+ -1 moreDoug came by the same day I called, very quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it on the spot. We had contacted a large a/c company several days ago (name withheld) and they charged $99 to come to the house and gave me a $2,800 estimate for repairs and strongly suggested we consider a new unit since it was 10 years old and no longer under warranty. Total bill for Bedford Heating & Air was $340. Super happy that they were honest in their evaluation and did not replace parts that were already working. Doug is the best!

Description of Work: I was having a problem with my AC, not cooling part of the time, and starting to freeze up. First Doug came out and tested for Freon, it was real low, so he added that and said I might have a slow Freon leak and to keep an eye on it. That lasted for a few weeks, then the same thing started happening again. I called him and he came right out and decided the best option was to make improvements to the inside unit, so glad he did because I had had that unit for many years and it was really in bad condition. He and his helper worked from 1:30 - 7:00 pm. on tearing it apart, and replacing what needed to be done. I know they were tired but they never gave up, that unit had a leak then they went outside and took the top off, he discovered that there was an almost invisible leak there. they were so nice and professional and I will use them again if need be.
