Clean and Green Solutions

This is a mixed review, but I would hire again. Doug is very knowledgeable and pleasant, everyone I dealt with at the company is very polite, they did a great job getting rid of the black algae, workers were prompt and courteous. However, at the outset I mentioned the one negative review where a customer stated that his plants were killed. I inquired about precautions and was assured that this must have occurred with a roof cleaning where they use a stronger solution and leave it on, and a light misty rain following the application could wash the strong solution down on the plants. Since a much weaker solution would be used on my brick and stucco siding, and it would be washed off promptly, and they would use multiple equally mild applications washed off promptly each time until the algae was gone, there is no way my plants would be damaged, they assured me. Well, actually almost every plant that had contact with the solution had severe leaf burn from the cleaning solution. The company was very apologetic and said they had no idea why this happened, and tried to make it right by coming out to apply a complementary foliar feeding to help the plants recover. I appreciate that, and hopefully I will not lose any of the plants, but they are very unsightly right now with all the damaged foliage. It is fortunate that I was having the pressure washing done in preparation for an exterior paint job, and not for a party at my house! I had watered the roots in well prior to the pressure washing, since I saw that tip online for pressure washing in general, but this did not prevent damage to the leaves. So if you have expensive landscaping you might ask what other measures can be taken to protect your plants. The other issue I had was due to ignorance on my part. I thought that pressure washing would brighten the brick porch floor and the stone surrounding the pool. I was surprised to see that there was still a white haze after the pressure washing. It turns out that this haze was due to calcium deposits from twenty years of watering plants, just like the white haze you might have on brick siding from the sprinkler system. Pressure washing with a bleach solution does not help to remove calcium deposits, so that is why there was not any improvement in the appearance after the pressure washing. I did not know that, and it had not been mentioned to me ahead of time that perhaps my problem was mineral deposits rather than something that could be removed with a bleach and detergent solution. The company did come out promptly to take a look, and explained that pressure washing cannot be expected to help with the haze from mineral deposits. I looked this up online and brick masons use an acid solution to clean brick and remove calcium deposits, but it is easy to damage the brick if the solution is too strong. On a different issue, I have left the mud daubers alone over the years since they eat black widow spiders, which we do have in abundance in our yard, but their nests need to be removed if you are repainting. The company offers hand scrubbing for removal of mud dauber nests and stain, but it is very labor intensive and thus rather expensive. My husband decided to do the hand scrubbing himself, so we did not utilize that service.

I have used Clean and Green twice to clean the exterior brick of my home. I am very happy with their service and results. I like that their brick cleaning process is gentle on the brick and does no damage. They are thorough, prompt, courteous - I like this company a lot.

They did a fantastic job. The house looks like it was freshly painted. 100 percent satisfied.

I think they did a pretty good job, it was expensive but they did a good job. They used ecological friendly solutions, it was a gentle cleaning not to harsh on the things.

Fantastic! No Stress, No Mess! Had to get my chimney cleaned of mildew as well as a huge really covered patch over 1/3 the back of my house. Found Clean and Green on Angie's List and online with great reviews. I liked that they do not power wash brick as it can damage it. They use a Soft Solution method that works beautifully. I called and they looked up my location on Google Earth immediately and could see my chimney. I also texted them photos of the chimney and the back of my house. Got a quote within a few hours. They came the next day as promised. I wasn't home so they texted me pics of the beautiful job when finished. Great communication. Not only that, I didn't realize when I booked the job that they had a senior discount. When I told Doug after the fact they reimbursed me. Can't ask for better service!!

It went great! They did a great job on all aspects of the work, cleaned up, explained what was going on, and what I should expect after they are finished. They were very professional and communicate very well on-line - scheduling, estimate, and payment all done on-line. I had a follow up item after they left and they were out the same day I noticed it to take care of it. Our house looks clean and bright and the roof is grey, rather than black with mold and mildew.

It went very well. While I requested bids in June, I did not get the work done until August (at my choosing). They held their price and were very courteous about my change of plans. Two people came out to do the work and it looks terrific. It's not just pressure washing, but they also use cleansers to make it look better. My house, driveway and sidewalks look terrific!

I was given a quote for each service. The gutters were $225 and the house washing was over $600. When I asked to just have the gutters done - they refused. I was told it was no longer a stand alone service. I just checked their website - and it says nothing of the sort. It advertises gutter cleaning and does not state that it will only be done with the purchase of another service.

Everything was done beautifully. The technicians were courteous and conscientious. I am a Happy Camper!

Completely removed all mold/mildew - house looks brand new again! Very clean and no damage to surrounding plants.

The crew arrived on time and were very diligent with protecting plants and shrubs. They wasted ZERO, came in and got the job done. We had some heavy algae spots on the roof along with the usual dark algae from 10 years of service. Looked new when they finished.

Excellent job!! It hasn't looked this good in a long time. There were two guys and they were conscientious and detailed. The price was average or a little above average, but the quality was top dollar. We will definitely call them again for future needs.

These guys are awesome! They cleaned our Hunters Creek metal, shingled roof, which not been cleaned for years, and it looks fabulous. They had to clean it numerous times to get it perfect, but they did. They also did an amazing job cleaning our brick walkway, pool area, patio and driveway. Everyone from Doug and Rick, and entire team are so professional, so nice and such hard workers. I highly recommend them for major roof cleaning, and any pressure washing need you have. We had a quote of $110,000 to replace the roof, and these guys made it look new. I highly recommend them, without hesitation, to residential and commercial clients alike! They do a great job and are so easy to work with.

Two technicians arrived on schedule. They used the right cleaning solution and used the right amount of pressure so as to protect the roof. Following their cleaning, the roof stood up to careful inspection. The technicians were friendly, agreeable, and careful to explain their work. The charge was a bit pricey, but the work was of the highest quality. I would unhesitatingly recommend Clean and Green and when the mildew returns will call them again.

They were great! Responded promptly to my inquiries, came on time and in a very short time to give me an estimate. I was informed what day and time (within 15 minutes) the workers would arrive. They were very punctual courteous and friendly. The work was done by early afternoon, and I received an invoice by email. No worries!

Great! The two technicians let me know when they arrived and then explained everything that they were going to do. They did exactly as they said they would and they were very good to ensure that everything was cleaned up and then we all did a final inspection (house was very, very clean) before they left. Very efficient in the work they performed and I am very pleased with the results. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Was looking for a power washing company to clean the garage floor of very old oil and rust stains. Found Clean and Green Solutions on Angies List in mid December. Called GCS and appt. was set up for the following Monday. Doug arrived during the 2-hr. window and I was satisfied with the estimate, so he began the cleaning process. He was very professional and finished up in about one hour.

Called him on Saturday, he sent me a quote that was very informative that same day. I emailed him on Sunday and he came out on Wednesday. He was very professional and efficient.

Very professional, punctual, and informative about the entire process. My home looks amazingly beautiful, even clean the dirt nest from wasp off the brick. Great job!
