Inspected furnace/air handling components in the attic. Gave recommendations based on manufacturer specifications on how to make system more efficient. Checked outside condenser unit for proper capacitor charge and freon charge. Topped off with 1 pound of freon. UPDATE: The evening of my original service, went to turn the Air Conditioner on and suddenly there was no cold air coming out of the vents, actually there was no air at all! Sent another message to Apex and Leon came back out and quickly replaced the capacitor for the house blower in the attic. He was extremely honest and fair about the trip and the cause of the problem and did not charge for a second service call, even though it was an issue that he had no way of preventing. I will not hesitate to recommend this company to anybody I know.

I have used Apex three times. Two large issues and one small one. They are fast, efficient and very detailed of their explanation of what the problem was. They have been thorough and completely trustworthy (not so with a couple others I used in the past). Mr Ortega has provided the service a couple of times himself. When the owner is a "worker" as well you know you are dealing with someone who really knows what is going on in his business. Recommend without reservation.

Manuel was a little late, but walked me through each step of the way so I would know what to do if it happened again. I really appreciated the education.

They did fix the actual unit, but when they left I felt like I'd been taken advantage of.

He came out on a service call in August. He made time to get there in hours. At the time he found that the system was froze and low on Freon. He made the necessary repair. Then in December, I found out my heat exchanger was bad. I hired Leon to replace the complete unit; which he did in very quickly. He finished up within 3 days. Then 6 months later, there was a glitch with condensation drain. Leon instantly made everything right. I would recommend him to anyone anytime. I can’t say enough good things about Leon. I would recommend him for any repair of any size. Leon is the man. He is a rare find in the service industry.

Leon is great!! This is the 3rd time he's cleaned our air conditioning heater for us. We have him annually check for us.

Once he arrived, he introduced himself and was shown where inside unit was. He informed me of everything he was doing as well as showed me. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. I will use his service again.

arrived on time for installation ,installed a bryant unit ,service technicians were considerate ,have read on multiple reviews regarding how choosing the proper installer is sometimes more important than what system you put in ,i know understand why few minor glitches after installation which the owner of the company himself came in worked on it and resolved promptly,my greatest concern regarding a provider is phone etiquette and availability leon usually picks up the phone on the first ring and comes out the same day to resolve issues,does not cut any corners and makes sure the job is done right explained the whole process very well.

We have a 2 ton unit for the upstairs, and a 4-ton for the downstairs. Our downstairs was not providing cooling,so we contacted Leon Ortega @ 7pm. Hewas an hour away, and said he could get there as soon as he could. He arrived by 9pm, looked at our system, & discovered that our furnace had iced up. he found that the duct work had fallen off the poorly-designed end of the furnace. he switched off the power to the downstairs system so the ice could melt overnight. Leon came back the next morning to flush & clean the air handler. He then sealed off the end of the furnace where the duct work had fallen off, cut a new hole (a better design) in the side of the furnace, and installed new flex duct. He also charged both the 4 ton and the 2 ton with Freon (about 3 pounds each). All is working well now. leon will revisit in about 6 months to check that all is ok. Mr Ortega was courteous, on time, and very professional. he is very knowledgeable and offers multiple solutions to problems. he is not the cheapest, but uses only high quality parts and equipment. We would definitely utilize Apex Air Solutions in the future.

Showed up very late without the correct materials to repair a duct. Performed and expensive Freon recharge, and committed to return to complete the duct repair. They never returned, I call the Technician several times, and he kept promising to get back to me, but he never did. Finally, I just paid someone else to repair the duct.

Leon is the greatest. My A/C wasn't working and my thermostat was retaining the settings. Leon made some adjustments and did not have to replace the thermostat.

Leon Ortega, the owner, personally came out and checked our unit out to determine the damage. He did NOT do as a few other contractors that had come and given estimates. Most would come out and take full advantage of a homeowner in our situation, knowing the extent of the damage our home had received and that our homeowers insurance would be footing the bill for all the damages. APEX was NOT that type of contractor, after assessing the damage he worked closely with our insurance adjustor and replaced our units with slightly larger and more effective ones and everything was done in a timely fashion and in a very professional mannerby professional personell. I would both use them again and will recommend to any and everyone I can.

Very satisfied with the response, identified the problem very quick and repaired it, my major complaint is that during this process I was never given a price for the work until it was completed and then I got the sticker shock, it would have been nice (since I was standing next to them) if they would have said "I's the capacitor and needs a hard start added and the cost is **** do you want us to do the work?". I would probably have approved the work but at least I would have been given the option.

The A/C wasn't cooling as well as usual. Apex Air Solutions inspected it, and added some freon. He also cleaned the outside unit, and gave me some tips on how to maintain the A/C. He recommended I replace the entire A/C and furnace system since it's 17 yrs old. It doesn't cool below 78 degrees or so, it's leaking freon, and the freon it uses will be discontinued in a few years. It will cost $7,600 to replace the A/C, furnace, and the outside unit. It's working fine for now, but next time it fails I'll just replace it.

My wife arranged for air conditioning inspection through Angie's List Big Deal. We heard from he provider that evening (Wednesday), he said he would come by the following Monday. Did not hear back, I wrote an e-mail, which he responded to saying he was very busy, then never heard from again for the last nearly two weeks.

Leon did an excellent job. I called him and needed service he same day. He was able to come late, unlike other AC companies that stop at 5pm. He was able to quickly diagnose and let me know where my problem areas were located. He fixed me right up and explained every step in the process. Very professional and will be a long term customer.

Very knowledgeable, showed up on time, and was very professional. He also had the best price. Will definitely use him again if needed and would recommend this company. He did not replace furnace in attic, per our request. He just replace the air conditioning unit and made sure it was working to our satisfaction before leaving.

Leon was exceptional from start to finish. Punctual and professional and always followed through. He and his guys worked to find the issue with one our A/C units, contacted the manufacturer, found out it was still under warranty, got the right parts to fix it the very next day and stayed until the job was done. Came back on two separate occassions to make sure everything was running correctly, found a small leak on one of those trips and repaired that day.

I called and since he was driving, he requested I text with my information.. I did and he made an appointment to check it later that day.. He arrived and explained in detail what was wrong and provided an estimate of the repairs. Once the costs were agreed upon, he made arrangements to be out the next morning to replace the compressor/condensor/fan unit outside and the coil inside.. All work was done professionally, and quickly. By the early afternoon, the unit was replaced and working.. He was friendly, professional and helpful.. I can see why he has such a high rating and I will certainly use this company for any future A/C and heating needs.

The heater wasn't working in the home. I contacted APEX Air through Angie's List and Leon came out same day. He performed a visual checkup of the unit and identified that the issue was an "operator error". The therrmostat was reset and heater started working again. Leon also provided tips on how to keep the unit working properly. Because of his professionalism and attention to detail, I will be using him again.

The owner came to check the work. That was nice.
