Call this guy FIRST. Stuart loves what he s doing and it is evident in everything that he did while here at the house for the bid. He spent three times more effort in evaluating my property than the other two quotes that I gathered in the process. He found issues that others did not. The things that he found were things that I would have wanted repaired prior to paint. A genuine, caring and transparent person. I am taking his bid and he won my business hands down! Include Stuart in your bid process. You will be glad you did. I will re-post when the work is complete but I was SO excited about my great contractor find that I had to tell somebody! :) Photos coming soon!!!

They were terrible about contacting me. They called to schedule a consultation but then called 30 minutes before my appointment time to let me know that they don't service my area. Definitely would not recommend a company that is that disorganized.

We occasionally have folks who are outside of the area we service purchase our Big Deal. It seems to be unavoidable. You should have been told, when your appointment was scheduled, that your home is outside of the area that we can serve - and your appointment should not have been scheduled. That would have allowed you to request your refund at that time and avoid scheduling your day around an appointment that would not happen. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Following our difficulties with scheduling appointments for folks who purchased our Big Deal in May, we have made changes to our scheduling process to avoid problems in the future.

Stuart and his team did an amazing job! We had to delay the initial start day while we were bidding on another house. Stuart was very gracious and said his team would be ready when our plans were finalized. He personally came over and walked through the project. He was always quick to respond both to emails and phone calls. On the day prior to beginning, Stuart brought his Team Leader over and introduced him. We again walked through the project and confirmed all the detailed. Stuart is very thorough. On the scheduled paint days his crew arrived exactly at the specified time and they were all courteous and professional. They did an exceptional job. As a Kitchen and Bath Designer I have worked with several paint crews on prior jobs. Stuart and his team by far exceeded my expectations.
Description of Work: Five Star Painting Houston-North provided a crew for interior painting of house. Intending to put the house on the market and needed to refresh several rooms as well as patch several spots from former artwork.

Description of Work: I purchased the 2 painters for 8hrs. Angie's deal. I assumed 2 painters would arrive, work 8hrs and get done what they could. Instead the owner said they couldn't get 3 regular sized bedrooms done in 8hrs. and wanted to charge me another $450. I contacted another company and they said it could be done in 8hrs. so I have cancelled my agreement with Five Star Painting Houston-North.

[member name removed], I'm sorry that you were disappointed in the service you received from Five Star Painting. The estimator should have prepared a quote for you, based on our everyday rates and then given you a discount valued at $800.00. You paid $399 to Angie's List for the right to receive the $800 discount. I think that's a pretty good deal. This would have given you a savings of 50% off our regular rates on $800 worth of painting services. The Big Deal did not offer to paint three rooms for $399. The total for the items on your quote is $1,250. With the Angie's List Big Deal, you would have received $1250 worth of painting for about $800. Please accept my personal apology for the inconvenience that I'm sure all of this has caused you.

I'd highly recommend Stuart with Five Star Painting. He was very thorough and took pride in his business and the work that his guys were doing. He pays great attention to detail and will work with you until you're completely satisfied. I called a few other painters and Stuart was the lowest price around town. All in all they did a great job and I'd highly recommend Stuart and Five Star Painting for any of your painting needs.
Description of Work: Stuart's crew painted/touched up walls, foot boards, and ceilings in my dining room, living room, hallway, walkway, kitchen and pantry, and spare bathroom.
