Noticed at 4 pm that my upstairs AC wasn't wokring properly. Leon was at my house before 6 pm the same day and got everything working again the same day. Relaced a part on the outside unit and recharged the freon. This is the 3rd or 4th time we have used Apex and will not call anyone else to work on our system.

He called immediately, and came yet the same day. He also called right before he arrived. Very friendly and knowledgeable and took his time and did not rush through the repair, checking out both systems thoroughly. He explained in detail what he did, what we can expect in the future and answered all my questions.

Leon did a good job at a fair price. He was very professional and very personable.

Actually when I set up the schedule that morning, he called in the afternoon and came by for an estimate. The owner came out himself and verified our downstairs fan on the outside unit had siezed up and the compressor couldn't cool off as a result. He tried a test to see if it was just the fan or if it was the entire compressor coil (the first opportunity for an upsell). It turns out it was only the fan but he didn't have the part so it would take a day or so to get it. While this went on he checked both systems upstairs in the attic and found both to be in good shape for what they were, but gave me a lot of pointers and things to think about.. In the end, he used Manufacturer OEM parts, not 3rd party, and had to add freon which drove up the price quite a bit...but it's still cheaper than a new unit. Overall his prices were a tiny bit on the high side, but that complaint is minor because he did something much more important. He took the time to explain things, we thought through various options, he fixed only what needed fixing and didn't go overboard into something not needed, and did exactly what he said he would do. In that type of industry, those characteristics are worth something and so he will get the business of ours and our rent house until proven otherwise.

He came in and was very professional. He had the part for my condensor unit and was able to replace the broken part immediately. He also offered us a very competitive offer to replace it considering it is due to be replaced. We will be definitely be calling Leon again this Spring to help keep our unit alive for another hot Houston summer.

It was an emergency and apex arrived as soon as they could . He explained what he was doing, the part he was going to use the cost compared to a Chinese part and he offered to try and replace under warranty. The owner was very professional and straight forward.

They were friendly and informative. They were knowledgeable and all the reps were respectful of my home. They cleaned up after themselves thoroughly and I would consider using them again in the future.

I had my heating system checked by a technician sent by the Home Warranty company. He said he could not determine whether there was anything wrong, despite the unusual noise. I knew that was not the case so I bought the deal with Apex on Angie's List. This time with Apex the unit was checked and I was told the motor would soon need to be replaced (what I expected). Leon was very professional and even offered to speak with someone from my Home Warranty company to explain the work that needed to be done. I will use Apex services again in the future.

I think they did a good job. However they tryed to sell me a green air dust mold cleaner that was very expensive, and they said it would get ride of the mold. My research revealed, everone has mold. They,also said my plentem was to small and were going to charge me much more than what I had the work done.

The fan is my outside ac unit froze and the ac stopped working. This was during a very hot time here in Houston. I called Sunday morning and he was at my place Sunday afternoon. He diagnosed the problem and got the parts as soon as the store opened on Monday morning. Monday afternoon my house was cool and everything was working perfectly. Would definitely recommend. He also provided me with insight on how to keep my ac system working better and for longer.

This did not work out too well. The price was fine. However, the technician wanted to replace the coil for $1,900 since it was leaking. He said the outside unit did not have enough pressure and the extra Freon would be pointless. I contacted the installer of the unit, and he came out and found the pressure was fine. He ran his tests and made some repairs and the unit is working fine.

Great- Leon performed his dates perfectly. And was on time.

I scheduled on the phone with Leon, who was very nice. On the day of service, the technician that came out was prompt, polite and very thorough. I was very happy with the services provided and would definitely call them again.

It turned out fine. I had some extra work done, there's some problem I was having on the air conditioning unit. I have a warranty on the unit so if something goes wrong then I would use them again.

Arrived on time and spent three hours or so doing the work. Started as AC checks, but I was low on refrigerant and gave me some options on the drainage setup. No pressure. Did a very good job.

Leon was very thorough and took his time explaining everything to me. I wanted him to quote me on re-routing my drain pipe to alleviate a drainage issue I have outside, and after looking at my configuration he recommended that I call a plumber due to him not being sure a certain existing pipe could be used for re-routing. I appreciated his honesty. He seemed honest with his recommendations for additional services I should get to optimize my system. I will use him again.

As expected. The technician was on site for about 45 minutes. Charge for looking at both units and giving an estimate for future repairs: Around $350 not including the Big Angies List Discount. Everything was great. Technician was on-time, very thorough in his explanation, quick to find the problem, and quick to fix it.

I called Apex Air Solutions L.L.C. (Leon Ortega A/C) from info on Angie's list and he said he would call me and set an appointment for that day. He called and came over that afternoon. He was professional and friendly. Did a through check of AC system. Found and fixed problem. When he finished I presented him the Angie's coupon and he deducted $20 from bill. I would rate him knowledgeable, efficient and customer friendly. I would definitely hire him again.

Leon is friendly and professional. We called him in the morning and he was at our house a few hours later. We have used him twice and he is now our go-to for all of our a/c needs.

It was excellent. The gentleman was not only very knowledgeable but he was also patient and detailed to explain everything to me everything he did. The figures that he gave to me were accurate. He was not trying to do extra. He explained how it works. He was very quick to respond and to get an appointment.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. He was nice. I have no complaints about him. He came out like a day after I purchased the deal. He said that he would take the deal price of if I decided to have him do the work. My A/C makes a noise. I had gotten a second estimate on it and I’ve had estimates for replacing it, it’s gonna be almost $500 for a 12-year old conditioner. So as long as it’s still working, I have decided to do nothing. Both people said the same thing, that the problem is with the fan motor. I had no doubt that he told me wrong. His estimate on repairing it was in the middle.I was totally satisfied with him.

Purchased hvac inspection and he didn't even go into the attic to look at that part of the unit. I expected a more thorough inspection. Although he did fix the problem we were having.

Showed up on time. Very professional. Honest about inspection findings and service costs.
