WASTE MANAGEMENT

After my parents passed away, they had a credit owed from Waste Management because they paid a quarter in advance. As the Executor of their estate, i followed up with Waste Management to receive the refund. It was very clear from the very beginning that they intended to make the refund process as difficult as possible. The prorated amount due to my parents was $76.25 less a $25 final pick up fee. I contacted Waste Management in early August 2016 and was told I would receive the refund in 6 weeks . On September 9, 2016, I contacted WM again because I received a bill showing my parents owed WM money, and there was a late fee. The WM rep said they would reverse any admin and late fees but the prior WM did not enter a refund request so they would need to do it again. They said I should receive the refund in 6 weeks. On October 31, 2016, I contacted Waste Management again because I didn't receive the refund. The rep stated again that I still need to wait for the refund and they would reverse another $10 in admin fees that were charged. I contacted them again on November 17, 2016 because I didn't receive the refund. The WM rep stated that none of the prior WM reps actually entered a request for the refund. They would enter the request and it would be for $51.45 and I should receive it in 6 to 8 weeks. Finally I received the check on January 31, 2017 more than 5.5 months from the first request. The amount was $39.24. I called WM on February 7, 2017 to ask why the amount was different than the $51.45. The WM rep couldn't explain the difference and just kept stating that the $12.21 amount was adjusted off the account because it wasn't due. She couldn't explain why and just would say it was adjusted off by WM. At this point it isn't the money, it is the simple ethical failure of WM trying to use their bureaucracy to rip off the families of their deceased customers.

I don't care if you got washing machines, dryers, any appliance, anything steel or piles of wood Waste Management would take it all on Friday's. I'm not having to pay for their service except once a year for our fees. I have not had to deal with them personally, but I would say it's been excellent or they wouldn't be here. They are on time and they haven't damaged our garbage cans. As low as our fees are each year it's not costing us much.

We're extremely pleased with their services.They do a great job. They never leave a mess.

Waste Management comes to our home weekly for garbage collection. They come on time and they do a good job. We do not have any troubles or trash spilled out. They supply a sturdy container that they use to pick up our garbage.
