I had a number of people come and put in a bid for the job, but this was the one that was the most professional and he seemed to know the most about what he was doing, plus all the positive feedback we had about them was what made me go ahead and choose them for the job. He was booked up so I had to wait an additional month for him to actually do the work, but I felt so comfortable with him that I decided to wait for him. He did a fantastic job; it was better than I expected. It looks wonderful and I am extremely happy with the work. He came out when he said he was going to come out, and he left when he said he was going to leave. They cleaned up after themselves really well. He had come up with his price a month ago and I had gone ahead and come up with a price of what I thought it was going to cost after his quote, and then he came up with his final cost, and it was to the penny. I would absolutely use them again in the future if I needed to.

Went great! After contacting Doug for an estimate, he promptly arrived and we discussed the various options. When I made my decision, it did take a while to get it done as his schedule was fairly booked, an issue I didn't have a problem with. The day before the scheduled installation date, he did call to say he was running a couple of days behind and would like to reschedule for 48 hours later. Not a problem. Our main concern was how we were going to pay him since we had to work on that particular day. He indicated he would just leave the bill and we could mail it in. How strange does that sound! Well, on the day of installation, we turned into our road and was expecting to see a work truck in the driveway. Nope. Nothing except the bill on the front door! The wife and I were like kids on Christmas morning waiting to see what we got! Went our back and saw the most beautiful fence and the wife was excited to try out her new gate!As you get older, it's the little things in life that make a difference I suppose. We are very impressed. We have called him to arrange to have the metals posts "boxed in" as I don't really like to see metal posts on this nice fence. He did have the fence stained and treated as I asked. Now I'll have to get the last little portion of fence replaced at a later date.

I spoke with in regards to an estimate for replacing a fence. Doug was quick to call me back to set up an appointment. Doug was running late but called to advise of the delay, which I appreciated. I think that shows a lot about his professionalism and character. The fence sits on an incline and unfortunately some concrete work was needing to be done. Although Doug doesn't provide that type of work, he was up front about the concrete and that ito do the fence correctly a retaining/cement wall would be needed. I appreciate Doug being honest on what he thought for the fence to be right. He did provide a couple of names for fencing companies that did work with concrete. Although Doug wasn't able to bid on my fence, my next neighbor was needing some fence work done and talked with Doug about an estimate, which stayed and did work up an estimate for my neighbor. Again, I think this shows a lot of Doug's professionalism. If, in the future I need additional fence work done I would not hesitate calling Doug.

Our experience with Fenceworks was great. Doug, the owner, was very helpful and patient with us while we made decisions about the type of fence we wanted. He came out to estimate the project about a week after we had contacted him and told us if we went with him, he could do the work in a week to a week and a half. We decided to go with this company because they really know fences and we felt comfortable that they would do the best job for us. They came out on a Monday and were finished by Wednesday afternoon. Throughout the project, Doug was there for most of the project (90%). This made us happy because he knew exactly what we wanted. He was very good about asking our opinions on what we wanted before we just made a decision. Before the project, he came to our house to let us see stain sample colors and take our time deciding on that. When they were done, they left everything very nice and clean. Overall, they did a wonderful job and we love our new fence. We will definitely use them in the future for any type of fence work we need.

After leaving a message, I received a call back from Doug within an hour or two regarding the minor fence repair needed. Doug stated they were pretty busy for the next few weeks, but would put me down on the schedule and call if something opened before then. I received a call only 3 days later and he was able to give me a quote over the phone to remove and replace a post and stain the new one. The next day two of his guys came out-super nice and professional. They replaced the post and stained it within 45 minutes and properly secured it to the fence with screws vs. nails (original company only nailed fence to the post?!). The charge was just as discussed- no surprises. Small job, but I was extremely happy with the responsiveness and ease of working with these folks. Would definitely reccommend and use again in the future!!

I needed to replace an old fence, I contacted Fence Works, Doug called me, set up an appointment for an estimate, and showed up on time. I called to accept the estimate, a date was set up for the work, Doug called the night before to confirm the appointment, the workers showed up on time and promptly went to work. After they completed the job, Doug came to inspect the work and found several minor issues, which were repaired the next day. A very professional job from start to finish. I am extremely pleased with the work and would definitely use Fence Works again.

Actually, I'd contacted Doug one year ago for estimate, but didn't get around to having the job done until this year. I had called three companies for estimates, and I was most impressed with him as a person. Very punctual, very professional. When I called him back this year, I expected a higher quote since a year had passed, but he gave me the original quote. We set up a date, and he showed up with his crew even a bit early! Now, when I speak of professional, I must say that his crew was made of of three other young men who were also impressive. Not one of them was wearing those baggy pants on the ground, not one ballcap was twisted sideways. No blaring music to irritate me and my neighbors. They just got here and got to work. Doug went over a few items with me. Then, he came to the door to let me know when they were going to lunch--seems like most people anymore just straggle in and out, and you're not quite sure when they're around. The quality of the work is excellent. They not only cleaned up after themselves, but cleaned up some things that were in the way in my yard. When they were gone, the yard looked wonderful, I was so happy with my new fence and so happy that it made the backyard look so much better than it had (as I said, I'd put this off for a long time and the old fence was tacky). My neighbor who shares the fence on one side is very impressed and is planning to call him. Also, I've already referred him to a friend who lives in the Mid-Cities. There isn't a higher score available, or I would have used that.

Doug's estimate was on par with the work done. Had fence replaced with new cedar fence with metal posts from my all wooden fence. His workers also hauled away the old fence as part of the cost even some extra old wood I had lying around in the yard. Quality of the fence is good and on par for what I paid. His workmanship even comes with a 5 year warranty which is good. Compared to other contractors I had estimates for, I have gotten a fair deal. He responds within a day with email contacts and was professional through his dealings. Would recommend his service for those that want their services.

While I can appreciate being 'busy'.. as a consumer.. I dont appreciate being brushed off "for a few weeks".. and receiving canned messages via email..

I asked for an estiamte via email. The estimate was timely and several degrees more affordable than other local companies I had contacted. The installer arrived on time and performed the work quickly and professionally. I am very pleased with the results and would definately use this company again.

I was really surprised how they did it. He made extra trips out here to show us the colors and he brought out the stains and samples and brought them out. We were trying to the match another part of the fence that was like 10 years old, so it was not a perfect match but pretty close. He always sold a wood color stain like browns and red shades. He was very conscience in his work. He was honest and very accommodating. He and his 2 sons came out and did, so they did it pretty quick and they were in and out and carried out all their crap and everything. There was nothing left. No powder dirt or rock or anything. They came to a clean spot and they left it clean. The quality of work was really good. His pricing was reasonable. Their professionalism was great. As far as punctuality, he told me how long it would take and he made it by the time that he had estimated. It took him a week late because he did some shuffling and long jumps and short jumps. We were only dealing with one side and one cross around the whole building. He went his way a little bit to squeeze us in to fit, so he shuffled one guy who had a great big job versus another guy and squeezed us in between, so we were pleased with that. He didn't rush through as he had 2 sons to work with him; they don't work with him all the time; they come to work after school. We were satisfied with his work. His workmanship was good. He tries to please the customer and he gives them what they wanted. I will continue to use this provider again in the future.

called and talked to doug to set up meeting for estimate. came as scheduled and told him what I needed done. he measured the yard and had an estimate in less than 45 min. printed out on company letterhead paper. told him I needed to talk to my neighbor and show him his portion of the estimate. 2 weeks later I called back set up the appointment for work to begin. doug and his son showed up as promised and a day and a half later had a nice new fence and gate. great job !!!!

I was very pleased with all aspects of the job. Although the install had to be put off a week or so due to rain and the holidays, the work went up very quickly. In fact, they put in extra hours to get it done in 2 instead of 3 days. I appreciated it as I was getting married that weekend. They are quick to respond, innovated around some problem areas, and provided top notch service. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Professionally installed and cleaned up afterwards. I will be sure to use them in the future.

I had 4 other quotes from various local fencing companies and Doug was the only one who arrived on-time and was able to give me a quote on the spot. it was a few weeks later when I called him regarding hiring him for the fence. He dropped off stain samples and once I made my decision on the color, we set a date. The first day of installation was cut short by heavy rains but Doug called and kept me posted on the progress and what was to be done the next day. His team was courteous and professional and the quality of work was outstanding. One of the most important things for me was clean-up. Having a small child, I was concerned about her stepping on any nails or debris from the tear down. I carefully checked the backyard and side yards and everything was immaculate! Even the patio furniture that needed to be moved was right back into its original spots. I was very pleased with the whole experience.

Doug arrived on time for both the estimate (which was done the day after I called) and the day the work was to be done. The old falling down fence was replace by a great new fence, looks amazing and exactly the way I had requested. Fence works will definitely be the ones I call when the rest of my fence needs to be replaced.

Fence Works was recommended by a friend. They gave me an estimate that was the lowest of three estimates. The old fence was removed and a new fence was installed in the same day. I was impressed with their professionalism and quality of the work. I highly recommend Fence Works for all your fencing needs.

Doug came out to my house at the end of September and walked the yard with me while I described what I wanted. He took measurements and then printed out some detailed estimates (he has a printer in his truck). Within a few days I scheduled fence installation for the left side of my yard only. He estimated the job would take one day. Since he had a long lead time, about six weeks, the date he gave me was November 9. We kept in touch via email. On Monday, Nov 7, he informed me that something had occurred during the previous week that forced an adjustment to his schedule, so my installation date was changed to Nov 10. On Thursday, he arrived a little after 9 am. and promptly informed me that his supplier had screwed up and provided 2"x4" boards instead of 2"x6" boards for the kick boards. He gave me the option of either using the 2x4s or having him go buy 2x6s, installing them now, and staining them at a later date. I opted to go with the 2x4s. Due to the rockiness of the ground, digging the holes took longer than expected, so the job ended up taking over a day. They (he and his son) finished up before lunch on Friday. Doug offered several payment options when the job was done. My neighbor and I paid him separately. The fence looks great! I'll definitely use him to do the fence on the other side of my property when I'm ready.

The price was what they quoted. It was done when they said it would be. I also asked that they set the posts more deeply for stability. Because I was so happy, I asked them to install a fence in at my rental property, and I was pleased with both of my fences. I will be calling them whenever I need fencing done.

Doug and his son arrived promptly both days. He and his son worked quickly, and were very courteous. The second day, a flock of birds hovered about causing a barrage of acorns to pound down on them as they worked. They took it good naturedly, and continued their project. When they finished, he thanked me, and told me to call if I had any questions or problems, but assured me that the fence would be fine. It looks great! It was a very good experience.

Called for estimate, came out emailed proposal for each side with detailed- measurements. Prices were broken out completely for each area with detail that went with that area (top trim, cap trim-kick board-board- on -board, staining) and many other terms that were not familiar to us. He did not hestitate to explain or to make any changes that we requested. His proposal was more detailed than any we received and we got 4 others.

i called and made an appointment for Sat 07/16. The individual who came seemed to be in a rush, and immediately told me that his family was in the truck because they were looking at cars because he needed one for his wife. I showed him the area where I needed the fence. He asked me for my e-mail, and said he was going to take measurements and that he will e-mail the estimate. I told him I was going to be inside while he was taking measurements. In less than 5 minutes I went outside to tell him what kind of wood I preferred and ask questions about the gate, but he was already gone!!!. The following week I waited for a call or e-mail and never hear back from him. Just to give the benefit of the doubt, I did a follow-up call Sat 08/06, but got their voicemail instead, so I left a detail message and asked for someone to call me but nobody bother to return my call. Unfortunately I put his business card in the trash and forgot to keep his name. I don't understand how can they keep up their business running with this type of service. I hired the individual that Home Depot sent, he is a very pleasant and professional individual who gave me his individual attention and took the time to explain the differences in wood, posts, stain, etc. He prepared a professional estimate within 15-20 30 minutes and gave me the option of 3 different woods. Big difference, this representative really knows how to handle a potential customer.

He does outstanding work. If there is a problem he comes out and makes sure it is taken care of. I've used him for several projects and I'd call him again in a minute.

. They gave me the quote the same day that I contacted them. The quote was for $23000. The contact name for this company is Doug More. He was nice. He literally from the time I called to the time he arrived at my house was less than 2 hours. He asked me very few questions. A lot of these contractors want to know a lot of stuff; they want to know if you are really serious. He came right away and looked at what he to look at, went into his truck and sent me the quote. Later he was concerned whether I wanted to get the work done or not. Like I said before, when I was concerned about the quality of his work he actually invited me to one of his job sites so I could see his work. Doug did not care that I was in a low income housing area; he came out and checked it out. The place where he invited me the wood was like a 100% better, professionally done, all the connection fasteners and everything was of top quality. I am really proud to get that cheap quote. to tell you the truth. There is no reason to believe that the quote is not accurate but as far as I know it is an accurate quote. I will contact this company for another quote in the future.
