They did a great job. Explained everything very well. They were so polite and came prepared and fixed everything quickly and completely. I will use them again.

Blaine was punctual, courteous, and went above and beyond to explain changing the filter. He changed out the ice maker in about 15 min.

The previous review is mistaken. They are very much in business. Blain contacted us before our appointed time to inqiure about our problem and requested that we take a picture of the plate with the serial and model number of our dryer. He arrived at the appointed time, spent time with the dryer to fully determine the problem was what he suspected from our conversation. He had the correct part on his truck and repaired the dryer quickly. Do not let his youthful appearance fool you. He is very knowledgeable and has been doing this for several years. A polite and respectful young man...I will certainly use him again.

Went great. He was punctual, courteous and addressed all my issues. He explained how the problems likely most occurred, quoted a price and fixed them.

They never responded to my request.

When I called, an elderly man answered the phone. I have a soft spot for the elderly and was very patient while he took my info. He said Blaine would give me a call. I spoke with Blaine in a timely manner and we set up a time. He ran a little late, but gave me a call to let me know. Blaine knew immediately what was wrong with the washer (plugged drain) and repaired it. He also showed me how to maintain it so it doesn't plug up again. I got the coupon discount. Price was fair. I asked about the elderly man answering the phone. Blaine explained to me the old man was a neighbor and taught him everything he knew about appliance repair. The old man had the business for years while Blaine grew up and took him on as an apprentice when he was a young teen.

I was trying to find a used appliance place that would be inexpensive and I remember dealing with them from before as being attentive to repairs. They were willing to give us a cheap price, come out to pick up the unit, take it to their store for repairs and bring it back.

My overall experience with them was okay. I had a problem with the way they made up the invoice, but the work was fine. He did not work the invoice down, like how much at the end it is going to cost, I just wish he would itemize it. I am in a service contract with them.

Warranty work. Was able to diagnose the problem quickly and replace the part right away. Very polite and efficient.

I don't remember how long it took for them to come out here and I think they came the next day. He wasn't here for very long, he replaced the part and he was on his way. I thought his price was kind of high and I don't know how much the part cost and what the market price was.

Horrible experience. First serviceman came and replaced the water hose to fix the leak in the dishwasher. That didn't work. Called every day the following week and each day I was assured someone would be there that day. Finally on the fifth day a young man showed up at the end of the day and was here for @ 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the leak did not appear while he was here since the leak was in the intake water valve above where the elbow joint connects to the water hose, so it took a while for the leak to be visible. Leak became visible a short while after the repairman left. I wasn't going to go through another week trying to get them back, so called another company who promptly fixed the leak.

We found them on Angie's list and they were awful. I called them on January 26th and they still haven't resolved the problem. They came out and said I needed a door hinge, so we had to order it and they charged me for that. The other unit they said they couldn't do anything until I turn it off and leave it over the weekend. I turned it off and I had to transfer a lot of stuff to another freezer and refrigerator. It started working because they fixed a heater element, then they said I couldn't do anything until the ice was gone. I left it off for a day and the ice on the outside was gone so I turned it back on. He came back on Monday and said the ice on the inside wasn't gone and he couldn't work on it. He said he would put the part on but not put it all back together because of the ice, in the meantime I had food I needed to get back in it. He said I could accelerate it by getting a hair drier out, but he said he wasn't waiting. I got all the ice out and I had to put it back together myself. I called them and asked what was going on because he was supposed to come back and work on the hinge of the other fridge. Apparently the original guy had gotten fired so they sent out another guy and they charged me another fee and then he said he'd have to order another hinge. They replaced the coupler and said that wasn't the problem and the only other thing it could be is the compressor. They said they don't repair that in house and would have to take the unit away for 3 days. They sent a repair man out to do it in house and ever since then the door hinge hasn't been a problem anymore. I am absolutely disgusted with A-1. I would also say they are over priced.

I called the company yesterday, they answered the phone promptly and their technician Chris came on time this morning and checked out this two year old machine. This is the second time it has broken down in that time, which is not something I expected from a machine costing somewhere in the region of $900! Plus there are only two of us in the home, so it's been lightly used. He told us these machines have been giving a lot of trouble, including the matching dryers. They are made by Whirlpool he said and were somewhat of an experiment in his opinion. So we were faced with either fixing it yet again, or buying another cheaper one with fewer 'bells and whistles, to go wrong. We decided to pay the $69 service charge and buy another machine, as we know this one will only go bad on us again. We've already paid out in repairs what it would have cost us to purchase a cheaper model. I very much appreciated the advice Chris gave us. He told us instead of checking out Consumer Report (which I did) for advice when buying appliances, to call up a company that repairs machines and they will advise you on which ones are the most reliable. Because it's a year or so later they start to give trouble. He recommended another machine, also made by Whirlpool, a Roper, which he has himself. So that's what I intend to buy, as I never used all those expensive 'bells and whistles' anyway. This is a very honest company and I will definitely use them again.

What can I say? Within two hours of calling A-1, my dryer was working again! The gentleman on the phone and the service rep were straightforward, no nonsense. I would definitely use them again.

The gentleman who came out to do the work mentioned having the lint line cleaned out, but did not tell me that it was imperative. So the next time I ran the dryer without having the lint line cleaned it burned up the brand new thermostat. I thought that the price was a little high, however I will most likely use A-1 Appliance Repair again in the future.

Called A-1 to see if they could resuscitate our 11-year old Maytag Neptune washer that simply stopped working in the middle of a cycle. A-1 was prompt. The tech was courteous and professional. He diagnosed the problem and provided an estimate. When I mentioned the spin cycle sounded like a loud sputtering chain saw, he said the drum bearing might be going out or bad. Two separate problems. He was honest and said the repair cost versus a new washer wasn?t that far off. I paid the service call fee. I later checked the Internet and parts alone were ~$700. We bought a new washer for less.

This was a very pleasant experience. A repairman was sent out within 2 hours of our call. He was very courteous. After diagnosing the problem, he went to get the new fan motor. He was running a little late in returning based on when he said that he would be back. However, he called to let me know. He quickly got the repair done.

Very satisfied. Service tech was friendly and performed as promised.

I called A-1 and they sent a repairman out right away. He was very honest when he told me what was wrong. He could have tried to sell me a new one or charge me through the roof since it had to be repaired or replaced but he didn't. I really appreciated his honesty.

The work is very good. A-1 provides great workmanship. I am pleased with everything. All of the repairs they had done turned out to be excellent. I have never had any problems since they had done this job. The people are very great. They are so nice and considerate. If I set a time, you better believe they are here right as scheduled. I will hire them again if I need any future repairs.
