We had trouble when we tried to do the replacement. The recommendations would have been better to get. Usually you have to wait and they don't tell you when they can deliver things.
Description of Work: We had to replace a refrigerator.

They were prompt, fixed it and were punctual. They kept my computer for a week. I took my computer once and they said it was done, but when I got it back home the same thing happened again. I then took it back to them and they had my laptop for over a week. They are very busy and people who take your computer do not care. They do not render personalizedcare and my experience has been satisfactory. The quality was good as they put in so many parts. I will use them again, because they did fix it.
Description of Work: I used the services of Best Buy for computer repair about 2 years ago.

1) He did away with the pop-ups 2) Email was fixed and he set me up on GMAIL 3) When I get my emails from another computer - I only get old emails and addresses. 4) After he left I started getting another email pop-up. I called the 800 number and the person said the current pop-up was not caused by his work
Description of Work: I had three situations I wanted corrected; 1) Do away with some pop-up that were occurring. 2) My email was not working efficiecently. 3) Set up computer so I could get my emails when out of time.10

Salesperson assisted me in the selection by demonstrating units in which I indicated my interest. Friendly, informative but not quite as knowledgable as I would have preferred but we got through it because I did have the knowledge base. At check-out the clerk questioned my use of debit and said I could pay interest free for six months with their current program and I could break up the payments so that I didn't have a thousand come out of my pocket all at once. It sounded good, I did it and paid it off in three installments and was happy with it. However, a small problem with the unit arose after about a month, maybe less, and I returned it and got a new one that visit. Later, after the "interest free" payments had been completed for a couple of months or more, I received call from Best Buy stating that I still owed money and collections may be in order. I referred the individual to MY documentation of three equal payments, their dates, etc.. BUT, he stated, I had failed to pay the RESTOCKING FEE when I got my replacement. Restocking? They replaced a bad product! My fault for not reading the fine print (because the fine print is there) - I paid. But... I feel like I've been ripped-off. If the "restocked" the laptop, with a bad port, is resold it to another customer who brings it back, gets a replacement, pays another "restocking" fee... I'll not buy anything else at Best Buy.
Description of Work: Puchased a laptop computer and an additional case with intent on paying cash (debit) at the register.

THE BEST BUY EMPLOYEES DID A VERY GOOD JOB. THEY GAVE ME ANOTHER REMOTE CONTROL AND NOW THE VOLUME OF THE TV IS PERFECT. THE CLERKS ARE VERY PREPARED TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS.

WHEN I TOOK THE CPU IN THEY FIRST CHECKED TO SEE IF IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY - IT WAS NOT. THEY TOOK THE UNIT, DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND QUOTED ME A REPAIR PRICE. THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE AND I AUTHORIZED THE REPAIR. REPAIRS WERE MADE PRIOR TO THE ESTIMATED DUE DATE, SO I WAS PLEASED WITH THEIR PERFORMANCE.
Description of Work: AN ELECTRICAL STORM HAD MADE MY COMPUTER INOPERABLE. I TOOK IT TO BEST BUY FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. THE OPERATING SYSTEM HAD TO BE REPLACED AND THEY PERFORMED THE SERVICE.
