We found Zack Nino through Angie's List and contacted him for an estimate to landscape our yards. He kept all appointments and did the agreed-on work in a timely and very satisfactory manner. I highly recommend Zack and would gladly use him again. Our yards look great!!

We received a quote which we thought was very reasonable and scheduled the work. He and his crew showed up as scheduled and completed all work in a little over 2 days. Unfortunately, the time I spent researching the company was wasted, as the provider does not work in the Clear Lake area.

Zack came out to assess our yard, took the time to answer all of our questions and created a simple yet impactful planting and lighting design. He worked with us on several options and accommodated a short deadline. He and his crew arrived when scheduled and worked 8:30 - 6:00, completely transforming our yard in one day. It exceeded our expectations and we coudn't be more excited to show it off. He is a pleasure to work with and while laid back, is very professional. He knows his business and is very talented in what he does. His crew worked hard non-stop and kept everything tidy as they worked. We absolutely got our money's worth and we cannot recommend Zack highly enough. We chose him from his outstanding reviews on AL, and we are pleased to be able to add one more to his repertiore.

On installation day Zack was there on schedule with his three man crew. He showed them what was required, got them started then left to pick up plants and other landscaping materials. The crew was obviously well trained, working well and without supervision when Zack was away to pick up plant materials. I had requested some last minute changes re: the placement and height of plants, also a couple of substitutions; Zack was totally flexible with this. He even called me from the nursery supplier so I could google an image to see the plants he suggested as substitutes. The placement of the individual plants was juggled around until it was just right, then the crew planted them and spread the granite. At this point I was really pleased with the way the area looked, but once the three heavy boulders were in place, I was delighted at the dramatic improvement in front of the building. As with placement of the plants, it was my call on final placement of the boulders: Zack and his crew first placed the heavy boulders, then moved them a few inches this way and that, then adjusted the angles and positions of the rocks until I was satisfied that they were perfectly placed. It seemed there was no difference between moving a one gallon plant and a 400 pound boulder: the job wasn't done until I was perfectly satisfied with placement. It was finished in one day, as promised, and I was given detailed watering instructions for the first critical couple of weeks. This was a very positive experience, and I have already emailed Zack that I want to continue with what we've started and do the other side of the property. Once we finish the commercial property I want him to quote on a plan for the backyard at my residence. He really listens to the customer and creates a plan to accomplish what the customer wants. His flexibility is a real bonus, and I look forward to working with him again.

I called Zack for an estimate on the yard and he immediately called me back, went to the house and came up with a plan and cost. The work was done the next week and we discussed future work on the back yard. I highly recommend Zack!

Sent an email for some work I need done, never got a response ...

Immediately responded to initial phone call. Attentive to all our concerns. Offered useful recommendations. Executed a long list of tasks with attention to detail. Performed extra work that was not part of the original job but needed to be done. Always on time.

I found him on Angie’s list. He did a fine job. The only disappointment was that he was supposed to give me an estimate on fencing and he never got back to me on that. I never called them either. He was there when he said he was going to be. I will not be using him because I want somebody who can help me more in landscape designing and he is more good toward installation. He even told me about it. .

No response to request for an estimate. Phone call unreturned. Obviously unreliable company.

On our first meeting, he was professional, personable and understood the type of design and plants that I had in mind but needed a professional to execute. I decided to stop looking for landscapers and go with him. The crew worked efficiently and neatly in spite of the pool building still going on, very hot conditions and two rambunctious dogs -- taking only 2 1/2 days to complete which exceeded my expectation. Several dozen plants, trees and new sod were installed. The design turned out beautifully and truly complemented the house and pool. In addition, Zack provides excellent follow-up service. He has been back several times to check on the plantings and make sure the watering is correct. I enjoyed working with Zack very much and highly recommend him. And my backyard is spectacular!

Zack answers his phone quickly or returns call quickly. He communicates very well. He came over to my house quickly to give a free estimate. He then followed this up with an email of the estimate. Zack is good about communicating by email and text as well as phone. His crew came when they said they would, but they ran out of dirt on the first day. He notified me that it was going to take more dirt than we had planned. I explained to him more about what areas needed to be filled in. So, he came back the next day to finish the work for an additional charge. He put in good sod. I wish that they had watered it really good before they left. Zack is good about following up on the work to make sure that you are happy. His weekly yard service is pretty good and reliable. He allows me to pay him through my automated bank payments to his address. I hope to use him for more landscaping services. He has a large book of photos of the great work he has done.

I contacted Zack for an estimate on some yard cleanup and some minimal landscaping. He was very quick and responsive and came the next day to give me an estimate. I was really looking for someone to give me some inital curb appeal and then later be able to expand the plan and work it through in stages. Zack was very agreeable to taking a small job and gave me some great ideas to think about for the future. He came with his crew that same week to do the work. His crew was very clean and professional...all dressed in company shirts. They did a great general clean up of the winter debris.....even cleaned out my front gutters......and then laid the stone and prepared the soil. He purchased all the plants and bulbs and planted everything very neatly. When they left, the yard was immaculate and we definitely had some instant curb appeal. Zack was very professional.....extremely clean and neat......and easy to work with. I look forward to working with him in the future as we move forward in our landscape design.

Zack's Landscape was the third company that I called for an estimate to re-do our yards. Zack was not only prompt, responsive but also courteous, polite and pleasant. His quote was not the lowest but we had a very good feeling about Zack from the outset, so we went with him. Zack did everything he promised he would do plus more, i.e. fix our sprinkler in the back. My husband was so pleased with his work and his work ethic, he decided to hire Zack to maintain our yards year round. I would gladly recommend Zack to all of my friends and family.

Zack came out the next day after I contacted him and was really great. My job was only going to take 1/2 day, so he said he'd have to schedule me in with another 1/2 day job. That was almost 2 months ago and he has not responded to my emails. Apparently I'm my jobbig enough for his company to deal with. Too bad, would have liked to worked with him so I'll try another vendor from Angies List and hope for a better response.

An excellent experience in every respect. Zack was very attentive to my needs and requests when I described what I wanted him to do. His estimate was prepared in a timely manner and his design was well thought out and incorporated everything I asked him for. He and his crew arrived on time on the scheduled day, and they worked diligently for four days to complete the project. They cleaned up the area each day before they left. Zack worked right along side his crew, doing everything from the most mundane and labor-intensive digging to the more skilled laying of the pavers and stacking stones. They spent a great deal of time doing the necessary preparation and foundation work, which made the finished product outstanding. Zack checked in with me each day to let me know when the crew arrived, and periodically called me outside to show me important aspects of the job as it progressed. I love the finished product, and can't say enough good things about Zack's design. I am extremely pleased with everything about this project. It was worth every penny I spent. I highly recommend Zack and his crew.

Zack promptly responded to my email and was out at our house within days. He asked what we wanted, what we liked/disliked, and took the time to understand all our issues. He made great suggestions and diplomatically steered us to options that would be better long term decisions. He recommended having an arborist look at a couple of trees leaning toward our home but did not give us a recommendation. He said that he felt more comfortable with us going through Angie's List, which I understood. He said he'd send us a sketch and estimate within 3 days, and he did. Over the weekend b/w his visit and the estimate, we'd rethought a couple of things, and he cheerfully modified his sketch and estimate to accomodate. It was about a week b/w when we approved the estimate and the removal and stone work began. That and the backyard trimming took about a day. We let the beds sit for several days after the Round-Up application to not harm to new plants. The actual install took about 1.5 days. Zack fixed several of our sprinker heads or changed them to better suite the area. He also helped diagnose the problem with the back sprinkler system. He reused some existing stepping stones and used them to make a great walkway through the bullrock. The side and back corner look SO nice now and are much more useable. During the bull rock install 4 drainage grates were covered. I asked Zack about it and his crew uncovered 3 of them the next day. When Zack came out to walk me through plant care/maintenance and to receive payment, I mentioned the 4th one still being covered. He said that they hadn't been able to find it and asked me for help in locating it. I gave him a 4 ft area and his folks came back and uncovered it in a day or two. Zack is going to monitor the sprinkler system for me as the weather changes to make sure the plants are getting enough water. The landscape itself is gorgeous! The plants are beautiful and really suits the house. Tons of neighbors have come by to tell us how much they love the new look. We'd definitely recommend Zack :)

It went very well. I called Zack and he came to give me an estimate the same day I called. The work was done the next day, and only took a couple of hours to do. Zack was here most, if not all the time, with his contractors working along side of them. They did an excellent job and I'll have them come back in the spring to do some additional work. I actually think the price was quite fair for the work that was done.

Zack and his team were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process, estimate to completion of work. They were punctual, polite, professional, and did an outstanding job. Moreover, despite all of them being in the brutal heat all day without a break, at the end when I decided to change things a bit they responded without hesitation and jumped right into it - not even charging me anything additional . I am SO happy with the way this work turned out that I am going to bring Zack back to complete the side yard and then redesign my back patio. Hire them! You won't be sorry!

Zack was always very responsive and prompt. We did intially get out start dates crossed (a miscommunication on both our parts), but we got right on track and he was there within the next few days anyway and completed the job in 2 days. He was accommodating with any changes and had great suggestions to help us out. We are very pleased and WILL be calling him back to do the front yard soon and maybe even more on the back.

After reading many positive reviews on Angie's List I contacted Zack. He came out the following day gave me some options for my yard and emailed me a proposal that afternoon. Zack informed me that he could start in a matter of weeks and I agreed. The day of the job, Zack and his crew came out and finished the job in a day and a half. Both he and his crew were courteous and extremely efficient. I would use Zack again and would recommend him to my friends.

He responded to my call promptly and was never late for our appointment. He gave us good suggestions and did the work up to professional level. I told him that we liked roses and he recommended the knock out roses. I know I will use his company for any yard work in the future and I highly recommend him.

Zack responded quickly to my request for quote. At first, Zack was concerned that it would take a couple days for him schedule a visit to view the job and called me several times to make sure I was okay with the schedule. I understood, after all he didn?t want to abandon his current customers and I had four other requests for quotes lined up. Zack made his scheduled appointment. He was the only one of the four. He was friendly, helpful and professional. He made several suggestions and delivered a quote with multiple options for me to choose from. And Zack was the only one that didn?t subcontract the tree removal and disposal. Zack emailed his quote to me and his was the most reasonable. I contacted Zack with my choices and he scheduled the work. He was very concerned about my satisfaction and he had to apologize because he had to schedule the work a couple days out due to his wedding (Congratulations Zack). I can tell by his personality and concern for my job he will have a long and happy marriage, so you won?t have to worry about another wedding delaying your project. Zack came out, removed the trees and prepared the property without my presences. I came home and found the grounds cleaned of all debris, including some I had out there, not just what they were contracted for. All the other plants were pruned and cleaned up which was up and beyond the job. The next day, the trees came in, planted, and landscaped. It was wonderful. I couldn?t be more pleased with finding Zack to do the job. His prices were reasonable; he put finishing touches on the landscape that wasn?t expected. He kept in contact with me through out the project and worked independently with out me having to take time off from work. Honestly, you can?t go wrong with Zack?s Landscaping. I plan on seeing if I can?t contract routine services and other work from him.

I decided to use another landscaper, only because they could complete the project earlier than Zack. He had told me he was booking out to the first of June, which at the time was O.K. with me since I wasn't sure how far out other landscapers were scheduling. He was prompt and professional and made a good first impression.
