had to meet the movers at World Market to show my receipt so they could pick up the items I had bought. It all started very well until they got to my home. I had one of the movers ask me if I lived all by myself, being a woman that is not acceptable. They assembled some bookshelves and put two of the shelves in upside down. The other unit of the same type of bookshelf was done correctly, they just left the one they had done wrong. When they were finished they told me there was a surcharge of $50 ta take away the trash left over. When I spoke to the woman on the phone initially, she said it was included. I refused to pay the money and they then told me I could pay them $40 on the side to take it. I again refused. I did not care for that at all. They did load some of the left over cardboard into my vehicle and told me they did so because I didn't have a husband. I did not enjoy nor will I use this company again, ever. They creeped me out and I felt like they were lazy. They were trying to take advantage of a single woman who they thought had money.

They were wonderful! They were very pleasant and conversational, and checked that they were moving things into the correct rooms. Punctual (they showed up not five minutes after the start of the window that they gave us) and professional. I would definitely hire them again!

I confirmed the date and time via email and phone two days before the move and they didn't bother to show up. The girl I spoke to on the phone was very hateful and unprofessional and did not even apologize for their ignorance. Then I got a call a day later asking how my move went. Seriously.

It went very well, they did a really good job.

This is the second time I used this company for a move of mine. The guys they send out are very nice and pleasant to work with. They are punctual and will perform any work you ask that is typical to a move. However, I have to say, my belongings suffered more damage than I would expect. I did not expect everything to make it unscathed, but there are a lot of scratch marks on furniture and more than a few boxes with fragile items in them that broke. Probably the thing that upset me the most was that a support leg was completely broken off a media console. Rather than tell me about it, it was tossed inside the piece of furniture and concealed from me. This could have been done when I was originally moved out of the old house or when I was moved into the new one, but either way, I used the same company for both. I don't really blame the company itself. At least one of the movers was just trying to avoid getting into trouble and probably hid it from everyone. I haven't called the company yet to give them the opportunity to make it right, so I cannot comment here on their reaction as of yet. At any rate, this occurrence is really the only bad mark I give them.

I did not have a good experience with this company. To start, they brought a trailer instead of a truck and ultimately the trailer had trouble transporting my belongings and getting up to highway speed. They did not have a dolly with them so they had to carry my things which slowed the process immensely. I stopped the move because of how long it was taking and therefore several things left behind that I had to move on my own. When they got to my new place, they did not handle the boxes very delicately. After they left I noticed that at least half of the boxes were placed upside down and I had a really hard time unpacking them. I felt like they were very unprepared and they made my move more difficult than it should have been.

Went smooth, they showed up on time. They also climbed up in my attic and brought down some heavy items I couldn't get to myself.

We used this company to move about 6 months ago. We were hoping that getting a 4-man crew would work out better than the 2 or 3 men we usually hire. They got there pretty close to on time, and communicated with us well, but didn't wrap almost anything. They even had a stack of moving blankets, and even when we asked them to wrap, they didn't wrap. One guy took one end table, flipped it and stacked it on the other end table, and carried them out like that (nothing between them). So many pieces of furniture are damaged - our desk that we got at Bombay (that is now irreplaceable), our bed, our armoire, the coffee table, both end tables, the entertainment center, cat trees... almost every piece of furniture they touched has been banged up in some way. The armoire doesn't open or close correctly anymore. Thank god we moved our own TVs and computers. Mostly the cardboard boxes survived but they put them all over the place in random rooms even though they were clearly labeled. (We went through great pains to label each box with a 4x6 sticker of which room it belonged in, and it was almost totally disregarded.) They had an inspector come out and act all nice in person, and then we got the claim report where they denied more than half of our claims. Our washer and dryer set were immaculate, but she said they didn't damage them because "she knows that this scratch has been there." No, I know what scratch has been there, not you. We are a family of 2 in a 3 bedroom house and had them use two trucks to make sure we had enough room to do it all in one trip. They still ran out of room (because everything was so rushed and disorganized) and just threw our gas grill upside down in the back of the truck, puncturing the top of the grill because the grates were just flying around everywhere. They worked quickly and hustled, but what is the point if all your furniture will be damaged? A lot of this stuff can't be replaced.

Worst move ever, that is all that needs to be said

.I had an appointment for 9-12, I received a call advising it would be late in the window for Chas and Ray to arrive. They arrived within the window and loaded everything I asked, and were very efficient. Completed the move within 2 hours...They are a great team. I had a special request... a Marlin to be moved... Chas and Ray both looked a little nervous... Chas explained it would not be covered by the insurance.. I agreed. They made basically a bed for the Marlin to ride over... they were terrific! I can't thank them both enough, he arrived with no injuries...Chas and Ray were extremely professional... could not have asked for better treatment and service.

Excellent job done by this company. I needed this help due to an elbow injury that prevented me from lifting items. They were very professional right from the start when I called to schedule the service. The person who took my call gave me clear details on what the movers can do and what the charges were. On the day of the appointment, I got prompt phone calls from Marcus updating me on when they could be here. He even offered having them come sooner although I was unable to take that offer since I had a prior appointment. The movers arrived promptly on time and were very professional. They first went through the list of jobs I had for them and then promptly got started on doing them. Each job was done to our specifications and without any damage. They were also flexible enough to re-do the crib when my wife changed her mind on the height setting. The shoe bench took them a bit longer than anticipated but they eventually got it right. Overall we were extremely pleased with their work and I would highly recommend this company. I would definitely use this provider in the future.

The crew arrived at 11:15 AM for a 10:00 AM to 12:00PM time slot. When they arrived the crew leader said he wanted to take a look around the house and then once he was done the clock would start.(they work on a per hour basis, no trip charges!) Once we explained how we had separated the items we wanted put into storage and the items we wanted delivered to the apartment the two man crew started to work, let me be clear here, ONCE THEY STARTED THEY DID NOT STOP, these two guys were constant motion either moving furniture and boxes to the truck or arranging items on the truck so they would be safe and secure during the trip. Even though the move was only cross town, they treated our belongings as if they were going to be driving them across the country. We could not have been more pleased with the professionalism these two young men displayed while dealing with our belongings, the home we were moving out of, the apartment we were moving into or my wife and I as individuals. We feel that the time that these men took to wrap all of our belongings in plastic and moving blankets was well worth it, everything arrived in the same condition that it was packed in. We have a 10x15 storage building that is full and I am confident that when we move those items to our new home in the spring they will be in the same condition that we packed them before the move. I want to make sure that the owners/managers of this company know what type of employees these two young men are, at about 2:30 pm we were at the storage facility, they were unloading when my wife made a run to Subway to get sandwiches. When she came back I told the guys they were more than welcome to stop for 15 minutes to eat, I understood that it was on the clock and that I was OK with paying for them to take a quick break to eat lunch. THEY REFUSED TO STOP WORKING. The continued to unload what needed to be unloaded at the storage facility and when we headed to the apartment they began to eat the sandwiches in the truck as we drove from one location to the next. I was very impressed. I was willing to pay for that 15 minute increment while they ate due to the fact that they worked so hard the entire time. They showed respect for my time and my money by not eating during a time that they could be working and chose to eat during the drive time. Based on the level of service that we were provided we will be calling Midnight Hour again in the spring when we move back to Flower Mound. Thank you for making this difficult time just a bit smoother.

Everything went great except the movers were late and did not call. When I called them the reason was that one of the movers had called in sick and they were working on getting a replacement. From that point the movers arrived shortly and got everything done quickly and professionally. Nothing got broken or damaged in any way. The men were nice and did not waste time. As I watched I gained confidence that my belongings were being handled with care, I would recommend this company and thank Angie's List for providing their name.

It went pretty well. They were on time, professional, and relatively efficient. We were told 2 guys would be enough, that we didn't need 3. I couldn't disagree more, as we were in a high rise, a 3rd person could have cut the move time in 1/2. They did a pretty good job, all the furniture was in good condition. They didn't re-assemble everything at our house, i'm not sure why (I wasn't there), but that's my main concern.

Let me just start off by saying how please I was with this moving company. They move me from Dallas to Austin in no time. The two gentlemen that help me move were Sal and Randle and if you could request them you will be very please. They were both at my place on time in fact they got there early. They took good care of my belonging and anything that had the word Fragile. Everything got here in perfect conditions!! I would encourage you to use Midnight Hour Moving if you are moving out of town or local. I'm truly HAPPY!!!!!

It went awful. They were not timely and they did things that I told them not to. I am an artist and have many art supplies and galleries. They did not know how to pack these items. I have numerous peices of stained glass that are broken. Also, the trumpet is broken of the largest angel that I own. It was so beautiful and it breaks my heart that it is now broken. They did not wrap the desk and many papers fell out the back. There were some important documents that I need and I still do not know where some of them are. There are scratches and chips on many of my expensive furniture including an antique chair and a leather chair. They did not pack anything well or wrap many of the items that needed it. They did not wrap the jewelry box and I cannot find one 14 k gold earring and the other one has been stepped on. They kept complaining that I had so much stuff. The picture frames are scratched and the expensive one is chipped. The finished and an employee offered to work extra hours to finish. He rented a trailor to move everything and I paid him $325 extra to finish. I gave him a key to the house and he has not given the key back yet. Also, I cannot get the receipt for the trailor so I can pay.
