CLEAR POOL/TC INC

We switched to Clear Pool after using a different company for about a year. Our previous service cost almost twice as much, visited our house half as frequently and kept our pool way over-chlorinated. Clear Pool corrected the water chemistry and has been maintaining our pool ever since. We have been using Clear Pool's service for several years now. Our regular service is performed by Alan who is friendly, courteous and always does a top-notch job. Whenever we have an equipment problem, Tony, one of the owners, has taken care of it personally and immediately. Many things are covered under our service agreement and they have fixed our Polaris numerous times at no charge. When it finally died completely, they even provided us with a free loaner. When something isn't covered by our monthly service agreement, they can be counted on to provide several options to fix it at different price points and have always resolved the situation within our budget. We have received consistently outstanding service from Clear Pool and we highly recommend them without reservation.

Did the technician show up each week? Yes, and he spent less than five minutes servicing our pool. Basically, they emptied the skimmer basket and Polaris bag, tossed four chlorine tablets in the skimmer basket, and left. Over a six month period, they did not clean the tile once. After noticing that our pool had an extremely strong chlorine smell, I took the water to be tested at the local pool supply store. Here's the real shocker..... There was so much chlorine in our pool that it bleached out their test strip! They couldn't even give me a reading because it was so high! I called the owner the next business day, explained what happened, and reminded him that I hired them because they are supposed to be the professionals! Sure, the pool was clear - there was so much chlorine that nothing could grow if it wanted to! Needless to say, we cancelled our service. It doesn't stop there - they drafted their monthly service fee again the month after I cancelled. We've maintained our own pool since we cancelled their service, have had no problems, and (cha ching) save $163 each month. I would not recommend this company ever, ever!

The initial cleaning was great. The matainance was horrible. Never kept clean enough to swim. Algae was constantly present. Would spend 5 minutes dumping chemicals (actually was throwing chlorine tablets in the pool floor) & leave. Never brushed pool until I complained numerous times. Spoke to owner & he stated his employees would not do this. After numerous complaints, owner acknowledged that I was correct. He started coming out himself. Very arrogant. When he had to make good on my pool, he acted like he was doing me a favor now. Even though we were unable to use our pool all summer. Had new employees coming out. Same service and they tore my yard up & owner never did fix. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE COMPANY
