They replaced the A/C. They came in and did a check. Looked at the heater, looked at the A/C and went ahead and charged the A/C with freon. Then I called them back about 2 weeks later and asked them to come back again because one of the A/C in the house wasn't cooling and we had a leak and we had to replace it, so they did it.They do an inspection every year. They're a little more expensive than the other guys I've hired here but they did very good work. the only issue with them is they were a bit expensive than the other guy that I had. I would use them again but it's good to take bids, A/C work is expensive so it's good to take bids. I have no problem at all calling them to do work for me but I would take bids and use the one that has a better price. Village Plumbing is good all around except the prices so they probably are the better known professional in this area. I had Village Plumbing come in and they were professional but they had to replace an air conditioning unit also and they gave me a high price for the service. I didn't ask for the inspection service, but I see why they would come in and that's the way of getting the business right away. They say something's wrong I'm not going to say fine that's okay see you later and have someone else do it. They also throw in a plumbing inspection. They asked me if I would like a free plumbing inspection at my yearly visit, and I said yes. They did the inspection the day after my air conditioner was changed. They came in and troubleshoot the air conditioner the following day they did the inspection on my plumbing. The guy showed up in the after noon, so I thought great. The air conditioner in the morning and the plumbing inspection in the afternoon. Within two days I got it done. They treated me well. Nothing wrong with my plumbing, they went through a checklist.

They asked me if I would like to be set up for an inspection on a yearly basis, I said yes. The guy showed up in the afternoon. A/C inspection in the morning and Plumbing in the afternoon. Within two days they got it done. They charged the air conditioner with freon at no expense to keep the house cool until they came in the following day and they were here first thing in the morning. They treated me well. Nothing wrong with my plumbing. They went through a checklist with me. I didn't follow them as close as I did with the air conditioning. Once or twice that I came up to check on them they weren't putting snakes or anything down the pipes. They were just opening the faucets to see. It was free. They called in the morning and by the afternoon they were there.

No leak found or could be replicated

A tech came out and recommended a hard start kit that was something like $600. Cut to this year when I'm selling my house and the inspection turns up that the evaporator coils are leaking and badly rusted--the damage was extensive enough that he couldn't believe someone would have recommended putting a new part on the air conditioner. There's no way that this wasn't something that could have been noticed and potentially prevented. Thanks for costing me thousands of dollars for a new system.

All work that I wanted done was great. Techs explained everything from the rooter to the tooter. Feel like I can do it myself next time. NOT. And the fact that is a woman owned business and that special woman is a Master Plumber...that intrigued me the most. Neighbors saw vans, got numbers, talked to me about service and want them to do estimates for them when ready. Enough said. Thanks Village. We really appreciate your service

I haven't decided if I want to work with them yet because they are kind of pricey. I've been referred to them by a few friends and they seem very honest.

Their quote was at least 3 times another licensed competitor. We did not use them for the repair itself. They were polite and professional during interaction.

I had a leak from my bathroom, the tech said that it would be $59.00 to diagnose and the $59.00 would be applied to the total repair if authorized. This seemed fair until I was told that the toilet needed a total rebuild and it would run me $400.00. I thought that was too expensive and when I said so the tech asked me what I wanted to pay. At this point I was not comfortable doing business because the rate should be equitable to all, not "Let's see how much we can charge the customer". I paid him the $59.00 and got some one else to come fix 2 toilets full rebuild and replace the shutoff valve on one toilet for $200.00.

So-so. They were on time, and polite, but that is about it.

We have used them for a few years. I have passed their name along to a lot of people. They aren't the cheapest people around town, but they do such a good job. They are reasonable. If you won't the cheapest, you aren't going to use them. If you want it fix you would use it. They have put in new water heaters. Anything you can think of, they have done. They always fix it. They do it quickly. If you call like an emergency. This is when my overtime starts. Lets get you in before overtime starts. They always do. If they can give it to me, they will.

The plumber arrived on time, checked my cartridge, answered my questions and acted very professionally. He was able to confirm that I had the correct cartridge and that it was installed correctly.

Paid $135 for him to light the pilot light and was told I might need to order parts for them to replace if it didn't stay lit. It went out later that day. The quote when at my home was $430 to put in the parts if I ordered them. Once I had the parts, they changed the price to $620. I had a different plumber put them in for $490.

They had been calling us but we hadn't been home. They actually repaired 2 air conditioners. They replaced one over a month ago and there was a noise happening every time the air conditioner came on coming thru the sink. They had called us to find out how we liked their work and we explained to them what was going on. They said we would like to come and fix that. So we weren't home and they kept calling and asking when could they send someone. Finally, we were able to get an appointment. They came on Monday. It happened very fast, they're very good at that. When you call them, they come out right away. But they were very good actually at calling and keeping up with it. They didn't just forget about us and they knew there was something and so they just kept calling and also giving us a free plumbing inspection. We have a 3 story townhouse and we have 3 units. One unit was replaced over a month ago, on the second level. But there was some air that was coming thru every time the air conditioner would kick on, there was a noise coming thru the plumbing of my sink in my bathroom like air coming thru it, and it was making a loud noise. They were coming to fix it and they were also going to give us a free plumbing inspection because they had done the AC work for us. They finally came on Monday, and they got it fixed right away, it was something they had left that was loose. They did the plumbing inspection and that was fine, but when they were also inspecting the air conditioners and they found out there was a leak on the 1st floor and there was something wrong with that air conditioner. So that had to be replaced. They came back that afternoon and finished the work. They were very efficient and fast.

The price is a little high but they are very dependable. It was an all day job, I wasn't here but my husband was. I believe there were 2 or 3 men here doing the work and it was an all day project. Because they left the noise that was coming thru I would give them a B for this time.

told us we needed two major repairs or new equipment. Installed a new part which was generic and did not fit properly and would likely negate the warranty on our 18 month old systems. Told it would hold us till we made a decision on which way to go. Called second firm who replaced parts under warranty and system has been fine since.

Outstanding Quality in our AC Repairs an Plumbing. Precise workmanship Excellent Ethics. Exemplary precision skills in determining failed components. The time it took to do repairs was very surprising. The plus side is the great discounts.

Sold an extremely expensive replacement unit for a working water cooler with a visible external pipe corrosion issue during an annual plumbing check-up. Suggest that you get a written recommendation with exact part number and then search Google before buying any major piece of equipment from them. Unit may be difficult to find so it may take some time. Try looking at sites they would use to acquire units, not customer sites. Previously, they repaired a pipe by cutting a number of holes in the wall and ceiling because they would not patch the pipe, but would only replace it. They could not extract the old pipe and left it in the wall, Extensive wall patching was needed and the entire room needed to be repainted after a very expensive repair. After using this company for decades, we have decided to never again do so. If you do not care about cost, they will generally get the job done fairly quickly and do clean up after themselves.

There prices are so expensive. I would give them a 0 for pricing. The price is just ridiculous for plumbing. They incentive their employees to upsell so they will try to upsell you anything.

I had a commode that was overflowing. Village Plumbing came out to inspect the problem and they said "you need a new inside and you need a new cut off valve." They quoted the repair cost to be $600. I'm 82 years old and I've been around the block several times. I told them that price was ridiculous. They came back and proposed $400. I told them I didn't want to pay them $400 for a $150 job. I brought a different plumber in who inspected the issue and found a pebble under the washer preventing it from closing. I paid him $45 and he went on his way.

I called and asked about repair to my dishwasher and the fellow on the phone told me that they could not send anyone until July 14th. That was 9 days from the call. Somewhat ridiculous. If they have that much business, they should hire more people. I told them thank you and called someone else. They sure spend a lot of money on advertising to lose business by not being able to service the customer.

Pros: Clean, professional, did the job well, reasonable price Cons: Not that thorough, and would've missed some things if I hadn't asked. Slight damages to my wall/banister from one guy carrying the new coil up three flights of stairs. The problem: A/C was not cooling properly. Evaporator coil kept freezing over. Before: Operators are very nice to talk to, even informed me that Thursdays are "thrifty Thursdays" and if I wanted to wait an extra day and have the technician come out on Thursday to give me a quote, there would be no service call fee. Geoff came out to my house three separate times: to quote my job, to test my system to confirm the location of the leak, and to fill up my Freon to hold me over until my appointment to replace my evaporator coil three days later. When Geoff gave me the quote to sign, he'd left off some items he'd talked about when we were looking at the unit, but put them in when I reminded him (a theme you'll see in the actual install). During: John and Hernan did the actual install. When they got here, and described the game plan, they didn't mention replacing the drain pan or installing a ball valve in the primary drain line, even though all of it was in the quote Geoff gave me (and kept a copy of). Turns out they didn't realize this was part of the job, didn't have the parts with them, and this caused an extra 45 minute delay because they had to go back and get the parts. After the install and when they said they were done with the attic, I noticed the safety float switch we'd discussed had not been installed, and so they had to go back and install it too. All in all, everything works so I guess they did a good job with the install, but potentially may have missed things if I wasn't paying attention and if I didn't point it out to them. What they had estimated would be a 2-3 hour job ended up taking 4 hours. After: They cleaned up my attic, were available to answer any questions I had, and gave me a couple A/C maintenance tips. They were professional and overall pleasant to work with. They also accept credit card, which is always a bonus. Final note: They wouldn't honor the Angie's List coupon I had that was for 5% off labor. I'm not sure if it was because I hadn't printed it out (I only showed it to him on my laptop, and I don't have a printer), but John said he "didn't know how" to process the Angie's List coupon. He ended up giving me $30 off instead because he said there was a Village Plumbing coupon he could print out for me back at the office. Either way, they hadn't broken out labor in the quote, so even if he was willing to honor it, I don't know how much he would have taken off. My friend got a quote from Village Plumbing for $1599 and she's still under warranty, so most/all of the $1599 should be labor, so I don't think I got the discount I could've gotten ($80?), but I was in a rush (since it had taken so much longer) so I just gave up and took the $30 off without a fight. Grade summary: Docked the "Price" grade to B for the coupon, and the "Quality" grade to B because I had to tell them what was agreed upon already in the job.

We have been using Village Plumbing for more than 20 years. However, service appears to have deteriorated in recent years. There doesn't appear to be any continuity to service calls. After this last inspection, I'm not sure what they wanted to do, or why. Village Plumbing did replace one of two capacitors. I didn't have other suggested work performed. After Village Plumbing installed original unit and conducted multiple inspections, surge protection is now recommended for the A/C unit ($600.00). Also, a power distribution kit ($580.00) was suggested. Last time they were here they forgot a heating system was still under warranty.
