 + 0 moreAfter leaving a message for an estimate, Zack quickly returned my call and came out right away. I had his estimate within three days. He and his crew showed up promptly. They removed all of the old landscaping and transplanted some plants in the backyard. He had recommended specific plants for my issues, and was incredibly patient as I asked him several questions and then my husband would ask him the same questions! We could not be happier with the work he and his crew performed. They really transformed our yard! Zack takes great pride in his work and it shows in the end result.He and his crew are meticulous and they go above and beyond what you are expecting and will walk you through the entire process. I would highly recomend Zacks Landscaping .

 + -1 moreWe are very happy with Zack?s work. From the beginning to the end, he always returned the calls promptly, answered questions ans suggested options based on what we wanted. He is a good listener, and could understand our problem and deliver excellent results despite our poor knowledge of plants. The impression we had was that he was really focusing in making us happy, and he accomplished that. The backyard now is awesome and everybody that visit us asks who did that. We had recently some infestations of bugs in our roses, and we sent him an e-mail about it. He responded in the same day and after 2 days he was here taking care of the problem. We could not be happier. Thanks Zack!

 + 1 moreWith his knowledge, and hard-working team he was able to transform the yard. He took it from a so-so look to a showplace! He knew what plants would work where and had great suggestions for creating an instant impact, but also having an eye for how the plants will grow. He's punctual and follows through. His team is very hard working and conscientious. No slackers. FInally, his pricing is very fair. I know that I got a lot of value for the money. I highly recommend Zack for any landscape need. My experience is that it's tough to find a consistent, competent landscape service. Zack is the one.
Description of Work: I just bought a new home in the historic part of the Heights. The landscaping that had been installed was poorly done. It was sparse and in some cases plants were placed in spots where they would not flourish (i.e. sun-lovers in the shade). Zack knew exactly what to do. The work included the entire yard, front, side-yard and back courtyard. The look is more formal and included a small fountain in the back. Many plants were transplanted carefully and new ones were added, including several small trees. The result was amazing!

Then sent me a very reasonable quote and he and his crew showed up on the day we had agreed to. They were very punctual, professional, and got the work done (exactly as I had discussed with Zack) in 1 day. Zack gave me watering / mulching tips before he left. He knows his plants. Overall a great experience.

 + -1 moreI found Zack?s name on Angie?s list and called him to come out for an estimate. Zack walked around the yard with us as we talked about what needed to be done. He offered several suggestions for replacement shrubs which he was able to show us in his photo book. He made notes, drew a sketch, and then e-mailed us a quote a couple of days later. Zack let us know that he was scheduling about two weeks ahead. We liked Zack very much and his estimate was very reasonable. Fortunately for us, he called us when weather caused another job to be rescheduled and he was able to start our job within a few days. The work was completed in about one and ? days while we were at work. We are very pleased with the results, and will definitely use Zack again for future landscaping needs. We are disappointed that he doesn?t offer regular yard maintenance in our area?we would love that!
Description of Work: Removed, replaced and / or pruned several shrubs, added new shrubs, cleaned out all of our beds, added a rock border to our front beds, cleaned and refreshed a bull rock border, planted seasonal color, and mulched all of our beds.

Description of Work: Cleaned up the existing plants, pulled weeds and planted several ground cover plants. Dug out a stubborn stump and transplanted boxwoods there. Added boxwoods to the walkways and patio planning beds and dug up another stubborn stump. Mulched and cleaned up work area. Did all this in one day.

He was able to start work within 10 days and completed it in 1 1/2 days. He was flexible in adding on to the scope of the work when it was identified that I would need a few more shrubs ect to fill in. Very pleased overall. So much so that he now does the regular maintenance weekly on my lawn.
Description of Work: Added soil and mulch to beds, replaced several shrubs and added annual color. Fertilized all yard and plants. Sprayed insecticide for several pest issues on plants and lawn. Redid pebble and river rock stone areas.

They now come to my home every two weeks to cut grass but this week I was home and actually saw them watering my plants and pulling weeds! Not many companies do that without being asked or for additional charge. I changed service from a very large corporate type company that did 5 yards at a time to this smaller company and got the personal service I was looking for.

 + -1 moreZack came out for an estimate and it was easy to communicate what I was looking for. He quickly came up with a plan and sent us an estimate within a few days. He scheduled to begin work a couple of weeks later. They had to start a couple of days after the original planned date, but he informed us of the delay and the reason why beforehand. He and his guys showed up and got right to work. The job took about 2.5 days during the worst heat of the summer and they just kept on going. I thought up some small additions to the job and there was no problem at all. They finished the job the day before July 4th and we went out of town. He wanted to make sure the new plants were ok so he came on Sunday and watered them before we got home. It looks great and the neighbors have been complimenting the work. Thanks Zack!

 + -1 moreZack and his employees did a fantastic job. They were easy to get along with, very polite and did everything in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend him, and have already. He recommended and worked with another provider to put a drainage system around the house and they put bullrock on top of the drainage system and it looks great.
Description of Work: Zack came to give us an estimate to completely redo our 30 year old landscape. It was in really bad shape, including a bed and sidewalk uprooted by a tree during Ike. Zack had good ideas and I liked the plants he suggested. They cleaned everything out, which was a really big job. On the sunny side they put in a bed of Knockout roses, Empress encore azealeas, foxtail ferns and a pigmy palm with a corner in front of a boulder filled with blue salvia and society garlic bordering the driveway. This sun bed in front of the house has a disapperaing fountain across from a bench and several boulders stratigically placed. The other bed in the front of the house is a shade bed and has a Sago palm (salvaged from the old landscape) surrounded by Dwarf Zanadu Philodenderon. Endless Summer Hydrangeas,Dianella and Agapanthus bordered with impatients. they put Holly fern under the exisring Lugistrum on the North side of the house and bordered them with impatients, All the beds are bordered with double stacked moss rock. The moss rock also surrounds a tree and a crepe myrtle in the yard. They put in a buckskin flagstone walk way and bench pad in crushed granite with dwarf mundo grass and a flagstone pad arount the mailbox surrounded by a bed of salvia enclosed in moss rock, with steppingstones leading from the sidewalk to the mailbox. Everything looks beautiful. We are really happy with the finished product. Zack suggested if we were thinking about putting in lighting, that during construction was the time to do it. They put in pathway lighting and 3 up lights, the lights really add a lot . Looks beautiful at night, especially the light shining on the fountain.

I grew up in the landscape/nursery business and had done much of the yard myself. But I had just gotten to a point where I could not finish. Zack and his conscientious team were able to finish to my specifications. Zack knew what I wanted, offered some additional suggestions. We set a date and he stuck to it. He and the team were prompt and considerate. The finished product is fantastic! I'm so pleased to be able to look at my finished yard. I highly recommend Zack and his team. Having gone through several contractors before him, my recommendation does not come lightly.

Basically to fix up a small backyard with the addition of a hardscape, a water feature, lighting, and low maintenance plantings. Zack came back with a wonderful design that incorporated all of these elements. The work done was very professional, with great attention to detail. My husband and I love what was done and would recommend this company very highly with no reservations whatsoever.

 + -1 moreWe just moved into our house and wanted to improve on the privacy and appearance of our backyard. We had already purchased palms, bamboos and several flowering bushes but just didn't know how close to each other to plant, how far away from the fence and pool, best arrangement, etc. A landscaper was needed and the process of getting bids and ideas began. Zack was the first on our list and after our meeting, he was the last. He listened to what we wanted, drew out a design and suggested some sandstone around the pool area. We loved what he did and he was out the following week to begin. It took him and his crew of 4 three days to do the work and an hour or so a fourth day to clean up. We had not purchased enough bamboo for his design and he was able to deliver 4 more. Since the patio was not our original idea, he also has to hunt down what he thought we would like, called on the phone gave us the name of the sandstone and and thanks to the wonderful internet, we were able to choose it immediately. He advised us on the care of the plants and how we needed to amend our watering system. Too busy to do, so 3 weeks later Zack came back out and added/moved water heads. He has been a life saver for us!
Description of Work: Removed overgrown bushes and 3 trees, prepared area for planting, planted various trees and flowering plants and installed sandstone patio.

I contacted Steven's to find out that he was too busy, and he directed me to Zack's Lawn Care. Zack came over to give an estimate of the job, and he did the job during the day after, weeding and tidying up in our garden. Planted lily's and roses... Did the job to our full satisfaction. We have started using Zack for regular maintenance of our garden, like lawn mowing and weeding. And there has been no problems. Zack called in advance the single time he wanted to reschedule the appointment, to ask whether we were OK. And now there is no need to go ask Steven again...
Description of Work: Removed plants and planted new ones, removed weeds. Tidied up in our garden by trimming and fixed the draining in the flower beds around the house to make water drain away from the house.

 + -1 moreSmooth, no problems. Zack had to postpone once, but called me well ahead of time. Entire job took 1 and a half days. They started work promptly at 9 am each day.
Description of Work: We had a lot of old deteriorated landscaping that just had to go. First, they removed old wooden decks from the backyard. There was a creek bed that had to be filled in, and that took a lot of dirt. There were two plant beds that were weed-ridden and had to go. They replanted the ginger to a shady spot in the yard, took out a tree, moved all of the rocks bordering the plant beds, and took out a stump. Then, it was all covered with sod.

 + -1 moreZach was recommended to me by another landscaping service since they were overbooked at present. Zach came to our home, discussed our ideas and presented a plan and estimate for doing the work requested. The work consisted of a bed the full width of the rear yard and several smaller beds along the side of the house. Zach provided two crepe myrtle trees also with worked out perfectly for our needs. He scheduled the work and completed virtually all in one day including providing the plants. He also arranged to have the other landscaping service install stone borders for the beds simultaneous with his work. He provided several pygmy date palms, hibiscus bushes and knockout roses for the beds. After planting he completely mulched the beds. We were very pleased with the appearance and organization of the work. Would hire him again in a heartbeat.
