Goode called me to set up the appointment at my convenience. We decided on Tues, May 6, 2014 between the time frame of 12 noon to 2 PM. The office called me 20 minutes ahead of Chris arriving to give me a heads up he was on his way. I really like that about Goode A/C & Heating Company. They say what they mean & mean what they say! It was almost 1:00 PM when I got the call Chris was on his way. He soon arrived and went right to work. He is a very polite, courteous technician. We replaced our complete A/C, heating & all ductwork in April 2013 so we felt sure everything was still performing as it should, and it was. I commented on the purchase we made from Goode at the time of the install in another posting. (See my other comment Apr 2013). I believe Goode A/C & Heating is honest & trustworthy. I would recommend them to my friends & family.

It went very well. Great explanation on everything needed and explained things to me as if I've never seen or heard of an A/C unit. Service was great.

My house is approximately 30 years old. They were on time and completed work when they said they would. Inspector passed work on first visit.

The girl that I spoke to about the scheduling was very on top it and called me back; very professional.

The gentleman who came, Dale, was very professional and took the time to explain exactly what he did when servicing the units. Goode was recommended by a friend and that's why I decided to give them a try. I was pleased with the service and bought their service policy.

My appointment was set for 8-10:00, which I really like. It is rare for a service company to give you a two hour window. I received a call before the technician arrived, which was around 9:00. The technician was very professional and easy to talk to. He was very efficient, and gave me a few suggestions for the heater. I am very pleased with this company.

They are a family owned company. We like them. We left on a vacation on May and came home to find our dumpster’s unit broke and they were able to replace the unit within 4 days. They actually went over to our neighbors and made sure that they could have access between our 2 yards to get to the AC unit and they put everything back perfectly.

A small pipe outside my house was draining water. I called Goode, because I suspected it was the AC drain. The technician said that it was not a leaking AC drain. He said it was a hot water heater drain, and directed me to call a Plumber. We called the plumber, and he said it was in fact an AC drain. I paid the plumbers service call, and requested that Goode reimburse me for the plumber's service call fee due to the fact that they incorrectly diagnosed the issue and directed me to call a plumber. Goode refused to reimburse me for the plumber's service call on the basis that the AC drain was plumbed incorrectly and not per code (e.g., the primary drain should not have been plumbed to the outside). They had already repaired a broken fitting on the AC drain a couple months prior, and they never said anything about a code violation. I called and asked to speak to the owner twice, and he never returned my call. Goode was incorrect in their diagnosis of the issue, and they should have known better, due to the fact they had previously worked on the AC drain in question. They refused to take any responsibility for the quality of their assessment. They were perfectly content to lose a customer in this case, and they have definitely lost one.

I think they're an outstanding company. On my other unit, they've done several thousand dollars worth of work. One thing I like about them is I have a Carrier A/C unit and they work with Carriers. They were very competent, diagnosed the problem and tell you accurately what the repair bills were going to be for parts and labor.

Service man arrived on time. Checked attic and outside unit.

I was having humidity issues in my home. I had another repair person out, but the issue still persisted. I have an American Standard A/C, less than 6 months old and decided to call Goode A/C as they are a Trane/American Standard dealer. Dale diagnosed the problem, made the necessary adjustments and everything is working as it should. Great job.

They are very good. We have been very satisfied with their work. The price was the most competitive and did the most included in the price. Overall we were very happy

Over a period of years I could not tell you what all they have done. but all experiences have been wonderful and I will continue to use their services.

I don't have anything to add as I answered and explained how the project went in the statements above.

The work was fine. It's a very old house and they had to remove the door to get the A/C unit out and they banged out some of the paint but they came back and fixed it. The salesman was very helpful. He was excellent. I think the quality was excellent. I am perfectly happy. I have no reason to be unhappy. I found them helpful.

The salesman we had on this job was definitely not someone I would call back to my home. My husband obtained the bid and dealt with the salesman initially. I never had the opportunity to meet him as he was not available when I was at home (I commute 30 miles to and from work). The salesman never let me know what brand unit he priced for our home until it was already installed, in fact, I spoke one time to the salesman by phone and he was argumentative. Each time I called Goode to talk about this job, I was directed to the salesman. They installed a brand I have had poor performance experiences with in two homes. I was not pleased, and the two times I called, they continued to direct me to the salesman who never called me back after the initial call, but called my husband, so I never had my questions answered or any explanation of how the misunderstanding of putting a substandard unit in my home had come about. The other issue I have is the job took two days. The first evening, they moved our working unit's thermostat temperature to 65 and somehow wired it so that it would not shut off (evidently this was to cool the attic space) and it ran continuously all night. Our one working unit cooled our entire house to 64 degrees. This will be one fine electric bill and no telling how much stress was caused to our other unit. We could not even shut it off at the breaker box. When they arrived the next day, they did apologize for leaving the temperature so low and not letting us know it was wired upstairs where we had no control over it. I've used Goode in two of my homes, was very pleased with the last job they did, which is why I called them back; but this one was messed up from the beginning because of the salesman and because Goode never would intervene in the job to take care of his mess. They could have easily spoken with me, but continued to push me off . Not a good way to do business. As for whether or not I will be pleased with their work, I'll have to let you know in 2 years. That is historically when the coil goes our on these units and while that would be covered under the warranty, I will still be on the hook for recharging the system (at least that is how it was on the last two units I had). I paid $10,000 for a unit that cost less than $2,000.00 wholesale. While I'm sure they mark that up, and rightfully so, that makes the installation around $8,000 which I think is extremely high for one unit. I would have done better not to rely on my past experience with Goode and get other bids. I will be sure and do that if this one acts like my last two and has to be replaced within 5 years. On a positive note, the workers were a little later than they said they would be, but were very careful with handling such a large unit in the house. Nothing was damaged. UPDATE: Goode is now calling to harrass, and are continuing to say we owe them money when my payment to them in the full amount of the contract cleared our bank. Looks like this could get nasty. Perhaps they didn't like my review. It is truthful and a completely honest assessment.. Buyers beware. NOTE AFTER PROVIDER RESPONSE: Member is a female, the decision maker at this address is female, so "he" may not have had a problem with what you were doing, but "he" was only there to let you guys in to do the work. Again, I reiterate, I had one telephone conversation with the salesman which was extremely negative. I have news for you, your customer is not happy and you did encounter complaints. Three phone calls to Goode to complain is encountering complaints.

Arrived on time were very professional and patient.I did not have power there was an issue with the breaker box that my husband was on his way to solve and they waited patiently. They checked everything and it was fixed in no time. Great job and I will use them again. The service contract is fair and worth purchasing.

They did a great job and I was happy with them as well. It was the cost I ended up buying a service contract with them and the only reason why I did a service contract with them and the only reason why I did the service contract is because I liked their service. Their price initially was very reasonable. The only thing I wasn't too crazy about but I understood was their service fee did not go back into the price. It was still overall I was very happy with it. They had an excellent price too. My husband and I were very well pleased with the price. The only thing I wasn't too thrilled about was how the service fee didn't go back and if you used them towards anything but compared to the other A/C companies I have used thats completely fine and there are others where they do and they have done a really bad job or done a questionable practice. It was excellent and the recommendations, responsiveness, the fact that they stayed on time. They said they were going to be there and they were there at the time that they said they were going to be.

The workers came to our house around 8:10 am and finished the job around 2:00pm. They were very professional and told us what they were going to do. There was no mess left behind and we recommend them highly and we would use them again.

I liked everything about them. They were on time. They were just very good about their work and everything. The system has been working pretty well so far. I will use their services again in the future.

They are very prompt and very efficient. They are very friendly. They give reminder calls. Their price is very fair. I’m very happy with them. I would definitely use them in the future.

I am on a yearly contract with them. They come out once in the spring to check out the air conditioner and then again in the fall to get my furnace ready for winter. It is an okay company and I am comfortable with having them take care of my heating and air conditioning needs. I will use them again in the future.

I’ve been using them for many years. I called them after I decided that the air was not working all that well. I called them and they sent somebody out on a Thursday or a Friday afternoon within 15 minutes of my call. Unfortunately, that’s when I found out that the stuff had been cut. They came back the very next morning and I was up in running. I don’t know if the price was competitive or not. It wasn’t free on either of them. They had put in both of my systems about 10 years ago. Their service has been very good. I’ve had a service contract with them so this wasn’t included in the contract. They’ve kept to everything that has been included in the service contact. They’ve kept both the systems going. They did a very good job in the installation. My house is fairly difficult as I have a two storey house with a 25 foot ceiling. There was a lot of big metal duct work involved. They had to put stoops in to try and direct air from some rooms into others. I would continue to use them in the future. I could not believe that somebody was coming out within 15 minutes of me calling.

Everything with them was just fine. I rate them high overall.

Excellent preparation, planning and execution. Also, follow-up has been very thorough. I have used Goode on two other occasions on rental properties and have been equally pleased. Terrific company!
