This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. The movers never showed up at the original time I spoke with the owner about. He put the blame on my that I didn’t give the addresses but no one followed up with me. Had I known this was an issue I would have fixed it. He didn’t accept any responsibility nor did he apologize. They were able to squeeze us in that afternoon which was. The movers did not even bring tools to take down/put back up furniture, my husband had to do it all. They didn’t even fit all of our stuff in the moving truck so now we have to make a ton of trips to get this to our new house. I also keep finding things that they have damaged. The movers were super nice and I had originally planned to still leave a decent review because I get it, things happen but this has been terrible. Ah, they also backed the truck into the basketball goal at our old house.

Second Time Good as the First! Used Luke's January 9th after googling them and reading various reviews. As a resident of Hurst we are encouraged to "Shop First in Hurst!" They did a great job but would thy do as good the second time when returning everything to the house? Yes. It was 2 different guys but very good at their job. They were through before the 2 hour minimum was up so helped this 70 Year Old Woman with rearranging furniture and putting stick on pads I purchased on the bottom of all the furniture to protect my new floors. Used them twice in 30 days, would definitely use them again.

The whole process went smoothly. Great service from friendly and professional movers! They arrived on time and ready to work. Thank you Luke, Holly, Chris, Tracy and Dennis!

They were not the cheapest ones at all.

It went AMAZING. We could not have imagined a better move. All the guys showed up on time and moved incredibly fast. They disassembled various furniture and reassembled it if we desired. They properly wrapped all of our belongings and breakables better than we would have. We have a plasma TV and they took great care of it and instructed us that it can't lay on it's side. (We didn't even know that) We could have ruined it ourselves. Whoops! My parents came over to watch and just help if we needed them and they were amazed as well. Both my parents kept saying if they ever move they will use their service. I have since referred everyone I know to use them because they were so great. They are not the cheapest but they are fair priced in the industry and price is not the only consideration when choosing movers. I recommended them to my sister and she chose a cheaper option and now she is dealing with marked up walls and lots of broken things. I definitely reccommend Lukes and will use them again if we ever move again!

I was very pleased with their service. The van was at my storage facility on time and loaded contents on van and took them to my home. They moved furniture from a garage apartment to make room for the stored furniture and arranged items from the storage unit into "give aways" vs "keepers". Then moved and rearranged other furniture in the house (some to garage and some to other rooms). They were efficient and careful and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

They were nice but not super efficient.

Am now almost done unpacking all their boxes. Horrible! Some of the most expensive items not packed well, and seemingly thrown into boxes. Bolts from bottom of my sewing machine sticking through the box, then stacked who knows how or where, so now the nuts don't fit on the machine. An extremely fragile piece (actually several) barely wrapped and packed under heavy items. Found kitchen things in an outside yard tool box. Etc. I would never use them again.

The crew showed up on time. They wrapped my furniture in blankets and shrink wrap. They moved my stuff without damage. They did leave some trash in my yard for me to pick up. I would use them again.

These guys were great. Their truck had a flat on the way to my apt, but they called to let me know and kept me updated. They were very careful with my furniture, some of which was very old and had sentimental value. Everything was wrapped and padded and secured inside the truck. They dropped off some items at a storage unit first and then at my house. Nothing was damaged and they even put paper padding down on the floor of the storage unit to protect the items I put in there. The price was very reasonable and the guys were very friendly. I highly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Chris, Luke, and all their guys were great. Our house sold much quicker than we expected, so our moving schedule (and destination) changed a few times. We ended up packing everything we owned and moving it ourselves into a large shop at our old house. Luke had given me a quote for a single move, but sent two guys out to help us move the heavy stuff into the shop and included it in his original price. Once we settled on a house and a moving date, 2 huge trucks and 6 guys showed up on time and worked like a precision machine loading those trucks. I was amazed at how much they got into one truck without a trace of damage. One of their trucks had a slight oil leak and they were considerate enough to put an old moving blanket down to protect the drives. Very polite and hardworking gentleman that we have already used again to move a large dinette set we bought after we were moved into our new house. Should be Luke's A+++++ Moving because that's the grade we give them.

We read the reviews and everybody said they were very professional, timely and they were every bit of it. The people was just wonderful.

Luke himself comes to do the estimates. This estimate was easy because they had just moved us nine months earlier and we hadn't acquired much else and had rid ourselves of a few things. Luke gave us a price to pack and move and just move. Because of our employment situations, we chose to save the money and pack ourselves. The price to pack was reasonable, but we elected to do it ourselves. Luke's packed us last time and NOT A SINGLE THING was broken. We planned for them to pack us up on a Tuesday in Tyler and deliver on a Friday in Columbia. Chris, Dean, Justin and MJ arrived on time on Tuesday morning and got right to work. Chris is a magician packing a truck. I don't think people appreciate how difficult that is, especially two 24 foot trucks. He's excellent. Dean, MJ and Justin busted it for 6 hours packing up. They take great care to wrap things, etc. They are a phenomenally polite and respectfully crew. I knew Dean from our last move and have such trust in them that I left the house to run a few errands while they packed. Chris and Justin arrived on time in Columbia and again got right to work. They moved things into the rooms we requested and took great care to assemble things. Again, I can't say enough about the work they do. I cannot recommend them highly enough. This is how a moving company should be run, from Luke on down. They return calls, they show up on time, they treat you well and, while moving is expensive, you feel like you got value for your money.

It went very well. Anthony,Jason, Ryan, Guitar John, and Mike R. Were really committed to being very careful with our belongings. They were prompt, asked us all of the relevant questions and got the job done very efficiently. We were very pleased with the service and will use them again.

Dean & John were on time for both the loading & unloading. They were prepared- took care of our things- wrapping them carefully (lots of glass doors on furniture) all in good time of everything in good condition. Also very pleasant.

Several pieces of furniture were damaged during the move. They stained our brand new carpet and damaged the hardwood floors on our staircase. Luke is working with us to fix all of the damages, but I would not use or recommend their services.

I was very skeptical about using a moving company after reading some of the reviews of other companies but Luke's A+ Moving Company had great reviews and we were not disappointed. Setting up our appointment for the move was perfect and I called at least 3 or 4 times with questions since we'd never used movers before. Each time I was given all the information I needed. . There were no hidden or addtional costs. Bryan P. and Mike D. were right on time or maybe even a little early and completed the move in 3 hours. They never stopped working the entire time. Both were friendly, professional and careful with everything. Lukes A+ Moving Company made moving so much smoother and we will definitley call them again.

They were professional, careful, courteous and timely. They did it all cheerfully and were thoughtful with my elderly mother who was a bit confused by all the rushing and the move. Would definitely use them again.

The moving team was prompt, efficient, and professional. They wrapped our furniture pieces very nicely for storage. We have used Luke's A+ moving for almost 10 years for all of our personal moving needs, as well as office moving needs. Luke runs a great company, and we would never use any one else.

Luke personally came to estimate the job. He was 1/3 cheaper than the other estimates I'd received. Also his estimate was a fixed cost. If the time or labor ran over, it was not to be charged to me. He was courteous and I would say patient with my questions and concerns. This was a rush job. He came on Wednesday for a inter-city move on the following Tuesday. Finally he asked to be paid by check or credit card (+3%) AFTER the move was completed. No deposit up front. That was special and no other mover I contacted made that offer. Most wouldn't take credit cards at all. (In the event, I paid by check.) On Tuesday the 3-man crew - Chris, Scott, and Javier - showed up and unloaded the house very professionally in 3 hours which was the estimated time. The move included a difficult piece, a treadmill on the second floor, which they did carefully without incident and without disassembly. (The treadmill worked fine in the new location.) After they left, we drove to New Braunfels and they kept everything in Euless in the same truck overnight. On Wednesday they did arrive late. They had scheduled 11am and didn't arrive until 2pm. They did call several times to let us know where they were. The same crew came, minus Javier. In discussing the estimate Luke agreed that 2 men could move into the house while it took 3 to move out, since the treadmill was going to the 1st floor. That meant only 2 men needed to make the 11 hour round-trip ride from McKinney to New Braunfels and saved me money. The other movers insisted on 3 men at both ends. The move-in took about three hours, which was as estimated. At both ends the movers worked efficiently and productively. I don't think another 3-person team would have done it any faster. I'm writing this three weeks after the move. (Is that all?) So far we have found nothing missing and nothing damaged. Frankly I was dreading the move and expecting all kinds of unexpected expenses, damages, and hassles. None of that happened and I was most relieved and grateful. I recommend Luke's A+ Moving without hesitation or qualification.

Movers arrived 30 minutes late. Movers were generally hard working & detailed in work. They wrapped items & moved everything asked. Were a little slow in breaking down & putting together some furniture. They damaged one piece of office furniture. Polite & well mannered crew.

First of all, for those that are not aware, the moving business is frought with fraudulent providers. You MUST do your research before selecting a mover or you run a very high risk of being ripped off. Based on a recommendation and reviews on Angie's list, I called Luke and met him to review my move and receive a proposal. It is great to see a hardworking entrepreneur like Luke succeed. He is professional, very honest, and a great guy to talk football with! On moving day, his crew (Chris, Justin, Scott, Javier, and Dean) showed up on time, in uniform, with two clean trucks. Everyone was very polite and went out of their way to be helpful. Knowing that they were "on the clock", they asked before taking a 5 minute break and hustled almost non-stop for ten hours. These guys were awesome and took great care of our things and our home. There were only a few "oops" (stained carpet, a chipped wall, and a scraped wood floor) but this is minor given the size of this move. Luke's proposal guaranteed not to charge me for more than nine hours. Even though the job took ten hours, I was only charged the agreed price. I highly recommend Luke's to anyone looking for moving services. These guys are the best in the business!

Moses, Mike D., and Scott were on time, polite and very efficient. They were very careful and did a great job. I have used another mover six times previously and I will now use Luke's. Thank you Moses, Mike D., and Scott for a job well done.

This was the worst moving experience ever. A move of hardly one mile, no stairs, just storeroom to storeroom, that should have taken three hours, tops, turned into six-hours of horrors that didn't end until after midnight. My appointment time was 1-2 p.m. No one showed. No one called. We finally called them and were told the movers were running late but would be there by 4 p.m. By 4:30, no show, no calls. We called again and again and kept getting different times and different excuses. The movers finally called to say they were at the address and waiting for us. We knew they weren't because WE were at the storage place and the address on the order form was correct. They finally showed up at 6:30 p.m. and began work. I sat and watched them in distress. Boxes clearly marked FRAGILE in large red letters were crushed beneath boxes that I knew contained books I know the contents of some, if not many, of those marked boxes are damaged or destroyed now. But the movers had arrived so late and there were so many boxes to move, time had to take precedent over my property. Besides, the damage was done and I didn't think the movers would work any faster or any better if I objected to the abuse of my property. The storage place locks the gates at 9 p.m. At 8:45 p.m., the storeroom still wasn't empty and clearly wouldn't be in time. My three friends and I had to scramble to grab stuff and throw it in our cars to avoid getting locked in for the night. I had a hard time trying to move stuff because I'm disabled in both legs and not supposed to be lifting more than 10 pounds. We made it through the gate at 8:59 p.m. The new storage place we were moving everything to had locked its gates at 6 p.m. Fortunately for us, we'd realized long before that we wouldn't make it in time and arranged for after-hours access. Because of an unforeseeable problem, we had had to change our destination address on the day of the move. We gave the movers the new address, drew them a map, and told them to follow our cars to the new storage place hardly a mile away. We all drove up the road the intersection. Our cars turned left. The moving truck went straight ahead. Fifteen minutes later, while we were standing around in the new, empty storeroom wondering what had happened to the truck, we got a phone call from the movers. They'd decided to get themselves some dinner. At 10 p.m., an hour after they disappeared, we called the movers to ask why they still hadn't shown up. It turns out they'd ignored our map and the new address and gone to the wrong place, miles away. They finally turned up at the right storage place about 10:45 p.m. It was midnight before everything was finally off the truck and haphazardly piled up in the new storeroom. Whatever wasn't damaged in the loading was probably damaged in the unloading. I can't get to the boxes marked FRAGILE to open them and inspect the damage because they're all buried, and I can't move a box weighing more than 10 pounds. Despite the incredibly ridiculous late hour they finally showed up, the slow, poorly done work, the lack of communication, and the inexcusable delay in finishing the job, the movers demanded $475, far more than I'd been quoted, and far more than the work was worth. NO apologies for all the trouble we'd been put through, no explanations for the delays, nothing good at all. Before hiring this mover, I read all the stellar reviews and the sole negative F review. I really thought all the A's outweighed the one F and that it must have been just one extraordinary bad experience. I was so wrong.
